its not often a show can stay consistently entertaining for 40 whole episodes ! the characters are suuuuper likeable and the kinship is a highlight for sure! i liked that even tho there were a lot of skilled masters, they realised their prime is over and that its time to sit back and let the youngins have their time to shine
i saw that they're making a prequel for the older generation's characters and i cant wait for that one - defs gonna be more romance in that one than this lmao
such a fun, goofy flick that ends on a lovely, (bitter)sweet, emotional note - you'll laugh a lot at first and let out a few tears too
their bond is so fun to watch!! the best kind of friendships are the ones where you make each other better people and that's exactly what they did - loved it !!!
its a cute lil gem where the chemistry between the characters shines rather than the plot (tho that wasnt too bad either) - it has a charming friends-to-lovers relationship that's a bit slow paced but still makes for a nice lil binge. better than i expected tbh!
the creators followed the source material a little too closely to the point it felt like it was holding the show back from being better...adding a few new scenes rather than the same ol flashbacks would have been much preferred as well
idk, it just felt so dry and didn't emotionally appeal to me, the production felt basic and shallow too.
"It's like they're good friends, but suddenly they turn from strangers to besties, and the scenes that follow…
u kinda answered ur own question but i'll clarify anyways - they are supposedly good friends at that point in the show but their scenes dont really convey it since theres no banter, no joking around or much casual convo happening. just feels awkward
its cute and makes for a nice binge watch but honestly yechan (and mark) carried the show...like yul's character just felt so monotone and bland and his minimal dialogue did not help either...
oh my days, what a rollercoaster...first and foremost, Jihoon is an ACTOR - bro has the most captivating eyes, can portray the most intense and subtle emotions and is not afraid to get grimy - an absolute blessing to cinema imo
All you need to know before watching this show is that our boy Si Eun seems to live by two mottos: "They go low, I go lower" & "Blood for blood" - and i cannot wait to see him live by them once again in s2
well whats your definition of bromance? cuz this show features 2 dudes with a close, non-sexual relationship...and…
ahh i see what u mean now, my bad for misunderstanding - i guess people are more willing to upvote the aspect of this show that is more hopeful and positive rather than the violence and whatnot
"Tags: Violence, Friendship, Bromance, School Bullying, High School, Skilled Fighter, Adapted From A Webtoon,…
well whats your definition of bromance? cuz this show features 2 dudes with a close, non-sexual relationship...and thats technically bromance is it not?
as frustrating as it might feel to watch the two dance around their feelings, you gotta remember that this isn't just a fictional story, this was someone's actual experience with their own best friend - that shit gets a lot scarier in real life than in fiction...
i enjoyed this! it was cute n realistic while also keeping u on ur toes with the whole 'will they?/wont they?" aspect. The side characters are super fun too, i loved GieGie, she was baeeee
So is it light hearted and easy to watch? I want something cute and light rn
yeah its pretty much cute n lighthearted all the way through - theres one ep later on where some shit is revealed about an old crush but its handled quite quickly imo
if they wanted to depict heavy ass topics such as grooming and ptsd, i just feel like 15 min episodes arent the way to do it bc they have to rush so many plotlines that it goes over the audience's head, which explains why so many people arent even understanding the grooming that occurred
it was cute, but not the right format for such angsty topics
after reading some of these comments i was kinda hesitant to start this one but i needed something fluffy to watch after work and decided this fit the bill and i was actually pleasantly surprised. the plot and story isnt anything new or special but the characters themselves were great! no toxic tropes, no annoying cliches, no bitchy exes - just top tier communication, healthy relationships and really solid friendships! a lot more than what i was expecting tbh! i proper enjoyed it despite its flaws!
the tension was so damn palpable between the leads and their acting was superrrbbb - especially in episode 8... that whole episode honestly felt like someone was blowing up a balloon until it popped i was at the edge of my seat
i fully enjoyed the psychological aspects and hope to see a season 2 since i know the manga isn't completed yet
first 4 episodes were alright but not really too engaging - just aoyama listening to people trauma dump and offering a few words here n there but the last 4 episodes were pretty good since we actually get his backstory and some decent plot.
overall i wasn't too much of a fan on the inconsistency of the show but i reckon the last few episodes, especially 4, 5 and 6 saved it
