The sleepover scene is too hilarious. They obviously are letting their guard down and being comfortable with each other. And being awakened to Chang Yang's awaiting aunt..just too funny!!
So funny how Master Xu looked between ChangYang and Mu Dan surreptitiously. He knows something is up with his darling student's behavior in Mu Dan's presence.😁
He didn't actually find her...that was only in her nightmare. However, he clearly knew that it was her, but still…
This makes sense. She did witness the event and went to hide. He came to the shack to investigate and knew it was Mu Dan based on the peony plant and strip of cloth, and just left her there.
I also feel she didn't fully see what she thought she saw
I rewatched it again, and am rather certain that she did see what happened based on the conversation ML had with her, especially when he presented her with a strip of fabric, there was a retro shot showing him picked the fabric off the haystack where she was hiding.
For some reasons, when them three ladies sworn into sisterhood, it reminded me of Zhang Fei, Liu Bei, and Guan Yu of classic The Romance of Three Kingdoms. 🤣
That conversation between Mu Dan and Chang Yang in ep 13 was intense and full of suspense. He obviously was testing her out to see if she witnessed what he did. I'm just glad he didn't X her on the spot when he found her....😁
I don't think Chang Yang killed Mr. Xu for real. Chang Yang probably faked Mr. Xu's death to keep him safe from Prince Ning. All the dead assassinated peoples' faces were marred beyond recognition, and I believe this was done intentionally so Prince Ning thought he eliminated an enemy in court.
Wow..I'm surprised to see the skilled martial arts side of Chang Yang on ep 12/13. The story is getting more intense in term of Chang Yang's quest and true purpose in the story, and I'm really enjoying it!
I am very much Impressed by how Ding Zi Guang has directed the series.Considering His Last two projects, this…
Yes, I'm glad DZG is on this project. It doesn't matter how great the script is or how awesome the leads are if the director isn't skilled enough to execute and bring to life the essence and heart of the story.
In historical China, lovebirds would go on dates to admire the moon at night among the flowers by the water. The guy would invite the lady to “Shang Yue” (admire the moon). Chang Yang asks Mu Dan to “Shang Yu” (admire the fish) surrounded by beautiful flowers, and there’s water, there’s “yu” / fish, and substituting the round fishbowl as the orb of the moon. Perhaps they are even seeing the reflection of the moon floating within the fishbowl; therefore, Shang Yue after all. 😛😜
Although the date is unintentional, the beginning of a romantic relationship budding soon is seemingly real.
The foreshadowing is strong; the double meaning is awesome.
We have an ingenious play on words again!!
Yu= fish
Yue= moon
