The ml being straightforward with 2fl, hopefully she'll be reasonable and accept this rejection, its the 2nd one already. It would be a waste to see shijie turn bad just because of feelings. Can't say the same for the maid though.

I liked how FC was able to see through his birth mother. But he needs a new adviser/aide by his side because that uncle is useless. What love? Does he need FC to drop dead before he gets it..?

And its really good to see 2ml again. I like how he's always in purple too.

14/40 It turns out ml is the president of the XiXi fanclub. He really made a ship name, except its not for a ship but for a restaurant. He was out there remisnicing his first love while fl was with her true love, food. lol

I get it now why YYZ couldn't be fl's first love like in the novel.

It was a surprise to see ml not knowing a simple technique, since so far he is portrayed as near, if not perfect, both in martial arts and politics.

On the other hand, I'm not surprised GY ended up like that. BFX should've knocked some sense into him earlier. For such a righteous sect, he wasn't disciplined at all.

The mentor dealt with his student well. If he was already like that as a student, how much more when he becomes an official.

13/40 I prefer how quickly the ml dealt with his family in the novel. But since I already expected Yongzhou arc to be magnified here, I'll just have to get used to the schemings.

The 2fl also hid things about ml's mother. Hers is worse because she was on the same side with ml. She acted like nothing when ml trusted her. So she isn't any better in my books.

You excuse 2fl with her kingdom and only see fl as hurting ml when she has her own people as well. The way the humans treated kunwus was pure disgusting. The fl isn't the best but at least she's fighting for something she actually witnessed, unlike ml (and 2fl) who clearly saw how kunwus are treated yet tolerated it.

Your reply made me realize another reason why 2fl was unlikable. No sob backstory can justify that attack she led to the fleeing kunwus/children.

I disagree on 2ml, he was there to represent another clan that is also being bullied. That's why he genuinely feel for the kunwus. Because if his people are already being bullied despite having a leader, how much more if they didn't. Suffer the same faith as kunwus.

And when it comes to actors, I'm not biased. This is my first drama of all of them.

I usually feel for characters that can't be themselves and have to pretend to survive, esp. a girl dressing up as a boy. I've seen quite a few crossdressing dramas. But the 2fl here is an exemption. Unlike 2ml who loved and helped fl without expecting anything in return, she was keeping things from ml and made sure she gets something everytime she helps him.

But yeah, they should've shown more of ml esp. after knowing of his origin. It would've made the drama better.

Its fluffy, but thats about it.
It was rather plain and I didn't feel chemistry from the leads.
Having read the webtoon, I did have my own expectations. But the source material is way better. I recommend that one instead.

Overall, its okay, an easy watch.

Its a constant struggle of keeping my expectations low while also secretly still having faith.

Same. But I've already lowered my expectations because of the author and producer's words so maybe that's why I can overlook those and just enjoy the scenes from the novel. Though its mostly the chemistry that carried that scene for me.

And yeah, maybe some of the Qs here weren't just because they wanted spoilers but because of the confusion.

First, BFX and YYZ.
The way she asked him, the way he replied that its an honor and he'll have no regrets. She with her ribbon on air, he and his sword on land. It was beautiful how he used her ribbon as well. They looked like they've been fighting together for long and not the first time.

Second, ace BFX.
She had many fighting scenes but the one at Ma residence in particular showed her being the best in her sect. It was cool seeing her actually kill. And the best part is she did it using the villains own weapons.

Third, second bowl of noodles.
This instead of the first because it wasn't a coincidence. He went to see her solely to spend time with her. It was comfortable and serene.
But the question is, did she get the lesson? Or was our fl scammed?... willingly. lol

As for the novel scene, my first thought is the first kiss and lip bite with the first love. But I guess I have to be realistic, so it would've been nice to see sleeping beauty BFX, esp. when she fell off the boat because she was deep in sleep. lmao And the reactions after that too. lol

Finally, its monday again.
There were 3 scenes that stood out to me from the pilot week. A fight scene, a fl scene and a cp moment.
Also thought of a novel scene I would've wanted to see in the drama.

But overall, a solid pilot week. One of the best I've seen in cdramaland. It was worth the wait. Looking forward to the new episodes tonight.

This drama really is stingy with their bts that fans are legit wondering what's with them today. lol Its probably the 500M in less than a week.

Considering 12 eps are already out, I get the requests for more. For bickering moments, watch the official bts. For sweet moments, go for the reuters.

Anyways, LS got another ml to play with her fave game, that she somehow always end up losing. lol

BFX and YWY's interactions in the drama is different. The reason is a huge factor on his decision in the novel so I feel like its a big spoiler.
