He sounds really really in love is it the same for her? I'm thinking about watching now that it's over but I don't…
Thank you for the long explanation. I don't mind him falling first but does she fall just as hard? As in throughout the episodes do we see her show up for him and care for him just as many times and with as much devotion as he does for her? As in if her actions were his and his actions were hers would people be saying he's sooo in love like in the comments now?
Essentially the difference between something like YAMG, Hidden love and LBFAD , Fated hearts where FL was 100% in vs something like TFF, Shine on me, Moonlit reunion where the ML was way more in love and did most of the work, if it's not actually 50/50 then I won't enjoy it tbh, that's just how my brain works, for me to believe it's love I need genuine complete equal investment from BOTH.

Thank you so much, so it's not for me then if 2/3rds or more of the story is him being more in love and doing all the chasing etc then it's not my kind of otp. It's frustrating because trying to find a drama lately where it's genuinely both people as in love is like looking for a unicorn, they practically don't exist anymore.
I'm thinking of watching this now that it's almost over and can I ask what the otp's like? The usual cdrama romance…
Thank you, yeah I've seen some comments about how she doesn't seem to care about him the present scenes etc I don't mind if she made decisions to protect him but reading some of those comments did make it seem like it was the typical cdrama romance where the fl is always much less invested and barely cares. I just don't consider those kinds of otps "love", I actually need to believe both characters adore eo from their actions and words in the same way which basically eliminates 90% of dramas, so I didn't enjoy a lot of the most popular ones like TFF, Kunning palace etc Edit: Someone below answered me as well and this isn't is for me, it doesn't sound completely unequal but very very far from equal, if he spends most of the drama chasing her even after he thinks left him just bc and she's always restrained and barely shows her love then yeah... if the roles were reversed I don't think anyone would consider it equal but rather tell her to find someone else and that's my barometer for actual balanced otps, thanks for your opinion again.

He sounds really really in love is it the same for her? I'm thinking about watching now that it's over but I don't really do the madly in love ml with barely acts like she cares fl but rather prefer couples where they're both 100% as in love and as devoted and show it with their words and actions, and from the comments I've seen so far this seems like the former...
Ok, the last 5 episodes are delightful, they're so cute together, and I love that she proposes first, pookie deserved…
I'm thinking of watching this now that it's almost over so I was wondering what the otp's like? The usual cdrama romance with ml 10 times more in love and doing 99% of the work which most people seem to prefer or the very rare rlsp where they're both as invested and as in love (Hidden love, YAMG, Falling into you etc), your comment of he deserved having her propose first makes me think it's the former.
MY SHAYLASSS!!! GOD I'M GONNA CRY. SUCH A LOVELY ENDING AND THEY LOOK SO GOOD TOGETHERRRRðŸ˜

The dynamic is pretty different tbh because the characters are very different. the romance in drama is very high…
Yeah it was pretty equal in the novel but I don't think it's equal in the drama from the posts I've seen. It looks like the classic cdrama couple where ml is much more in love.

Thank you for answering, I didn't feel like he was more in love in the novel, it felt even to me but I can tell from your answer and some of the comments here that it's very uneven in the drama. I prefer otps where they're both as in love like Hidden love or Lighter and princess rather than ones where the ml is madly in love by himself which is 99% of cdramas let's be real.
How does the romance here compare to the novel? I know they changed a lot but they did keep the dynamic of them being both really in love and as devoted or is it the usual cdrama relationship where the ml is 120% in love and the fl is at 30% on a good day?
Guys I really want to point something out. While leads joining hands for revenge is no new trope, though I always…
I rather hope it's she fell first, they fell just as hard. Almost every cdrama couple is he fell harder regardless of who fell first. Based on the mvs and trailers this looks like it might one of the few cases where we get a true power ride or die couple who are truly in love with each other not just the ml.
I want to watch this but I don't like unbalanced otps so I wanted to ask, are they mutually in love as in the…
That sounds promising, thank you because I'm honestly tired of all the unbalanced otps, almost every couple is the ml madly in love and his entire life is about fl but she barely puts in any effort. If I don't see both people putting in as much care then I don't buy the relationship.
Finished watching these two episodes and I have to say that I’m very proud of ML for finally letting the FL…
I want to watch this but I don't like unbalanced otps so I wanted to ask, are they mutually in love as in the fl is making as much effort and is as in love as ml or is the ml doing a lot more like most cdramas?

South Korea keeps churning out these K-dramas about vigilantes, rogue cops and alternative justice. Shows like…
Exactly, it's why these kind of dramas even if cathartic have started to feel incredibly depressing to me because we know all of this happens irl and very frequently too and yet unlike fiction, there's no saviors and no justice. It's the social justice equivalent of the romance dramas we have nowadays where in fiction every man is a perfect greenflag who adores the fl from day 1 and does 95% of the work in the relationship and yet irl every single day you hear about 5 horrifying things happening to women in SK (it's not just them, it's the whole world but since we're discussing them rn). It's all utter fantasy which is fine but a certain point...
I don’t know at which episode you are but do keep on watching the first 2 episodes are boring but it gets better…
😅 You're not wrong, a few years ago (pre 2022) almost every relationship was balanced so I keep hoping this is just a passing phase and we'll get back to real romance instead of self insert fantasy but alas.
How's the romance in this one? Is it RJL's usual with a ride or die FL and an equal otp or is it more in line…
Same, I barely watch any romance now because it's all like this lol. ML falls madly in love by ep 3 and his entire life is about the FL while she barely acts like she likes him and then we get one very weak act of devotion from her in ep 33 and it's over. Have you seen his Love of nirvana, is the otp equal in that one, I've been meaning to check it but was hesitating because of this.

Thank you for the detailed answer, I don't mind that it's a subplot it seems like that's the only way to get an equal relationship nowadays in dramas. Every airing romance k/cdrama is so one sided and unbalanced, I'll take a subplot because that's all there is at this point.
Cant wait tomorrow’s episodes! LQQ becomes badass again, its all what we have been waiting for! And his eating…
How's the romance in this one? Is it RJL's usual with a ride or die FL and an equal otp or is it more in line with the new trend of very one sided couples?
