I know...I love it!

How is it? I dropped blossom after a few episodes, and bounced all over the place with Si Jin. But The Glory, I watched with my eyes glued to my screen. Maybe I'll give them a try again.

I just realized Chen Du Ling has a very graceful neck donning the mandarin collar of her garb, especially side view.

I would like to express again how satisfying it is to watch YuChi get punished by the law, and the horror on the stepmother's face in realizing that her son WILL NEVER be able to take an exam for an official position. Doom be falling on the villainssss..one by one.

Wasn't it mentioned that ML's dad was a "scholar" buddy of FL's father? Wasn't that why ML & FL were bethrothed? If so, that means ML could also be well-read and knows about the original essay. That's why I think ML did it. During the ML's house burning scene, one of the ladies came out carrying textbooks and she commented about saving all the precious text.

I think it's ML.

I feel the father also knows all about the bad things the stepmother did, but pretends he doesn’t. He’s basically using her to handle things for him, like stealing exam question and the official stamp to enter the mother’s living quarter to catch a thief.

Highly likely so he could get his hand on the mother. It would look like he’s being a nice student in taking care of his teacher’s daughter, while he’s also obtained the connection of being a son-in-law of the late prominent scholar.

She’s such a versatile actress, always delivering a powerful performance with her unique baritone voice.

Although ML may have tasked his man to handle Yang Ping for humiliating her , I feel the “second task” is alluding to ML’s effort in trying to win her over. That’s why ML told his man to shoo and scram. 😀

Cuz he realized she was behind the 6 dishes, and saving the day with the 7th dish with the flower concept dish. and is proud of her intelligence in making her introduction and presence known to the scholar community as the lineal daughter.

He does. He already sets his eyes on her to be his partner. Why else would he leaves his daughter under her care, instead of the 2nd sister who even volunteered to care for his daughter.

Other than the short part in ep 1, the rest up to ep 8 is very much battle of wits. I highly recommend The Glory.

I love how ML’s sidekick saw ML and FL together, and bearing a smile while asking about the second task (finding a gentle and strong woman to be his partner). 😁
