I watched raw 64 ep so not many left... we are still nowhere ... will there be a second season about the prophecy…
There has to be a second season to finish off the original book and add a new storyline. I pray for a new director, a producer that can properly manage the budget for the drama, less than 50 episodes (35 is about right) and the same main cast members, but, I doubt the popular ones will return. Novoland The Eagle Flag will give an indication if this one will be back or die out like Princess Agents. NTEF has much bigger budget, but, the director, producer, cinematographer jobs are split between 3 people unlike this drama. So, it is unlikely to have the overruns and excessive poor editing as in this drama. Plus, viewers are more prepared and expect great things out of the follow-on Novoland projects. Let's hope they can live up to it.
can anyone recommend me this similar movie/drama.. Japanese or Chinese.
-- Try out these Japanese romantic dramas: 5-ji Kara 9-ji Made (2015) - Hilarious from the opening scene. A bit more sad in places, but, ends on a good note. L-DK - Set in high school with the cohabitation theme. It is lighthearted and cute in places. --This Korean drama has a lot of cuteness from the male perspective. Ho Goo's Love - Ho Goo is simply adorable. -- This Chinese drama is great: Sound of the Desert - Lots of endearing scenes and strong love rivals making it hard to choose who is the best man for the heroine.
You will miss out on the truck load of cuteness in this if you don't watch. It is surprisingly a lot better than the description because of the chemistry and very good humor. My favorite line is "I put a lot of effort into making you despicable!" Belly laughs from start to finish. I seriously love that dog!
This drama starts out exciting but becomes verby draggy and slow pace midway. I've watched 56 episodes, almost…
The middle drags quite a lot due to the added filler scenes to sell this drama at a higher price. I read 50 episode was the original length. Lots of flashbacks and endless conversations that amount to nothing are the weak points of this drama. The scenery, cinematography, sets, costumes and acting are the best. They make the drama worth watching. A re-edit would help this drama be the best and most beautiful Chinese drama. I state this with reserve since most Chinese drama with historical clothing ends terribly.
I feel the same Han Jiang's story has the opposite problem, good characters, good story, lots of potential, but…
Shawn Dou is an excellent actor. He makes a great Muru Han Jiang because of his smile and his acting skills. Even the background music changes to playfulness when he is dealing with the Wise (little) people. Also, Muru Han Jiang is the most selfless and friendly character. He spends most of the drama helping others. He is quick to declare life long protection and friendship. Muyun Sheng is understandably a social misfit. He has only one friend and many enemies. Everyone hates and/or fears him through no fault of his own. So, of course he does not trust people since he has been locked up like a dirty secret all his life without warmth and intimacy. So, he gets and deserve more pity than Han Jiang that had freedom and He Ye who had parental love.
The comedy is more entertaining than the romance. Second lead is strong, but, not strong enough to overtake a 10 year one-sided relationship. The old ship is made of steel! I enjoyed it, even the ending because everyone benefited including the 2nd lead who moved on from ex-girfriend hangups.
Rinse, repeat and add two rivals for the couple. Nothing changes except the setting. They are not more mature by being in college. The new rivals are more exciting and more appealing. The MC still lack communication skills and avoid the obvious which is typical of a school romantic comedy. Doesn't feel as satisfying as the first season even with the cute moments sprinkled in. Maybe, I know the main characters too well and they offered no new surprises. Ok to watch.
This should be retitled "Mo Ri Who Stole the Drama" because of the transformation of the character whose acting and facial expressions clearly showed a man fighting with his conscience! Kim Jung Hyun's scene stealers were the most memorable and he has only acted 2 years! The start of the drama gets you hooked on the Hong family issues. The middle was a snooze fest with very repetitive action that could have been cut and not missed. The ending provided closure. 8/10 is generous. No epic work here.
I watched even after reading the bad reviews. I liked the cast, so, I lowered my exceptions to watch it. I did not go low enough. The animation , Yang Yang and CGI backgrounds were beautiful. The rest of it was disjointed.
could someone explain what do they mean by 'mercenary' and why are mercenaries in disdain? I'm only familiar with…
They are called scabs in the USA. They are not part of the striking group. Companies who don't or can't meet the terms of the strikers will just replace them because a lot of people want jobs. The scabs are usually hated by the strikers. Korean contract workers have few benefits like the permanent workers and are paid a lot less. They can end their contracts without renewal, essentially, they are at the mercy of the company. More contract workers mean less troublemakers.
The original Japanese drama was brilliant! Pillow hugs and tears. This has the right ingredients with tvN producing, the director from On the Way to the Airport, the writer from the dark drama The Handmaiden and Lee Bo Young as the lead. Yep, this will work.
Animation focused on wuxia fight scenes while the story is explained in dialogue in the closing scenes. Kind of backwards. It's set up to add on a sequel. It's ok if you like wuxia.
This drama is produced by HUACE CROTON media. The same people that produced 10 Miles of Peach Blossom, Love O2O, General and I, etc.. So, I have high hopes for this. Croton's PR video: https://youtu.be/whcvlnBwXzE
