I must say tho, I am 100% ot4 girl, and I rather have Elle gone than back with the team. Each time shit got bad she left. It happened with 2 teams. No guarantee she won't do it again when a new better opportunity shows up.
Also, love Yoon Se Yul too. He is mean, but in such a funny way. And his interactions with Hyun Ji and gold.
It's a truly great enemies to lovers type of deal 🤣
There is nothing more satisfying than how close to tears Jae Hyuk is from anger and frustration after every chat he has with Je Na 🤣 Nothing better than seeing him feeling guilty after his actions made him feel like trash later on 🤣
Sorry for baby idol, but he barely exists on screen.

Anyway, the problem is not just the actors age, but also how old and mature they look. And he looks like a kid.
Baby idol is cute, but... he is a baby. Next to Hani he feels miscast, because he looks like her teenage younger brother.
Ad even putting aside how the characters are written, I believe Hani and Shi Yang simply have better on screen chemistry.
I am honestly convinced they simply did not have enough content written for that many that long episodes. This should have been a short 8 episode 20 minutes long each, and just based on that it would be so much better, coz they would speed it up a bit and removed all the slow unnecessary elements.
So if Je Na was not trying so hard to convince them to take that last chance and work hard, it would not hit her hard. But she was convinced, she saw the hope in Je Na, but then reality slapped her in the face.
So while that reaction was hypocritical, it made perfect sense taking into consideration the situation. Especially since she did not know Je Na said: either we all survive, or we all die.
+ from the start they had different takes on it. Elle did not hide her gigs and what she was doing. She from the start was saying this is a sinking ship. While Je Na was trying to convince them all to stay and work hard together. So hearing she might survive herself while they will all be dumped felt like betrayal. Realistically speaking, Je Na should have told all of them the true, as they have the right to know what might be their future, so they can prepare.
Also, the "pandemic" excuse is a bit meh, coz restaurants were not the only businesses affected by covid. So even if they wanted to help business owners, they still could have picked for a bigger range of topics.
