Yes the scheming is a tad ridiculous. But the end was satisfying to me. Jang Na Ra and Daniel Choi rock this show.

Seriously a surprisingly great drama. I'm on Ep 17 and while some said they got tired of it, I'm still loving it.

I think that that's actually realistic because I'm skinnier than her and have problems with seatbelts. Seatbelts are jerks lol. Though I understand what you mean. Have to keep in mind it was a sports car. They're trying to highlight problems bigger people actually have.

I consider fat jokes people actually saying, you're fat, laughing at her, and her being clumsy and running into things. Her friends made some comments and people give her some looks but it's not the main cast that's fat shaming. The writers seem to be trying to get away from that and address issues with being slightly overweight in that kind of society. They're focusing on the fact she's been yoyo dieting and living unhealthy. And while her friend makes fun of her weight, nobody else has told her to lose it, that's she's worthless for being like that, or anything similar. Except that second female lead. She seems to be here just for that purpose which is crazy since she used to be in the same situation.

That's a good point. I'm holding out that he's not your standard kdrama jerk and that there are actual reasons for the decline in the relationship. And not because of her weight. Now his girlfriend on the other hand... hahaha

Her boyfriend seems to have fallen out of love with her and with another woman. He has yet to say that it was because of weight and he genuinely seems to still care about her as a person. I really hate that the premise spun such negative connotations with the drama. I understand why, it's just a pity.

I about died when I saw a 6.5 because it's much better than everyone thinks.

I think if you watch it, you'll realize that at least so far, it's not actually about body shaming. The female lead is overweight compared to other Koreans but none of the males have commented on it so far, and the reason So Ji Sub calls her unhealthy is because she's taking dubious diet pills and a bunch of other medications. I will admit her friend comments on her weight, and I hate that, but we've got to consider the culture. In Korea, she's not skinny. One of the male leads even goes as far to flirt with her. It's much better than the premise makes it sound. I say this with the caveat that I've only seen the first episode and this might change.
