Review Don't Say No
Can i ask if you ever read all mame novel? I think you are not, cause so many mame novel dont have rape concept…
That was mistake on me with not being clear enough, should have written all adapted novels, and sexual assault, not rape. Will correct that in the review after I get back from work today.

I know this is a fantasy, but the whole premise is ridiculous. No one would think that two competing chefs in…
My thoughts exactly. I would get my ass out of that restaurant asap if I was Yoon Do Gun and been treated this way.

Yikes. This is a comment that serves no one and nothing. It just adds to the already very loud and divisive noise…

Title My Sweet Dear Spoiler
In my case, it doesn’t bother me if he doesn’t want to do more BL but the fact that he sees BL as a phase.…
You cannot conclude he sees it as just a phase based on that one reply. His reply might mean: it will be last one for now. Or it will be last one overall.

And even if he saw BLs as his starting point, i still see nothing wrong about it. BLs are not some holy genre better than any other. Some actors use normal rom coms as a way to gain popularity and then move to the projects they wanted to do from the start. Some do it with short web dramas - do what they get cast for and when they see opportunity, go for a roles they always wanted to do.

Honestly speaking, if i was a male actor i would not want to do BLs long term too, because of the specific way the fandom behaves. I would not want to be questioned on my sexuality during every live i do and hear from people "i would like you better if you were gay".

People need to chill. He will not make his name big as an actor playing all the time in low budget short BLs. Of course he would want to take other projects too. Not to mention, the more BLs he will be in, the higher chances of him just getting type cast in the future and it sucks as an actor to be seen as "one type of an act".

Review My Name Spoiler
I can totally relate with "Okay, it makes no sense" when the romance was thrown out of nowhere I was totally pissed…
yeah this ending is neither open not concluded. Like... what happened to the gang after the boss was killer? How is she surviving now? How did police close the case? I need some answers hahahaha

There were quite a few plot lines that made little sense for me. With action shows tho, I am a bit more tolerant for these hahaha

I actually really liked him and he was the whole reason her character arc even starts because him persuading her…
That was also more focused on Doo Shim - it was there to lead to her realisation that she actually cares, that she has friends and she is also willing to fight for them 🤣

SAME! I can't see any good plot with 2nd season. It was a one plot type of show, and anything that would follow would feel forced...

that;'s the point - he was there for her, and only for her. He had nothing going on for himself 🤣

Great review! Love the insights into the characterization and how well the production managed with such limited…
I appreciated that it truly had that teen vibe and the characters felt like teenagers. Too many shows go young adults so the whole high school set up just does not feel realistic. Teen dramas are about teens - the cringe is part of it, and it means the drama was not a writing failure 🤣

"He is the perfect partner for our FL, always there to support her but never overshadowing her." that's the thing... I felt like he was not a partner hahaha not the same level of care was given when writing her (real good stuff) and him (there to just support her). I am done with this happening to FLs in dramas, and I don't want to see this happening to MLs now 🤣

I actually liked how fast the romance started. If they were older characters it would be out of place and unrealistic, but with teen romance - shit happens in real life too.

Totally agree about the villain. The evil stuff he did were not "explained" well with his weak motivation.

For a small production like that, I was quite surprised the special effects were this good. Saw worse in a big $$$ dramas. Were they a bit Disney cartoonish? Sure, but that's overall the vibe the drama gave.

Honestly speaking, this show if for sure made to be binge watched. The plot is quite simple, so it sells better as a one time longer entertainment, than 20 minutes per week type of deal 🤣

Another well written review. I started looking for your other reviews after reading your take on Sweet Home..haha.I…
oh damn, some of my reviews are questionable in quality lol

Ji Jin Hee truly aced the role here. He is extremely talented actor. Even tho I don't like all of his dramas, I for sure enjoy all of his performances.

Title Peach of Time Spoiler
They like unnecessary and ridiculous love triangle that's why. Something like this is not their cup of tea...
response to the previous reply:
I said what I said. You named the lack love triangle as a reason people dislike Peach, when if you scroll down the comments, no one named it as a reason. You have a lot of comment naming all the reasons why they did not quite like Peach, and yet in your comment you name the one no one mentioned ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

conclusion - your initial comment has little to do with the reality.

As for the overrated. As I said, 2gether is overrated coz it was the first BL for many people. When you just get into BLs, everything seems like a fresh, new, amazing toy. Same goes for dramas overall. This is why many k-drama basic rom-coms have high ratings - they were first dramas for many people, they had nothing to compare them with, hence they thought it's the best thing on the plant. Most people who saw more BLs judged 2gether for what it was - cute rom-com with pretty faces, nothing impressive.

All older shows have lower ratings coz less people saw them. Same goes for iconic older kdramas etc. You need to take into consideration the time it aired.

While Bright gain A LOT of popularity with 2gether and became a start, he was also no a new face in Thailand overall. It did help 2gether gains some attraction at first.

Popularity means nothing, if people dislike the show. Your argument is - people dislike Peach coz it had no love triangle, and you named My Engineer as an example in another reply. But people did not really like My Engineer either. So giving it as an example made no sense.

The point is, when you go down the comment section, you have a lot of people clearly stating what exactly they disliked about Peach of Time. And yet, you named not one of these reasons in your comment, concluding people dislike it coz it had no love triangle ¯\_(ツ)_/¯.

So how about listening to reasons people give, instead of ignoring them and coming up with your own theories on why some might have disliked it.

Title Peach of Time Spoiler
They like unnecessary and ridiculous love triangle that's why. Something like this is not their cup of tea...
2gether had no real love triangle in season 1, My Engineer had no love triangle, just side couples. So no, love triangles have nothing to do with it. 2gether was popular coz it was one of the first BLs for many people. + Bright already had a fanbase. The production quality was also higher compared to BLs before it. The story was extremely simple so it could reach wider audience. My Engineer ain't even that popular and has rather low rating for BLs on mdl - top reviews are 5 and 7. So naming it as an example of successful BL is a bit much.

I did not see one comment saying they would want to see love triangle in THIS show. Most people who have complaints about it, do not mention the ending too. So your views on why people dislike it are unsubstantiated.

People mention how Jimmy's acting was not on pair with co-stars, how the ghost aspect was a mess and how we as viewers had to literally force ourselves to ignore logic with how Yoon Oh was levitating things around people, or how Peach was flirting with air in a busy area, and no one reacted to it. People complained how, even tho one of the best parts of the show, the relationship between Yoon Oh and his mother could be better build and explained. How there were many side stories for side characters that were unnecessary, and wasted time that could be used for the main couple (the rival coffee place and the boss, mom's scene at work). How Mario's story had no real ending.

The point is, there are valid reasons for people to not love this show, so saying they dislike it coz it got no love triangle is a bit ridiculous.

Nah, some people just like when writers and directors pay attention to details and their world building more, and instead of adding side story for each character in the short show, truly explore the main story ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

No need to generalize everyone who was not in love with the show just based on your unsubstantiated view on them.
