Uee does a great job in her dramas. That's why they keep giving her lead roles. She is bankable. My favorite is Ho Goo's Love. This drama has started off just fine. She does not deserve this level of hate. I will never understand why anyone would watch a drama or movie starring people they hate.
Airs 7 episodes each week at the rate of 1 per day. It's not a dumb question. :-)
I can't really recommend,as yet. I have only seen 3 subbed episodes. I need to see the story build up because it appears confusing compared to the various descriptions. But, it has promise. Of course, everyone is beautiful. So, it is easy on the eyes.
This is a very good underrated drama. I started watching to get a feel for it and marathoned 24 episodes over a three day period! There are definitely enough interesting characters and a decent storyline to make me anticipate the episodes. This is not the depth of romance as in Ten Miles of Peach Blossoms/Eternal Love. But, I am wishing hard that the romantic couple make it against the odds. Romance starts about 1/3 of the way into the drama. Ignore some of the bad CGI which is typical of Chinese fantasy dramas.
The male lead, Tong Meng Shi, deserves more leading roles. His action scenes and acting are very good. His dimples are "to die for!"
Am I too weak or there is someone else who also fall for Lee Seung Gi everytime he appears on the screen? Seriously…
Military leave has done wonders for his looks and his acting! He appears more confident and his boyish good looks got upgraded to a more man-ish great looks! Stunning!
Glad that you think like that and I hope this list helped you a little. ;)
Yes, it was helpful. I watched One Million Stars Falling from the Sky. Takuya Kimura was an excellent actor even 16 years ago! It was heart wrenching to watch! Thanks again!
Red Cliff and Red Cliff 2 never gets old. They are great examples of director/screenwriter/producer John Woo at his best. Fantastic and realistic looking war scenes and intelligent characters down to the women makes these two films a repeat watch for me!
it's basically a set of action scenes spread over 2 hours and not much else. The story is yours to make up from assumptions based on the few lines of dialogue between the action scenes.
This is the standard Chinese comedy-action drama with wuxia as the main theme. Special powers are gathered through cultivation of the Tao or finding magical treasures in wuxia novels. There is a lot of antics as masters of their fighting arts and powers challenge each other to duels in every episode like cowboys trying to prove who is gun slinger. Every argument leads to a fight and the loser spits out a mouthful of blood before he can surrender or run/fly away. Suspension lines are evident as in typical kung fu movies where even billowing capes are suspended by the obvious strings. This is not a drama for those looking for logic and seriousness. It's lighthearted cheap laughs. 8/10
This is impeccable story telling that is beautiful to watch with some of my favorite actors and a soundtrack worthy of the film. I have watched this a few times. Bravo!
