she is so gorgeous!! she reminds me sooooo much of Avantika Vandanapu - both have super similar features and have smiles that light up the entire room !!
i generally like K-bls that are adult-centered and take place outside of uni/school but this one was a total miss for me. I didnt like the random romantic music in between every tense scene (like read the room !) and i didnt like how the relationship between Jung Woo and his senior was so vague (like was he technically cheating or not?).
The biggest thing they couldve done to save the story was to have Jung Woo be the main character, not Tae Young. That way, we could have had such an introspective story on Jung Woo overcoming his fear n anxiety, as well as a deeper look at whatever toxic codependency was going on between him n his senior, followed by a burgeoning romance with his young, puppy-like publisher....that would have been something to watch, not this boring mess from Tae Young's perspective.
In fact, we got everybody's perspective EXCEPT for Jung Woo - it just made it feel like he was a possession that wasnt able to make his own choices; if he wasnt under the direct influence of his senior, then it was the publisher deciding what was 'best' for him - he had no free will for himself at all except in the last 5 mins!!! simply put, it just wasnt well written and was off-putting
what a wonderfully intense film!! i especially loved 4 aspects of it: first, the cinematography and colouring was so bloody good...literally secondly, the closeup and zoom shots were done so well, all those closeups of the eyes just before death....ooooo goosebumps fr third, the soundtrack is just splendid, I'm glad meiko got her flowers after kill bill bc she deserved it and last, meiko kaji's piercing daggery stares along those divine kimono designs.....just absolute pure feminine vengeance powered by female rage
out of all potential couples being hinted at rn, im most excited to see the development between manager yang and mr lee from hr - i just know her husband is gonna get an ass whoopin
i looove the trope where a character thinks someone hates them but in reality that person absolutely adores them and is just putting up a front - this show does that trope soooooooo well and is sooooooo cute
the actor playing hajime is an absolute cutie with some really captivating eyes - that one scene where he wasnt actually sleeping has me convinced he would be great in a psychological horror after seeing how BIG his eyes got
the managers are also a highlight of the show - i kinda want a 3 ep special just for them hehe - all in all, a short and sweet binge!! flew under my radar so im glad i found it!
im surprised that there arent more BLs about transmigration tbh - god knows i was obsessed with reading transmigration novels with cold tsundere characters the mc had to win over just like the show hahaha no wonder i enjoyed this so much
i reeeeaaallly liked that bit of dialogue at the end about "seeing yourself from another person's perpective" - that was so heartfelt and really added a nice lil message to the show about remembering to be kind to yourself no matter what
all in all, a solid show ! im kinda hoping that if they make a s2, it'll be abt Yeo Woon entering Myung Ha's world at 29 - that would be an emotional rollercoaster id like to watch
I have a lore/theory. I wonder what was Myungha doing with the grim reaper?
i dont think the senior was the grim reaper, i think he was Fate himself, hence why the senior asked him to 'rewrite his own ending' if he thought he could do a better job - one of the posts in the discussion board does an excellent job of explaining it if u wanna read more
honestly the ending isnt as bad as yall saying - i only wish mhok and night got the proper apology from day that…
in regards to day's eye condition, he had some sort of corneal deterioration that gave him temporary vision loss - he never was going to be permanently blind, he just needed keratoplasty (corneal transplant) to give him a new set of corneas.
So with that in mind, day was always going to regain his vision, it was just a matter of waiting for the donor tissue - so i guess the ending isnt as unrealistic as some of us are thinking.
keratoplasty is quite a common surgery so i guess the unrealistic part is him waiting years n years for the donor tissue - but i guess thats a technical factor of the thai healthcare system im unfamiliar with
honestly the ending isnt as bad as yall saying - i only wish mhok and night got the proper apology from day that they deserved. Other than that, i can understand why day did what he did in ep 11 - he just didnt want mhok to stagnate his life bc of him
as for the last portion of the ending, the impact of the show as a whole would have remained strong and memorable if they let it be... doing what they did kinda makes the whole thing seem redundant/futile tbh
either way, the show is unique as hell and paves the way for stories to be centred on diverse characters - just what thai bl needs rn, we as fans have had enough of engineering university students fr (lets leave that trope in 2018 where it belongs)
while it was cute, for the 18min run time it has, there were too many gaps of silence - but i would still watch a sequel with seung joo thoo hes a cutiepie
so grim if you think about it...one man and his overbearing mother literally ruined the lives of 3 generations in Momi's family - Kyung Ja was such a solid villain tho, she stands on business fr
I felt so bad for Momi tbh, she was handed a shit deck of cards to begin with when it came to her life and it somehow just got worse and worse - and most of the time, wasnt even her fault, it was just fucked up circumstances :((

the bystander effect is so fkn detrimental to society

a s2 with jom going even further back in time like the teaser showed at the end would be AMAZING
