Lee Jang Hyun is a perfect man
On my scale he's more than 10.
The rumor about the inside of his pants?
I gladly check if it's true if given a chance.
Instead of pretty flowers he gives you a knife
He wants to make sure you can protect your life.
Loyal to the people that are close to his heart
His face is easily the most beautiful piece of art.
Yeet me into that story driven by the war
I'd probably die in a second on the floor.
But if I can catch just a glimpse of that guy
I would not mind saying my final goodbye.
Ma dudes, I'm a goner 👍🏻
It's a different person with the same stage name. He is a musical theatre actor. That's for the ost version.
As for the singing in the show, pretty sure it's the actual actor singing.
I think IU would sound better in The Painted On The Moonlight
I am spamming all my friends threatening them to start watching it (in the middle of rewatching with 2 friends, them watching the first time. they love it, joined the cult successfully).
I completely changed my profile and filled it with My Dearest
and now I even recorded a cover of the ost 😭😭
thought I will do small self promo even tho there are some... painfully off pitch moments 😂😂

So as far as I see it there are 3 levels of badges for different actions done on the website. It's a new feature still work in progress.
There is also trendsetter which we have no idea what it is about.
But here they truly are doing their best to keep it realistic in visual presentation.
But yeah, I think she might convince herself YJ is the "right choice" for her and that phase of her journey is going to be painful and frustrating to watch 🤡
replying the same I did previously:
I don't believe in writing reviews of ongoing dramas, but I do review everything I complete watching so I will also write a proper review for My Dearest after I finished pt1 (and then another review for pt2) 😉
What are you doing if you are not watching My Dearest when it's gonna be the best drama of 2023?
First of all to all the bishes who enjoy romance - this has THE romance. The scenes are shot is such a perfect way, that even when the mains are not sharing the screen, it's enough to have them think of each other, or look at the moon with knowing tiny smile to create butterflies in my stomach. Since the characters themselves are rather complex, their interactions are that much more interesting.
Gil Chae is exactly what I want to see in a strong female lead. She ain't no wonder woman with ridiculous fighting scenes that no woman in that era could possess. But she has wits, she has brain and she is brave - all that makes her true survivor and protector.
Namkoong Min delivers such an amazing performance as Jang Hyun! Easily his best role in his career. I enjoy his flrity, silly, confident, arrogant, strong, desperate, sad, painful scenes. I enjoy every second this man is on screen.
Then we have Yeon Jun and Eun Ae who represent the idealistic stereotype. And with them we see what would truly happen to all them cute fluffy leads in so many historical dramas if they tried to be more realistic. And it's hard, and it's scary, and I love it, because it hits you and makes you think.
And that';s when we go to the directing AND AL THEM AMAZING CONTRASTS kept in the "show don't tell" approach.
The production? Everything one would want from more realistic historical drama. Female lead ain't no white flower with red lips after all the bad things happening. She looks like a real woman with imperfections, blemishes. And so do other characters. The way they look truly reflects the situations they are in. You won't laugh about how no matter the occasion women have perfect hair and beautiful make up on, that they don't take off even for sleep. What else I love about the production? The fact Ahn Eun Jin actually sings the ost. When you hear the vocal of the character singing the song, it just creates a whole next level of emotional response, because the song becomes a representation of their own feelings and thoughts. It's not just an accompaniment for the scene, it's part of who the character is.
anyway
WATCH IT. Right now, pretty please!
I'm far gone into this madness - obsessed. My Dearest took over even my profile 🙃
ps. if you still have any questions, feel free to ask, I will be more than happy to answer and convince you to watch it 😊
