Rough start, but very enjoyable.

Rough start, but very enjoyable. I do believe that this will be very enjoyable for me. It also doesn't hurt how happy I am to see Lee Hyun Woo again! I truly loved him in To the Beautiful You. With Joy (of Red Velvet) really bringing the Joy to her character So Rim (I know, I know I went there) I think they'll be a great pair!

Overall I think this first episode could have done a better job at bringing the story together, but the basics are given. It was enjoyable.

I really loved the flash dance/band performance to confess ones feelings. (Though I felt so bad for the confessor!) Not as bad as the girl who got the flowers taken away after she picked them up! Poor girls.

Oh, and the fanservice tease has already began! Han Kyeol dancing and taking off his shirt, but we didn't get a body shot. ^_- They're playing the fans already.

Overall a fun start. I'm very curious as to how much the Crude Play member will be part of the story and such. I do like the basic concept and think this could be another great music drama. I really like how all the cast members play off each other in this first episode and expect great things later on down the line.

Protect your walnuts. Bong Soon is coming.

Wow, I'm glad Bong Soon stood up to her mom. However, I think her mom could seriously get arrested for spouse abuse. That's scary, and to me not funny at all!

So I guess Bong Soon has finally learned to control her powers. So when Gook Du got tossed it was only moderate strength. He didn't seem too shocked, though his backside hurt. I'm wondering if he already knows she has super strength or not? With both guys running to her rescue at the end of this episode I can only hope that all will be revealed.

Random things I enjoyed was the background war Bong Soon and Min Hyeok had. Along with Bong Soon saying "How dare you bother my kinds." She's enjoying be gang leader a bit too much. ^_-

Again I feel like the plot and story is all over the place. Bringing in a marriage contract thing, addressing the worries and hate crimes against women through the kidnappings, and so on. This episode didn't feel quite as choppy as the last one, but it's still there.

I do truly like the humor and crazy use of the OST for this drama. But no matter how entertained I am it's flawed. I know a lot of people think I hate it due to the rating. Nope I hate it when it 1 to 3, I have a different rating scale then others. *shrugs* Overall I love the antics and I'm accepting Strong Woman Do Bong Soon for what it is.

Oh, and I love how she crushed those walnuts and the gang leader is all like "I must protect my walnuts" with his hands.

Can't believe there are only 3 more episodes!

Can't believe there are only 3 more episodes! Tang is finally getting fully drawn into the plot and we're seeing his true colors. Though the reality is Lin Man is no innocent. Tang took advantage of an inexperienced and grieving widow. Leading her down a bad path and then forsaking her.

Yi Ting has his revenge. I was so happy when his mom came and confessed that only Xin Yu could get through to her. To show her that she was wrong, and that she was a bad mother to her son. That she gave up when things got rough. That said it was creepy seeing Yi Ting being so happy and jubilant. Maybe because we know it's forced?

The most heart breaking thing about Xin Yu leaving is that doesn't want to be with Yi Ting because she doesn't like who she is becoming with him. Xin Yu made Yi Ting into a better person, to see that there could be happiness and redemption. Xin Yu can only find negative emotions and the desire to hurt others.

Xiao Yue needs to hold onto the instincts to tell Xin Yu the truth first. I hope she can.

Tang hasn't realized the enemy he has created with his own daughter. She might like Zi Ting enough to risk turning him in. Especially when she realizes that Tang may have killed the man she thought of as a father.

Everyone is telling Xin Yu it's a misunderstanding. But it is grave. Yi Ting was seeking revenge to help him cope with his own guilt. He was seeking redemption through sin. While it's good to make the bad guys realize there are consequences. He hurt Xin Yu, she forgave him so much and just wanted him to tell her the truth. The opening song is very right. Yi Ting needs to take responsibility, and the only way I will feel satisfied is if he shows emotions and begs for forgiveness to her. Full confession.

Though from the previews I'm very nervous what Xin Yu is going to do once she finds out her friend betrayed her and that everything truly was a setup. It's enough to drive anyone crazy, but she doesn't want revenge.

Off the island and two more survivors. But waht was with that ending?

Off the island and two more survivors. But what was with that ending? I couldn't tell if it was a preview or a weird time warp jump. I'm going to assume it was the previews. Really weird though.

Well finally we're getting off the island and that should be the end of that tale. I think. Tae Ho turned into the horror story bad guy that never dies. I mean clinging on to the side of the boat in freezing water. Then stay under the tarp to slowly kill off the crew and island survivors. Boy won't die. I need him to have a seriously gruesome ending when all of this wraps up.

"When many lies come together, I guess that becomes the truth." - Bong Hee

Well said Bong Hee. I love that she has the guts and courage to accuse the head woman of the special investigation team of knowing full well what the truth is. For letting her know that blaming someone they believe is dead because it's easier--and clearly lines her pockets--is wrong. Bong Hee is such a brave girl. I love that she sticks up for what she believes and survives.

I'm glad that Tae Yeong still believes in her and is helping. Also, I was hoping those two other survivors would be them. Of course they were together! I hope they can finally date and get a HEA. It's also great that now even more members, ones who can't be swayed, will be there to support Bong Hee's story. With enough people the truth will come out.

Solid episode, but very predictable. I'm hoping that now that we're off the island things will become more exciting and less predictable.

This was a magical episode for character development.

This was a magical episode for character development. So many deep and cute moments. However, the best part is that the serious and stoic Yi Ting rode on the back of the bike with Xin Yu peddling!! Holy awesome sauce. I loved everything to do with the bike scenes.

So there it is. Yi Ting actually did bump into Xin Yu in the past. To be honest I was waiting for it. Considering that he had sought out Lin Min before it seemed an obvious thing to happen. I like that Xin Yu saved him from being hit, even offering him a handkerchief to clean up. If you thing about it this episode kind of broke some gender role barriers.

In the last episode we saw how much Yi Ting understands Xin Yu. Now we get to see that Xin Yu really understands Yi Ting. She knows he doesn't like explaining himself and he doesn't like being seen as weak. Though if he would take the time to explain he wouldn't garner hate and that causes all kinds of problems of there own.

The biggest help is seeing Yi Ting warming up. Relaxing. It's wonderful. His enemy An Sheng even realizes he acts different in that bike moment. Qian Ren loves is brother and realizes that Xin Yu can change is brother. He wants is brother to be happy and he feels that she can do it. Normally I hate it when one of the love interests can so easily toss the girl aside. However, Qian Ren realizes his love for his brother is greater and he wants him to heal. (Oh, and that gave us the "so that's what it's like to push someone against a wall" moment!)

Also it shows us how wonderful Xin Yu is. Taking Qian Ren and Yi Ting's mom out for fun and her friend. Xin Yu may on the surface be what would seem an annoying characters, but the character depth explored makes her one of the most loveliest female leads I've had the pleasure to watch.

The Tourette's syndrome is still present and I like that there where real human moments when they were being chased for the kidnapping scheme. From the cell phone moment to Xin Yu's fantasy! (Ha-ha, best fantasy ever! Especially since Yi Ting was aware and adding feedback.)

I love that Zian Ren realizes he loves his brother enough to let the girl he loves go to him and heal him. Though I agree that Xin Yu and Qian Ren are too much alike. This was wonderful episode for revelations and character growth. This also highlights what a smooth player Xia Yue is for helping Yi Ting with Xi Yu. He really should have thanked her. (You know he secretly wanted to.)

The end, but life goes on.

A lovely ending. There's a lot of layers, just like onions. Lair Song's can't stop lying. In this case though it helps someone. Though poor Ye Eun's problems are just starting. Yi Na unfortunately can't see the right guy! Eun Jae finds closure, but I think she made her boyfriend secure in their relationship. Maybe not his looks!

Anywho I loved all the tie ins and "endings" for everyone. There's closure, but they're lives are going onward.

I even like the joke at the end that we all end up old and in diapers anywho. Ha-ha. Or maybe I just read too much into it.

I could go for another season, but I fear if they do go for it they may have a whole new cast or some new girls with the old. I think if they did do the same cast that it would be fine. The writer has enough talent and we care enough for the characters to move forward. After all the drama was entertaining before the big secrets came in.

Great ending for one of the best dramas I've seen in while.

You're either in heat or love.

The nose and lip thing was too funny. Oh, yeah she's thirsty!! Water is not gonna quench her thirst.

Oh, and that whole ambush! That was fast. Though at least the whole hair clip thing came out and Pi Ya Nuo didn't try to lie. I love that she admitted it was her. Though I wonder why she didn't say her cousin was there? Why teacher? (Is this a culture thing I'm clueless about?)

I love the kinship I feel with Pi Ya Nuo over our similar tastes in bras!! Ha-ha!! Bonding through bras.

Despite it all Du Zi Feng's sister is way awesome and loving. She's right the power of love can change everything. Her discussion with him was awesome and I love their love for one another.

Hold up people why would a laid back girl, courageous, unpretentious, and someone who upholds justice equal a tomboy? Any type of personality can have those traits.

The test people! I loved how stone faced We Qing Yang was, didn't even blink when Du Zi Feng said he was testing if he liked men. Then when Du Zi Feng said he didn't feel attraction towards him that subtle and calm release of air!! Ha-ha! So perfect. Not to mention that Wei Qing Yang hit it right on the nose. They're not acting like buddies, it's more than that. On lookers can clearly see it. There's no "restrictions in love", well said Wei Qing Yang.

The whole chase thing was hilarious with the boxes full of peanuts. What luck! So when the paint gun came out I really thought they were going to use it as a real gun. So it was a paintball but why would they just hang around there? What if the paintball was the distraction and the real assassin was all like "here I am fools, your brains will be covering each other soon! Mwah-ha-ha."

That said I love how open everyone is to homosexuality. I'm wondering if Taiwan is more open about such things? Either way I always love it when gender benders have the male leads falling for the girl while still thinking she is a he. It makes the love feel real and more intense.

That said I love--LOVE--Pi Ya Nuo's cousin!!! She's so awesome, I want her more in the drama. However, I'm bummed that they writer is throwing an obstacle in front of Na Na and Wei Qing Yang's love! Let them be happier longer please.

I feel like a womance is gonna develop, or . . .

So I feel like a womance is going to develop between Jin Myeong and Yi Na. If this was a US show or UK I'd say they actually become a couple. Which I'm actually cool with either way.

It's so cute that poor Eun Jae can only see the bullying of the guy. Not that he likes her and actually moved some of those girls out of the way for her. Even cuter is how she looks up to Ji Won! Ah!

Poor Ji Won though. She's awesome, but I guess confident and outspoken (AKA loud) girls aren't that popular in Korea. Sometimes they can be intimidating. I hope she doesn't change herself and will find a guy who loves that about her.

I appreciate the frank out look that Yi Na has on her lifestyle/job. Also, I'm very curious to see more of her male friend that's in the same line of "work". I hope she doesn't move out, I think she realizes that it will change something completely if she does. It's refreshing that Ji Won and Eun Jae don't really care about what Yi Na does. Overall it doesn't bother them. (That we know of.) Ye Eun is just one of those nosey characters who deals with their unhappiness by picking and bullying on others.

The ending was rather creepy, but I don't think that guy is a stalker. Instead I think he's a private eye or police officer. The talk of aurous and ghosts feels odd, but it is a good tool to hint that all the girls have secrets to be revealed.

Episode highlights for me: When Yi Na was reminiscing when she was naïve and said that guy was "dangerous" thinking back on the guy in the sailor getup! Girl sailor getup! Ha-ha. Also, that kiss! I love that the one thing the boyfriend asked about was if there was tongue.

The truth is we're all weird. There's no such thing as normal.

I've long ago learned never to judge someone by first impressions and that everyone is human. Most likely that person isn't rude, they just are afraid to say what they think. They're not cold, they're shy. There's always more to a person and in reality in many ways we're all alike and vastly different. It's confusing.

I love the idea and concept of this first episode being Eun Jae as the fish out of water. New experiencing can be scary and everyone has to know when to jump back into the water. Just having the courage to say something can be hard. While other's don't even blink and can take the plunge. I know I'm one of those people who get's super nervous. But I always make myself speak up. It might be scary, but life is usually better when you have voice.

This first episode is (hopefully) the model for this show. I love the realistic aspect of it! All these girls are so fun and real. It's true when you're rooming with strangers they are strangers. You need to speak up. Hopefully you'll live Stranger Ville and start entering Friendship Zone. The reality is with strange roommates you may never know each other or become friends.

I'm very curious how the relationship between the characters will grow. While we don't know a lot, and we're just at the stereotype phase of development, I think it's a very promising cast. I'm really excited about this drama and I'm pretty sure my MDL friends are right that this was exactly what I was looking for.

(Ye Eun's boyfriend antics are gong to be source of much giggling I'm sure!)

Eun Jae is definitely a character I want to cheer on! I want to see her grow and I love that she already is sticking up for herself. I want to be there for her journey as she becomes stronger and can face life with more courage. After all finding words for yourself and using them is hard, it's just matter of the degree.

Ah, I get so sad when it's the end of an epiosde!

I really love the humor in this drama!! It's going the stereotypical way of dramas with the general plot, but it's kind of making fun of it. Which helps it out a lot.

Not to mention that they're spicing things up with murder!!! Ah, I don't want that character to die.

I think that's why I love this so much the drama is making fun of drama tropes and using it's humor and pacing well.

Not to mention that Joon Jae and Shim Chung are starting to get some chemistry. Up until now I just felt like the chemistry was just from their Joseon era characters.

The slow reveal and hint of things is also hard to stay patient for. Is Shim Chung that old and she chose to forget things? Or is she a fully reincarnated mermaid that is here in the future. I thought maybe the reason why her present day scale colors were different was because she was that old. Though I'm starting to think reincarnation might be it. She did act pretty surprised when she had legs on land in the present day.

It's so cool to keep guessing about it. Though I thought the cut in for the Joseon timeline was really off from where we last left them, but after a bit I realized it fit as they skipped it from the last one. (Yeah, totally confusing but I don't know how to explain it.) Poor Nam Doo's past life! I cried out for him. I'm wondering when we'll meet Tae Oh's past life? It's so cute that Tae Oh thinks Shim Chung is cute!!! How could he not!

I loved the ending scene this time! Not only making fun of dramas, but it was a pretty sweet scene. Heck even the extra at the end was making fun of dramas. It works.

The Eastereggs where really good again and I can't wait to spot more.

Holy, wow! Jeon Ji Hyeon's facial expressions are giving me life.

Shim Chung is so amazing! I love how trusting and naïve she is. Even though she's clearly been through some stuff in the Joseon era. It's also interesting that history is repeating itself. I'm holding my breath for the dramatic, and most likely tragic, reveal from the past of what happened.

This episode I liked Lee Min Ho's acting a bit more, but I don't feel like he's hitting his full potential. (I know he can do more! FAITH!)

This episode focused on surprise cameo's and easter eggs for the fans. Also developing the side characters and Joon Jae's family ties. The family drama is building and I'm sure will be coming hard soon.

I love the connection Shim Chung has with the little girl! Apparently even from the Joseon timeline. I really hope she will be involved more. The ending is an over done trope, but they got a keep things dramatic and rolling. I'm wondering how they'll spin it.

That said Jeon Ji Hyeon's facial expressions when Shim Chung finds out that she's home alone with Joon Jae is priceless! Hands down one of my favorite moments of the entire show. It was just so devious and wicked!

Poop on them for the trick ending.

Okay, so while it was happening I was so heart broken, but totally relieved that if they were gonna go there they'd go THERE. Oh, well. I wanted the Happily Ever After.

This episode showcases all the couples: Do Kyeong and Hae Yeong #1, Lee Ji Sang and Park Soo Kyeong, and lastly Anna and Park Hoon. I am appeased and satisfied. I especially loved them all hanging out together and interacting. I wish there could have been even more of that in this drama.

Again I love the relationship between Hae Yeong #1 and her parents. It's wonderful.

Props to making the side characters have such wonderful screen time as well.

This was a great way to end this series. Even if the whole thing with the singer felt really shoehorned in and oddly like an after thought. Yet, I feel like it was supposed to be part of a bigger love letter in the drama itself.

Either way, a great ending.

Chen Baron's hair is so wowza! *_*

This is my first time seeing anything with Chen Baron in it, and his hair blows me away! It's just so amazing. Oh, I foresee a super actor crush coming on this guy. Yeah, I agree with Pi Ya Nuo's girl cousin and male friend that Du Zi Feng (actor Chen Baron) exudes yumminess.

This is probably one of the best start up episodes for a gender bender that I've ever seen! I love that it didn't waste anytime and smoothly introduced all the players and the circumstances. Bravo! I think this is going to be a beautiful, and fun, obsession. I adore gender benders! I also love that the girl was raised as a guy from the get go. So she can take care of herself and is already super outgoing. The conventions of being a woman are left behind. Not to mention that actress Lai Megan shockingly is one of the more convincing crossdresser I've seen for the gender bender genre.

The best part is that the story is set with older characters. Pi Ya Nuo is going to be turning 26 soon. I love that it won't be taking place in high school. Even better this has gangsters!!!! Oh, my goodness. To of my favorite genre tropes in one.

So in my mind: gender bender + gangsters = awesome fun times

Coolest thing is the way the LOOOOOOOVE story is being setup. So they can synchronized fight together. Ba-bump! One believes in giving for being helped and the other for helping and not receiving. Oh, tangled ideals. Ba-bump. Pi Ya Nuo needs some to set her heart a flame so that she will want to become a woman in 99 days. Enter sexy wind blown hair. Ba-bump. Sexy shooting times--with some minor gun safety and where to point it (no that was not a sexual innuendo)--that totally means they have to get up close and personal. Ba-bump. Du Zi Feng was saved by a girl when he was younger and he wants to *wink* pay back his dept. Why who could that girl be that he still has the beret? Ba-bump. Accidently dancing together and then the ACCIDENTALLY KISSING!!!! *beeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeep*

Oh! This is gonna be fun.

Ah, so that's where the cries for the second season are coming from.

Okay, so that's why the fans and actors keep gossiping about having a second season. It wraps up nice enough and gives us a solid ending. However, it also sets up a whole knew A-mazing idea for a plot.

I have to be honest I was worried after the last few episodes starting doing immediate scene flashbacks. Not relying so much on the acting and kind of trying for more time. This final episode was flawless though. I love how Hae Yeong and Soo Hyeon find themselves in alternate timelines and how they go about realizing it.

What's more is the message that there is corruption, but there will always be those people who chose to fight it. Never give up. This for me has been one of the best dramas of 2016. Heck, one of the best period.

Holy, crap So just jumped of the cliff into bad guy ville.

Okay. Okay. My heart breaks with Soo. So has jumped off the cliff of nice guy/charming prince to villain like that. Man didn't even blink. The power totally corrupted him right off. The amazing thing is that the writers have done such a great job that I understand what Soo is doing. Sadly I don't condone it.

It feels like his cruelness was always lurking there. But he understood the cruelness that he suffered from and wouldn't go there. He would protect those he loved. He may not have lied, but he wasn't forward with the information. I'm sure if he told Hae Soo why her friend was leaving she would have been okay with that. Instead he let Hae Soo lead her to death.

How cruel. This episode tore me to part. I still can't believe everything that happened. The villains became the victims and So became the villain. Why is no one even thinking about 9th Prince being the culprit. He has his fingers in everything, that was his servant.

Anywho, I am torn. That was crazy. I was soooooo moved by So saying "You are my only queen." Then I was totally cheering So on when she said "I want it."

These last two episodes are going to be intense.
