This recommendation may seem somewhat orthodox, as these movies are really different in plot and genre. However, i still find them pretty sinilar in the sense that to both theres much more than what they seem like in the beginning. Both movies feature a little plot twist so its best to go in uninformed. ((They start off as (fake)documentaries, however [spoiler] also focus on the directors and tell the story of how these documentaries came to be.))

Judging from the trailer, Lost to Light seems to take a lot of inspiration from Gelboys (not that this is a bad thing. If you really enjoy that vibe, either series may appeal to you). The ost is very similar with these gamey, pixely, retro beats, the asthetics are similar, there are several scenes taking place on trains or big city squares, the two main leads meet accidentally and later encounter eachother again.
The main character is part of a music group (im Gelboys hes in a band, in Lost to Light hes part of an idol Group) and has spikey hair.
Both shows also feature idol culture/idols/idol music in general (in Gelboys e.g. the main characters are fans of different idols, attend concerts, collect merch etc..).
Multiple couples in both.
Gelboys season 2 features established couples as it is the continuation of Gelboys.
Both shows will be released in 2026

Both are gay korean minidramas about hitmen main characters that become romantically entangled with somebody that they have tl hide their real identity from. The love interest, though, is hiding a past too and knows how to deal with weapons, criminals etc too. Hes the mcs rival.
Secrets, intrigues, action, skilled killers, hidden identity, deception but true love ?

Both are korean boys love dramas with a darker vibe, theme and contents. Lots of secrets, intrigues, drama, perhaps toxicity, morally grey characters.

Both are japanese dramas that center on a complicated situationship mostly and initially motivated by sexual desire/loneliness. The characters' meeting is a coincidence but the characters realise they have much more in common them they thought. Both are also romantically entangled with/romantically interested in other people.
Lgbtq+ characters and content too

Both are GMM25 produced thai shows that are reminiscent of and parody other thai lakorn (soap opera) shows. Rich male lead, multiple couples.

Both shows are thai mystery/thriller dramas with darker themes and a more gloomy but stylish atmosphere. Death, intrigues, jealousy, betrayal, messy relationships show up in both. The main characters like to go clubbing, consuming alcohol and other drugs. The inviting event in either one of these shows is a birthday party.

Dramatic Thai thrillers about uncovering who is responsible of the murder of one of the characters. Lots of intrigues, complex and messy relationships/friendships, plot twists.
