Title My Perfect Stranger Spoiler
FL going after her future mother and calling her "mom" non-stop was really dumb imo. I get that she was suffering…
I get the initial mom scene - she was shocked: fair enough. But everything that followed was just dumb hhahahaha

As for the ML... it is sus. It would not be if he got any other job, but for a teacher position one would assume they would want to check his ID πŸ˜…

I kind of liked episode 2 more than episode 1. Now that they don't need to switch between timelines as much (only tiny bits for context) the pacing and directing is more smooth. They truly did struggle with set up in ep 1.

I like Yoon Young so far, but I also question her so much every time she calls her mom "mom" in the 80'. Is it so hard to figure out and accept she is not really her mom yet, since she is just a teen and has no idea who FL is. She kept acting so creepy 🀣

For the killer part, I find that bro of Hee Seop sus for no fucking reason coz he legit was shown for like 10 seconds 🀑

I'm not exactly sold on the story or the characters, but for now I will watch maybe 2 more episodes.

Not sure how I feel about episode 1.
First of all - opening scene was bad. Did such a fucking poor job to set up the mystery and tension πŸ™ƒ
It's obvious we would have at least a little bit of non-linear storytelling at first, but the transitions between the times were chaotic and weirdly placed. It was not hard to follow, it was just weird.

I like the cast and I hope they will be able to give some good performances that are different from what they did so far (especially Jin Ki Joo since all her roles are hella similar to each other - at least for the mainstream productions).

Visually speaking - decent. Nothing outstanding. Not one shot that got me - damn that's pretty.

Also, for a 16 episodes... they could have taken their time with the set up, and bring FL to the past only maybe half way through episode 2... this does not seem like a 16 episodes story, especially if they will keep up that pacing...

Again? I hardly see him post anything recently other than one comment on Happy Merry Ending
From what a lot of people said, he got his account banned for exactly the same behavior more than once. So how many times he should act this way before it's valid to permanently ban him from site? How many chances is he supposed to get before it's fair to stop allowing him to make new accounts?

Personally i put him in the same box as said sjws, since the way he talks and communicate is more or less the same emotional reaction - two sides of the same coin.

But didn't you yourself said after he got banned that you don't know what happened that he started to insult people? Insulting people is getting personal. Even when he was "arguing" with me he often moved from dissing the show to dissing ans commenting on me as a watcher.

I mean... He also had questionable takes on age of consent and tried to convince me i was for sure attracted to teenagers (already during my adolthood life) and if i say i never did, I'm lying so i guess there might have been a bigger issue than just being rude.

He was in fact quite rude and aggressive in his replies.
It's not the first time he got banned.

People don't get banned for criticizing shows. I know what I'm saying, I write an essay long review shitting on TharnType at the peak of its popularity 🀣 and nothing happened, just a few angry comments here and there.

Pro tip - someone disliking this show (or any show) is not a personal attack on anyone.
Most people don't writes their criticisms just to piss fans off, they just want to share their opinions. The same way fans can claim the show is a masterpiece, people who dislike it can call it trash.

And the few people who might legit be trolls - more reasons to just scroll past and leave them alone., interacting is not worth wasting your time.

The editing was at times truly painful←fr, i never really got past those openings XDSometimes one person stops…
I wrote the review morning before the episode dropped, so when JH started to talk about this taking steps at the end I was so surprised hahahaha
The coincidence of me writing that paragraph in the review and then similar scene playing in the drama itself was hella funny hahaha

I don't know if you have a therapist but that's something mine would say. The relationship between therapists…
She was not blaming him for anything lol She pointed out how his behavior was selfish because not once he considered the other person - he only thought about himself, his perspective and his understanding of the situation. It's not the same as blaming someone. Especially since there was nothing to be blamed for.

For Ji Hyun - I get why he apologized. I mean, I don't know for sure, but I can at least think of a reason, since…
It's not, because that bulling can exist in this extend exactly because of the hyperfocus on social relations. That's why a senior can bully a junor, a boss can bully a worker - because person younger or lower in the social ladder basically has less social rights. Hence the same thing you will say to a person your age is viewed as fine, but similar line said to a senior would be disrespectful. Or the way your senior speaks to you is fine, you if you reply in a similar fashion- it;'s rude.

You are free to stand by your opinion Β―\_(ツ)_/Β―

no, it only proves she is aware of how much of a bitch she is, but does not negate how by the society standards it might be viewed. He apologized coz "by the book" it was rude, without knowing she did not view it as such.

I have seen many more exaggerated cases than this, when someone was "rude" to their seniors. People having to apologize for not looking down (which was seen as rude) after they were hit by their "senior" being one of the examples.

Did he act like a dick towards Ji Hyun? Yes. Were there many Red Flags? Yes, since there were many unhealthy behaviors…
Whenever he was naive is a bit of a 50/50 chance. Depends where they will end and if Jae Won will be able to improve his mental health and deal with issues with Ji Hyun in mind and in more healthy manner. Coz if he does - nothing naive in Ji Hyun, but rather shows he trusted the right person. But if Jae Won does nit improve and gets better, then yes.

Like... we basically know if the chance we took was naive thinking or not ONLY after we get the results. And it's then the case if we think the risk is worth it in the first place. For Ji Hyun is was. I think the fact he does not have any traumatic past or psychological issues is one of the reasons he can handle the situation well - because lets say he is emotionally healthy. While if he also had some issues, he would be incapable of dealing with it (most likely).

She acted like a complete bitch. BUT when you watch a show from Korea gotta look at it from their cultural context or you will see a lot of things that make no sense. Again, being sassy to piss off your senior is viewed as rude in that culture - even if objectively you were not wrong in the way you acted. In Poland (where I am from) this would be no issue since we don't hypervalue seniority. But since Korea does, it was considered rude. But even she figured out his behavior was a reaction to her acting like a bitch so she herself said he was not rude, just "sassy".

Ae Ri si extremely open and has no issue speaking up. She has a different personality than Ji Hyun. For me, he should NOT apologize, but taking into consideration his personality, it made sense he apologized.

i'm not defending him. Explanation is not excuse. But explanation can give you an information if it's worth getting yourself into a relationship with a person or not. Jae Won did wrong, he had to apologize. Now he needs to act better. Then it's on Ji Hyun to decide if he can forgive and give him second chance. Which he did. I would not. I would not think I can handle a relationship with someone like Jae Won based on my own personality and past life experiences - that relationship would hurt both me and my partner. But I am not Ji Hyun. and I can understand how Ji Hyun would forgive, especially if he believes Jae Won can get better and they clarified the situation.

Ji Hyun has more than one feeling and emotion. He himself prioritized his feelings towards Jae Won, over how hurt he was when he was ignore. BOTH are Ji Hyun's feelings. His love for Jae Won was basically stronger than the hurt he felt (especially since he kind of vaguely understood Jae Won was not acting like a dick just coz he wanted to see Ji Hyun suffer, him being able to observe that made it easier to forgive later).

Now... it all depends on how Jae Won will act from no one - after they got together and explained everything. If he still tries to make decisions himself, run away when something bad happens, instead of verbalizing his fears and letting Ji Hyun be part of whatever is going on and how to deal with it - yes, Ji Hyun should leave. But that's just talking in if and maybes.
