The last few episodes up to 18, I've been getting vibe of classic HK triad movies, set in historical China era. But once I get to ep 19, it's DEFINITELY a borrowed theme from the hit movie trilogy Infernal Affairs (2002), starring Andy Lau and Tony Leung, or its Hollywood remake The Departed with Matt Damon and Leo DiCaprio.
I have goosebumps when Zhuang Shi Yang entered Shi Li Cottage front door. The light and sound used was excellent for the scene. Such an eerie, dooming sound of reveal, and you know death is forthcoming.
Such a talented cast 😍 (and obviously the crew did great work too, to give us such quality content!)
I know. Not just the cast, but I'm SOOOO appreciative of all the behind-the-scene crew. The scriptwriter, the director, the casting manager, the music person, the camera person, the costume person, the makeup person, the light person, the editing-post production person...just ANY PERSON on this project.
As explained above, but the Palace is searching for the adopted son because after Pei’s death, the Emperor’s…
On the surface and official papers, Yun Xi is FL’s brother-in-law. His late wife was FL’s eldest sister, borne to Ms. Zhou, the concubine. His late father was a scholar colleague of Mr. Zhuang, and that was why did the two families had a pre-birth betrothal of the lineal children. Hope that clears thing up.
so... I'm not getting the pei dafu plot very well. can someone explain it to me?
As explained above, but the Palace is searching for the adopted son because after Pei’s death, the Emperor’s people found there was barely any money and wealth left in his coffer. Thus, the adopted son must have funneled all the assets out by then already.
The Glory is such an amazing watch!!
