I agree with you! I thought the ending was more profound this way. Might’ve needed 1 more episode in the end to make it feel a little less rushed but I loved the conclusion.

I agree with you that the present day portion in the end probably needed 2 episodes at least. But overall it was quite satisfactory! I feel like a lot of viewers overreacted and gave it a lower rating because the ending didn’t follow the web novel which we would probably characterize as a “happy ending” since the main leads end up together. The drama ending was more bitter-sweet but in my opinion, also more profound.

This is a brilliant drama and definitely one of the best this year. Some viewers are not happy because the writer changed the ending so it’s not same as the web novel. But in my opinion if you don’t know the novel ending and you’re not comparing, this ends pretty well and wraps up all loose ends. Overall every episode is binge worthy and very thrilling. I found it to be much better than Vincenzo!

Still on Ep 3 and there are so many similarities with Again My Life. Also shocking how both Song Joong Ki and Lee Joon GI can convincingly play college students 🫣

Soo yeong is one of the most pathetic characters out there. She has no pride or self esteem. She is the CEO of a company yet all she does is lament over a relationship that ended 12 years ago and behaves like a dumped teenager!

What a well written and well acted drama! It keeps you guessing the whole time. Highly underrated!

Ji Sung had one of the best endings with The Devil Judge so hoping the streak continues :)

Even with slow pacing, I was definitely intrigued by the storyline and mysterious aura created in the first few episodes. Whoever dropped this early is missing out on a real gem!

Still can’t believe Adamas is only 8.0. This drama is phenomenal!

Exactly my thoughts! This drama really lacks any depth or character growth (except maybe for the Crown Prince). Villains were laughable and writing was too convenient to make Jang Uk look like a huge deal! Definitely meant for teens who would swoon over pretty faces and call it the “best drama ever”. As you said, parts of it were enjoyable and I think production value was solid. I wish S2 will make female characters look stronger and not damsels in distress.

For such a high budget drama, the king’s crown looks so cheap and crafty 😂

Maybe their name was also inspired by the word “Adamas” 🙂
