He criticized a member about speaking for others and not just himself, while he also spoke for him in the interview saying that he has this and this style of rap making, instead of letting the guy talk for himself. I just cannot stand people who criticize in others what they themselves do.
He said, even if he is called dictator he will not let the team go into a wrong direction. What it told me is the fact he wants to force his opinion, and not convince members to his opinion.
And what's most important: judges criticized all the guys the same way - the fact they tried to show off their skills instead of making a good performance, and it left the audience with no space to even breathe. It's valid for the guy to say they all need to redo their parts and fix mistakes, because everyone got the same feedback. But Hee Do made it seem like this one guy was bad and everyone else did fine. the kid LITERALLY just repeated what judges said, almost word by word, and Hee Do went: speak for yourself don't bring down other members. When judges themselves said "the rest 5 of you".
This learning dances fast is always an issue in all shows like that. You can have an amazing dancer who struggles with remembering the moves at first. But if you give him enough time, the end result will be better than the quick learner. So the question is - do they want good results or quick results?
And omg yes for singing. Most of these idols don't even sing them high notes, they scream them, with literally no control over them. It's not even nice to listen to.
As for Hee Do - he is blacklisted for me, I have no patient for guys like that. These contestants always pick the wrong people for the leader role. They never take into consideration the skills leader should have, but go for specific idol skills. So he was in many survival shows, he became leader, even tho he sucks at communicating with people and motivating them.
You complaining about other people complaining about the tan also adds to the number of comments about tan.
No one ever complain if the compliments about the drama are exactly the same, but if everyone criticizes the same aspect, it's an annoyance and an issue out of a blue.
Light skin was literally (not only in Korea) a symbol of higher social status, because it meant you did not have to do manual work outside, hence you did not get tanned skin.
And let's go crazy and say she never had another man. They guy he thought she was cheating was I don't know... her doctor. She still lied to ML for a year at least, and then broke up with him with no explanation and left him believe he was cheated on for such a long time and she left him for another dude. No matter what her reason was to do that, she is not a victim in this scenerio. I legit hate how writers always try to give some pity stories to excuse bullshit behavior 🤡
I don't even think there is anything wrong with shows being just fluff and that's the only thing they can offer, but even fluff shows can be done well and memorable, and mediocre...
I mean, these are the issues of trying realism for period dramas. Ain't no skin care with whitening shit in the past, but all the actors who play the roles are pale because of all the cosmetics and sunscreens... So they need a fake tan, but it's not easy to keep it look good for the whole filming period...
Also, love how they put fake tan on everyone, but FL, coz she obviously still need to look "pretty" 😅
Honestly, if I was in Doo Hak's position, I don't think I could maintain my friendship with Cheol Woong. Friendship is build on the idea of partnership, and since he will forever have to lower himself because of his status... It would just emotionally exhaust me.
I have to say tho, overall it's so aesthetical beautiful.
That said, I will also be a bit sad if it will be ex-friends against each other and SML being the evil dude throughout the show, because of his complexes. I rather have them both be good. But after episode 1, SML is just so mentally weak he is on a perfect road to evil pathetic... Unless this whole shit that about to happen will be a wake up call for him.
Also, his mom is a power hungry, but also dumb af 🤣
Dome a bit of an idiot, but I don't really mind.
Chemistry with Khatha - A+
I need next episode right away 😭
Also, Khatha with that cane? 🔥
We all know Gaipa's mom died so he can meet Alan 😅
That said, it was still one of the better representations of deaf community.
omg yes about the sign language scene. I get what the director wanted to show - a small representation how deaf people feel with the limited ways of communicating with others (since most people do not know sign language) and for us to better connect to Li Ming's hard work to understand Heart through the context alone, BUT it only worked at first, when Li Ming himself did not know the sign language. Later when there were scene of both of of them using it, and Li Ming not even verbalizing what he is saying, there were not even any clues and context to get by. It was just cutting the viewers out of the scenes completely.
Overall damn good and detail review! :)
but all the rest like cheating and morally "questionable" things - you do you, film if you want to. It's not like anyone forces others to watch the content. If someone does not like it, they can just not watch it ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
