Today is D-Day.

"Today is D-Day." -Kang Seon Woo

I am so happy with this ending. Not only does it provide closure, but I like that the time jump of two years isn't a quick flash on the screen. It get's length and everyone is fully developed.

My disappointment in Seong Jae story is actually elaborated on. While part of me worries for Eun Hee. Either way I'm still super happy that there is more Seong Jae, it felt like the evil spirit won. Well, now it didn't. Ha!

I love the whole crew in the kitchen and I love that they weren't cast aside. Ah!!! Edward Seo played by Seo In Guk as a guest sous chef was really funny! Ha-ha! Especially the whole kitchen crew's reactions to him.

Not to mention the "Today is D-Day" part. What a perfect scene and then to follow up with that lovely ending with the bikes. Overall this was the best way to end it. My warm and fuzzy fix was perfection. The way this wonderful drama has always been able to give it to me. Oh My Ghost will be a drama I go back to rewatch and will never get tired of. Actress Park Bo Young was amazing and I know I'll probably be drama stalking her.

Ah, the perfect ending.

What a perfect ending for Dear My Friends. The pacing issue is gone and all the things I love about this series was jammed into one. Perhaps I have to admit that Park Wan and Yeon Ha's love story annoyed me more often then I was cheering them on.

Still I love that finally Jung Ah got her wish to travel. Not to mention that Choong Nam got her wish with that as well, after all they all are living together. Hee Ja's illness brought them all together. Fulfilling wishes and making these best of friends live life to it's fullest.

I can't think of a better way to end this wonderful journey.

Best episode yet!

While I'm disappointed that Gong Shim and Gong Mi can't be lovable sisters, not Gong Shim's fault! I can take comfort that Dan Tae and Joon Soo are pretty cute friends! Even though they're both realizing that they like the same girl they are there for each other. More importantly when Joon Soo couldn't be there for Gong Shim he didn't hesitate to call Dan Tae for help. And Dan Tae didn't gloat, or be a jerk, he didn't ask questions as was there for both of them.

Gong Shim is definitely one of my favorite leads she may not be bright or worldly, but I love that she stands up for herself and gives her opinion. Not to mention when a guy tells her to do something she asks "Why do you keep telling me what to do? Don't do that. It's my choice." That way when she makes up her mind it has more feeling.

Dan Tae's crush on Gong Shim is so cute, and I love that he can talk about her bald spot without judgement. I love that both male leads are not trying to transform Gong Shim, or "not see her" she's just a friend. They both have interests in her and they like her as she is.

Overall this was a brilliant episode, it didn't really advance the plot about the missing son. But I thought it was a "brilliant". This was an episode of character development! Not to mention getting to spend time with a fabulous love triangle. I love all the characters so much, I want them all to win. (I know threesomes are not an option. ^_-)

Hilarious episode, moving, and overall just a ton of fun. Good thing it's a 20 episode drama as it looks like the mystery of the kidnapped son will probably take a while to be solved. I'm okay with that if the writers can keep up this warm hearted feeling and keep me laughing.

The pig tails of love! Jiggle, jiggle!

The pig tails of love! Jiggle, jiggle! This episode was off the charts! Man I laughed my butt off. I don't care if the plot is predictable, the rest of the show is awesome! I laughed myself silly and my face officially hurts from smiling. One of the best comedic casts I've watched in a drama in a long time, they feel more natural and have great chemistry with each other.

On that note despite the depth of Chong Mi's scheming and treatment of Chong Shim I felt for her. To find yourself so easily tossed aside after all she took from her boss. But that's what you get when you scheme against the wrong person. They might just be as cold blooded and despicable as you.

The actor behind Dan Tae was amazing this episode. As he starts to realize that he likes Chong Shim, but he wants to be there for his friend Joon Soo. I love that Joon Soo is genuinely a nice guy. This is really shaping up to be a fabulous love triangle. Especially as Dan Tae realizes that Joon Soo may be his friend, but he wants Bong Shim to be his woman!

Overall this was a great episode it made me smile and laugh, but still kept the "serious" plot going and developing well. Now Chong Mi and Shim's mother has connections to the Star group/family. Ah, the drama. Way to end an episode. Right in the middle of what may or may not be a kiss.

Oh, and the previews! I'm off to watch the next episode.

Unique.

With this second installment we get to dive a little deeper into the psyche of everyone.

See the view point from the younger children and the older people. Park Wan and Nan Hee's relationship is complicated. To be honest I can see a bit of my own relationship with my mother. Where she wants to be a friend, but what she wants isn't anything I would do for or with my friends. I can see why Park Wan is angry. Though I wonder why she would sabotage her on relationships.

Hee Ja's story is definitely interesting. It's heart breaking to see how careless her family is. Even with Min Ho coming and finally treating her well. I'm very curious what really happened with her husband.

Jung Ah is a pretty awesome character, and I'm wondering what's going on with her one "sickly" daughter that we got a glimpse of in the first episode.

Yeong Won is interesting in that she would take so much blame for what happened to Nan Hee. I feel like there's a deeper reason behind it. Choong Nam is pretty cute, and for being "stupid" she knows what's going on with everyone else.

What a unique story and I love the setup of friendships going on. The reality of how easily children can forget and turn on their parents. I'm curious as to what the Thelma and Louise plot twist is going to be? There's so much potential here and I'm enamored with it all. It's a great look into the fears of growing old and dealing with it.

Now excuse me, that cliffhanger is one I need to go and resolve.

One of the best first episodes I've ever seen.

Holy awesome sauce! What a fabulous first episode. Considering the setup that Signal is boldly putting into place I honestly thought it would take up to three episodes to clear up. I don't know why. The movie Frequency does a fine job. But despite my excitement of Signal I just didn't think drama writers could do it. Well do it and not convolute the story.

Hey, there's a reason why most drama fans give shows 3 to 4 episodes before keeping or dumping a show.

Signal's first episode manages to keep the timelines straight AND keep a count down going. Holy, cow I was on the edge of my seat. Not to mention the criminal . . . is amazing. To avoid spoilers I'll go into further details in episode 2.

With the first episode ending the way it does I'm very curious how the timeline and the detective from the past is going to tie in. There are so many possibilities. Not to mention the mystery as to why the police force truly hushed things up. Because it seems like a detective was murdered to keep things hush, hush.

The cast is amazing. The actors, so far, keep elevating the show. Each performance hits the mark and some of the stands out have me thrilled to keep watching. Hye Soo, playing the female Detective Soo Hyun, is captivating to watch. Could it be that I will finally have the pleasure of watching another great female detective in a drama?

Signal's first episode is the most solidly crafted first episode of a drama I have ever watched. The thrill and allure of the mystery being setup makes my heart beat with joy.

Well I just went out on bought the OST.

Up to this episode I haven't really talked about the other characters, just that like enjoy them and the overall story their past is building.

So I'm going to say that I love the cray-cray Min Ja (the hacker) and Yeong Jae. OK, so I have mentioned Yeong Jae, he is Healer's mentor. The one I was cracking up wanting to make a move on Yeong Shin. I love when these too are talking. They humorous and yet they're building up the great mystery revolving around that picture.

At this point I know who everyone in the picture is. It's funny that at its core it's a tragic love story. Most likey of greed and jealousy. Building a tragic love story in the present day story! I love how each episode is laying done tie-ins. There's a lot of complex work going on, and I appreciate it.

Moon Shik was our obvious villain. But it's strange to think that he's more of a puppet for this Elder. The mystery around Elder is tantalizing. Is this how Moon Shik took his junk yard business into a huge powerful company? Did he sell his soul much how Sang Soo did?

Moon Ho and Moon Shik are definitely drawing lines in the sand. Which makes me wonder why the Elder jumped the gun.

Serious stuff aside this episode was perfection!

That sweet kiss, which I hope is a prologue to even more passion. Healer's weak knees! The "make over" that took Healer's breath away. I love that everything is on Healer's face, despite that he's playing his cards close. I'm not even sure how to describe it. He's undercover, but you can see it all. That walk home with Healer following was moving.

Honestly guys I think Yeong Shin and Healer might just be my new favorite drama couple. Bravo.

Slow, but sweet.

Usually I'm the first to be bored by slower episodes. However episode 9 had such strong writing that I enjoyed it. Sure I still feel so horrible for Seon Woo being molested at every turn by Sun Ae. She's lucky he fell for Sun Ae/Bong Seon. I enjoyed how the writers talked aobut what a great guy does about sex when he truly likes a girl. Not to mention that it showed how much Bong Seon get Seon Woo, and I feel like they are both truly in love with each other. Sun Ae may have broke the ice, so to speak, but I think Bong Seon is the one he truly fell for.

This episode also highlights Bong Seon's compassion. She agrees with Seon Woo, such things shouldn't be rushed. Yet she cares enough about Sun Ae to let her have sex with her body so that she doesn't have to become an evil spirit. Because Bong Seon has chef, she doesn't need Sun Ae anymore.

This did an excellent job of showing Seong Jae past. From what I gather I think he already had a darker side, but the evil spirit possessed him. Not sure if the hint is the real Seong Jae died and the spirit took over, or if he was just weakened and that happened. The suspense! I'm so curious as to how he was involved in his wife's accident and Sun Ae's death. I have know doubt about it and I LOVE how the suspense is building. Not to mention that someone is now clued in that Seong Jae may be evil.

Overall I loved seeing how much the characters and storylines are growing. It would really be great to have more Bong Seon and less Sun Ae. Bong Seon has grown, but I lfeel like she's not getting to experience the live she's striving to achieve. AND! She still has no interest in using the resources in front of her to figure out how to avoid spiritual encounters. After all Sun Ae is friends with a real shaman! Either way I'm really happy with this drama and now that the issue of Sun Ae jumping poor Seon Woo's bones is addressed I hope they can leave that underwhelming storyline be. Though Sun Ae is on a time line here, but I would think she'll realize she wants justice for her death.

Um, no words!

No really, there aren't enough words to describe how amazing I Hear Your Voice has become. Everything is relevant to the story. Back story drama that seems like a waste of time to over dramatize the show, or create weak connections for the characters, in dramas seem like such a tiring waste. However, the writers here prove how to use it to make the characters personalities and to actually create a strong bond between characters. Most importantly not everyone is connected to everyone. IHYV has hit it's full stride and it is a thing of beauty.

While we know what Soo Ha is clearly planning, there a tons of what ifs up in the air. And considering that there are only 10 more episodes left my mind is spinning with the possibilities. My nerves are completely frazzled and burnt! The emotions evoked in this episode . . . again no words. The acting, writing, and everything about this series is showcased so well here. Another golden episode from what has come hands down one of my favorite dramas. (And I normally don't spout stuff like that until I've finished a series.)

Sorry to keep it vague, but I don't want to ruin anything.

Amazing!

It's been ages since a first episode in a drama was so amazing! Usually even if a drama interests you, it's a few episodes before things click and the story comes together. I Hear Your Voice's first episode is fantastic. Letting viewers meet both Soo Ha and Hye Sung, then Sung goes into her tale. AKA the flashback. Other dramas should take note, because this is how to do a flashback without boring viewers to death.

It establishes both Soo Ha and Hye Sung well. While I am nervous about the age difference meaning that Soo Ha is still in Highschool, I in general love romances with a age gap. It's even sweeter that Soo Ha has been looking for Hey Sung since she testified and he's going to keep is vow of protecting her. Though his on foot search seems stupid as she gave her full name at the hearing and then is apparently still keeping it. Oh, well. On foot searches for ones true love is sweet.

What I like more is that the third will of the romance isn't simply thrust upon viewers and there's a brief glimpse of him. Though I KNOW which team I'm on at this point.

The music, writing, characters, and visuals of this story are great. Hye Sung doesn't seem to take her job seriously, but everything is there for her character growth. As someone wronged by "guilty until proven innocent" and the terror of telling the truth to help someone there's plenty of room here. She's well developed and I like her!

Bravo!

Full cirlce.

There is nothing I love more than when a plot point/story comes full circle! Wow! Well I was complaining that Ri Ta and Ji Sang needed something to really amp up the buildup to them as a couple. Boom! There it is. Honestly I thought I'd have to wait to almost the end for Ri Ta to finally found out her connection to Ji Sang. What's even better is that the reveal echoed there first in counter, well word wise. That was moving and really made them have chemistry.

No really. I've got chills with from the anticipation of how they're going to be together from here on out.

Speaking of reveals and full cricles, there's a lot of it going around here. After finding out some creepy and disturbing truth's about Jae Wook's blood, it only upped the ante. Jae Wook is can excellent villain his looks and smile make you swoon, and his villainess ways temper it all. It's wonderful that more and more of the cards are finally being revealed to our leads.

Overall an excellent episode! While I knew the moment was coming for Ri Ta to catch a cold and Ji Sang to take car of her. (Come on. It AWLAYS happens.) It was so well done that I couldn't begrudge the old trope.

On the vamp mytho here's what we know:

- Antibodies in the blood can have a negative effect on vampires.

- Red blood cells make them go crazy, but they don't need them.

- Vampire can't get too hot, makes them feel like they have flu/painful.

- UV lights still hurt their eyes, even with Ji Sang's special pills.

- They run cold, and it's painful to have a normal temperature.

- Other vampires can sense each other by hearing dolphin like sonar waves. (Or scent?)

- Can they control animals? Or just dogs.

- Dawn and dusk sunlight burn/hurts. (Any other times?)

- Vampirism is caused by a virus.

- Super strength and speed.

Not slowing down!

Wow, for a bit there I thought this was a slightly slower episode with not as much punch as the previous ones. It didn't transition well at the beginning from that amazing ending. However, I shouldn't have doubted. At this point Birth of a Beauty is probably one of the most shocking dramas I've started up at random. Because it's totally blowing my mind!

Sure this episode does a lot of building up, but it still packs some punches. Chae Yeon's true colors are revealed and while I found some of the scenes with her a bit slow it also helps to show how spoiled and . . . childish she is for all her elegance.

Again this episode ends on a dramatic note, but a much funnier one. Revealing something that isn't normaly revealed until much later in most dramas. (Really I am praying that BoaB does not run out of steam later on down the line.)

Sa Ra / Sa Geum Ran's character felt a little strange this episode. Probably becasue some more shocking truths are messing with her. Sa Ra realize's she needs to become harsher to deal with such evil people. The scene where she "poisons" her family shows how Sa Ra is walking the edge and could plumet to her own moral distruction. But, with the magic of BoaB writing, it soon turns into some good laughs. Also, playing up later how caring Sa Ra is and what she's willing to protect Tae Hee from. It's a great touch as now Sa Ra's own revenge could now transform her into a a bad guy.

There are many plots coming to a head here. Tae Hee's grandmother is now being caught up in the take over for WInner. Min Hyeok is putting his takeover plans into action, and is slowly tracking down Sa Ra. Tae Hee is in emotional turmoil and is dealing with some hard truths. Chae Yeon's darker side is showing. Best part is the mental torment of Kang Joon is just starting up, and the consequences for him and what he'll do are just barely revving up.

Called it!

After episode 5 I had this hunch that Sa Ra would capture the eye of Min Hyeok--you know Kang Joon's boss. Nailed it! The possibilities that branch off from that are . . . mind tingling. Maybe after Sa Ra lands Kang Joon in jail she'll help Tae Hee go after Min Hyeok? But I'm getting ahead of myself.

Tae Hee falling for Sa Ra is pretty darn cute. Especially since he's falling in love with her personality and caring qualities, even if he was kind of going into lust with her body before. (Also refered to the horned demon.) Emphasizing that while she looks pretty, Tae Hee sees and likes the Sa Ra beneath the skin. Which for a drama that is really caught up in how important beauty is, is big.

Still love the comedic humor throughout all the revenging. It's great to be throwing my hands in the air at Sa Ra and Tae Hee's latest victory while laughing my butt off. Well done.

The corporate plot, and Tae Hee's grandma's, are coming a long nicely and soon it will be time for them to be the main focus. But for now I'm enjoying Sa Ra's revenge. The plot twists here are endless. It's nice to have a drama where I'm guessing and guessing where it's going to go. Because this mash of genres has been one of the most exciting dramas I've tried in a while. The fact that it is a mash up and can't be categorized into one basic type is the very reason it's so good.

Again with the amazing ending! Love and revenge blooming side by side to create yet another top notch cliffhanger for this series. It may be totally crazy and over the top. But I'm loving it.

(Oh, and who doesn't just love Jung Shik? AKA the Hulk? At least someone in that family cares!)

Pow!

Ka-pow! Pow!

Right out of the gate this episode came swinging. After the build up of Sa Ra's dangerous look and Tae Hee dramatic dialogue, I was nervous how the next episode would develop the show. Oh, it developed in a good way.

Most dramas drag out the good guys getting some revenge for sooooo long. To a point where it's so gloomy that most of the time I can't stand it. Either losing interest and quitting, or just ruining the rest of the show. Birth of a Beauty is not one to disappoint. There's a certain joy in watching the good guys get some well deserved justice. Heck both Sa Ra and Tae Hee get to punch Kang Joon! (Can I get some woot-woots!)

BoaB is going in a great direction. That's not to say that there weren't some seriously cheesy moments. There was a whole secret meeting scene around a burning oil can between Sa Ra and Tae Hee that pulled me out because it was horrid. Then there were some fist warming, blowing, and strangeness that was just . . . weird. Yet, I was cracking up the whole time.

That's the charm of BoaB at this point. Despite it's surprising dark turns and revenge-awesomeness. It still keeps is comedic light. Which is something I really want to continue. This is a great fusion of genres and in a fusion such as this normally one genre gets cut out. Doesn't hurt that all these other plots are going on and they're making a pretty interesting story.

This whole episode is A-mazing! What a wonderful pace and action! (Please drama gods do not let this drama spiral out!) While the ending may not have been as TOTALLY awesome as the last one. You can't help but feel happy that the revelation that food, well kindness, is the true path to a man hearts. Even trumping beauty and sexiness. ^_-

The plot thickens!

First off I have to confess in being really negative about this episode. Sa Ra's grand illusions about her "perfect husband" and not being able to find him at fault really weighed on me. Sa Ra was fast becoming a K-drama doormat, one that I didn't like. Until a 20 mins in a fellow viewer told me that Sa Ra hadn't lived with her husband in over 7 years. Meaning she didn't truly know the man and only had grand ideas in her head of what a wonderful and amazing Prince Charming he was. As this went through my mind I realized that Sa Ra is naive and from what viewers have seen she's all about thinking the best of people. Not the worst.

Once I realized that that this episode got a whole lot more interesting! Especially towards the end where Sa Ra might be doubting everything as a darker side of her tragic "accidental" death comes to light. Viewers get a more . . . dark and aggressive Lee Kang Joon foreshadowing beautifully that Sa Ra is married to a stranger and that she's just discovering things about him. Along with viewers, though we may have her one upped.

This episode incorporates business espionage, which I'm finding is a big thing in Asian dramas. There's some scary plots going on to take over the Winner group and Han Tae Hee character keeps getting more and more interesting! He knows he's the heir to the Winner company, yet what about all this mystery with his grandmother? How is Kang Joon entangled in this? And his picking Chae Yeon as his mistress an accident? Or some amazing-crazy plot devices in the future?

Overall if you can look past how you want this show to go, the development is finally happening. Sa Ra's naivety about life, and the man she thought was her Prince Charming, is slowly being shattered. Dangerous corporate espionage is being thrown into the mix, and the mystery of Han Tae Hee is build up nicely.

What started out as a quirky makeover drama with revenge against an unfiathful husband fast turning into the Korean Revenge?
