I mean... I can't talk for others. But from my perspective, I can enjoy how ridiculous and entertaining this show is, while knowing it's "toxic relationship", but I could not do the same with TT because except from the typical romance toxic stuff, it also tried to include in extremely poor manner child sexual assault, gang rape, ptsd and dealing with trauma etc. Too many serious topics were completely mishandled and added only to make the story cheap angst and hot scenes "hotter" and that I cannot support.

People like these two, who did not care about another child potentially dying, are great at finding excuses for their shitty behavior, even if it concerns their own children. Dude would most likely think that not accepting the punishment is actually better for his daughter in the long run. Sure she might feel bad right now, but they will be able to keep the stands of living they have, she will be able to go to university she wants, she won't live as a daughter of a dude that drunk driven and almost killed another kid - or any other bullshit excuse.

IF they showed the parents being TRULY concern about the daughter before the quick change of heart, I would have less issue about it. But they didn't. They showed them as these makjang comical assholes who did not care about anything, but their image.

The child was having breakdowns before the whole revenge thing happened, and they completely ignored it, did not even do anything to check if she is okay after the accident, acing as if nothing happened in front of her, without any care how their actions might affect her. But out of a blue now they care? The dude hide in the hospital to avoid punishment, they did not think to get the child to hospital to get some psychological evaluation. The idea that one phone call from a random girl, and then the daughter saying "I want to be a good adult" wad enough for a dude who clearly had close to zero morality, to willingly kill his career and go to prison is a bit ridiculous for me. Not all parents are good parents. He was not a good parent. The mother was better, but she also focused more on the husband than the child after the incident.

90% of the fights and drama did not happen, and for sure not in the way they were shown. Mnet can create a bloodbath from a conversation about favorite ice cream flavor. Too many people from other mnet shows talked about how some of the most viral fights were fake, and mnet just edited the footage from different moments to create a 💩 that never happened 🤣

Not the biggest fan of episode 6.
The resolution and the change of heart of the parents was ridiculous 🤣 It would make much more sense if they tried to avoid taking responsibility, but the kid went against them and gave a statement as a witness.
They were doing a good job keeping the balance between realism and positive hopeful note, but this was a full on Disney stuff.

Here's the thing - if I started to have feelings for a 17 years old child, I would freak out too.

I am sure Dr. Yang has his story of why he is there, but he is the one that should be leaving if he cannot accept that. < from how they presented it, he has the final say about whenever the genie project can work or not. It's not their place. No volunteering team ever will have more say in how any medical related place in run over medical stuff. So the idea that he should be leaving is ridiculous. I like his character, because he is the only one presenting even remotely different perspective, that for me is just as valid (+ this one nurse that talked with Seo Yeon Joo).

I even forgot the fact they tried to go with that "moving out so I can pay for the mirror" plot. But the romance is overall going in a more unexpected way. I appreciate how it's not "enemies" to lovers, but she is understanding from the start.

It's both - case by case with each patient, but the cases will be the building blocks for the overall development of the characters, their relationships etc. While we will be also getting a bit of information here and there about the characters backgrounds.

too many things in pt 2 came out of nowhere I was just rolling my eyes. And I really enjoyed pt 1. But the differences between the two were too big and the transition was not smooth enough...

ML from the start was not cold. A bit distant, childish - yes. But her was "soft" from day one.

I really do not like how they emotionally manipulate Dr. Yang into not stopping them. Dude is just doing his job. If him doing his job well goes against your volunteering work, leave the hospital and do it elsewhere. And the other nurse has a point. They are extremely loud and vocal about granting last wishes in the hospital, it's a constant reminder to everyone they will die soon. Even the patients that are still in the process of dealing with it, and do not want to participate in their little volunteering.

Things like that kills any emotional impact I feel. When they do the musical scene the finale and everyone sings well... all the random volunteers know how to hold a note well. My brain goes - ah yes, this just Disney shit... And I stop feeling moved 🤣

God bless this show for realistic reaction to accidental kiss. Everyone just giggled, went like "oops" and "this was cute" and no big over reaction etc.

I think it tells a lot about the person, how the perceive life when faced with a lot of death. Will they started to see it as meaningless thing, since we all gonna die anyway. Or will they cherish each day even more, because we can't live forever.

Dr. Yang obviously does not like Gyeo Re, we know. But dude also has some good points. While I don't think overall the dog is that much of an issue, it for sure not be allowed to run wherever he wants, even for its own good. Like the emergency situation - it might get hurt. And Gyeo Re should learn some basic first aid stuff, even if it's just volunteering so he won't go back to jail, that is the basic thing he can contribute with. He himself literally 30 seconds earlier said there is not much time left, but he barely did anything.
That said, this whole bullshit rivalry because of Yeon Joo is annoying.

I have to say, I like Dr. Yang the most. Everyone is a bit too nice and perfect for me. He seems the most refreshing 😅
