Yeah I don't mean drama with the actress as the main, I mean La Ri Ma as the character being the main :)

So when can we get a spin off with La Ri Ma as the main character?

I did not say she is rude brat all the time. But she is at times. Her not being able to deal with her own emotions is not an excuse. Jealousy is not an excuse. It can be explanation, but not all people who are confused and figuring themselves out act like her. I dislike how she deals.

And she does show it clearly. As people pointed out. Her outbursts of jealousy are exactly what led people to believe she might like Sol. So saying she does not show it is just incorrect.

Basically her lack of maturity in terms of her emotions anf lack of emotional control is what i dislike about her. And i have the right to dislike her.

I like their interactions but i think Ji Wan is a bit too controlling and needs to figure out who she is outside of her relationship with Sol.
Assuming she is in fact either gay or bi, she is only figuring out her sexuality but i don't see it as an excuse to at times act like a rude brat...

From what i saw in the comment section majority (but not all) negative comments are not hate comments but rather a valid criticisms.
Comment section is there for people to write all types of opinions, not just good ones. If someone knows they are easily influenced by reading negative comments, maybe it's on them to not read said comments, and not on the others to not write them.

For me i just dislike how much focus is placed on the romance. I much rather see more of a friendship deal, development of the characters outside of the romance, struggles of youth etc. But it's mostly romance, rather typical one so i simply get bored...

Here is the thing.. I would love to see this happen for the representation but i also dislike Ji Wan quite a bit and think Sol deserves a better girl 🤣

but honestly, even outside of Soo Hyun's deal, the whole drama has a completely different focus compared to the webtoon. Why not make an adaptation of all the countless straight romance focused webtoon instead of making 180 out of the one who does not have whatever the production team was looking for?

Don't make an adaptation of a webtoon that is not a rom-com, of you want to make a rom-com drama.
Don't make an adaptation of a webtoon that is not romance focused, if you want a drama that is romance focused.
Don't make an adaptation of a webtoon with gay characters, if you don't want to have gay characters in your drama.

There are so many webtoons, that would fit whatever youth romance and building friendship vision the producers and director had, why pick a webtoon that is not that, just to complately change it? 🤣

Soo Hyun being straight just really pisses me off. I get that Korea is more conservative, but to be respectful to the source material, they could at least not give him any romance and not address his sexuality at all.

For me stepping out of my comfort zone if basically my 2nd chance project. Shit i dropped at some point getting back to watch list can be miss or hit, but it's a fun way to refresh my memory and see if my watching habits changed 🤣

I get it, but I don't trust KBS to keep it as it was in webtoon. They already made So Bin main characer over Soo Hyun (and I'm saying over him comapred to in addition to him, coz she does have more screen time than he does). 6 episodes in and his only "contact" with his actual love interest from webtoon was seeing him as he walked out of a room 🤣
I hope they will keep him and two girls as friends, but with KBS you never know.

I have no idea, that's the only Light On series I have seen... Sorry, but I cannot help you with it...

The major difference is that the toxic relationships in kdramas lead to "healing and changing with the power of love" and the main couple ends up in a happy relationship in the end. From what I get from webtoon and how this show is produce, it goes into different direction.

Want to share something I wrote on feeds about this show:

I have to appreciate this show with truly showcasing how easily it is to fall for a "playboy" manipulative person like Jae Eon.

We all be like: I would never. I would run away asap if I met someone like Jae Eon. And you know what? High chances are, you would not. Not only that, in many occasions, it's the people who think they are immune to manipulation fall the victim of it. Coz they just do not allow themselves to think their judgement might be wrong, they don't question their own feelings and decisions.

If you are aware of the fact this can happen to anyone, that you also might be swayed and be weak to manipulation, chances are you will be more careful, you will question both the person but also your own reactions more.

I see all the comments saying how stupid and naive the female lead is and how they would never allow themselves to be in the situation like that. I would recommend getting down from that high horse, coz the more invincible you think you are, the harder it will hit you when you are met with reality 🤣

Anyway, I just started the ep, but this conversation from the show got me to think about it in the first place:

Oh Bit Na: You might not know it, but his every move is calculated.
Na Bi: Well... I sometimes felt like something was off, but it's not like that.
Oh Bit Na: That's how everyone falls for his tricks, or not. Actually, everyone knows. They say they won't get fooled, but they do when he shows an ounce of sincerity. Because they want to believe it.

So you lie to yourself and are blind to the red flags, coz there is no way you might become a victim. It might happen to others but not you. So the weird behaviors are either not that big of a deal, or can be explained in different ways. You don't want to admit you might have been weak for a playboy who want to use you, so you will do your best to explain his behavior to show he is not a playboy. Coz if he is not a playboy, then you did not make a mistake in judgement, you are not naive or stupid. And now you are in a trap. And the longer you stay in it, the harder it is to get out.

Like, Jae Eon knows what's up. He took her clubbing - crowded place, full of drunk strangers, where you can barely rely on your senses and there is no place of peace where you can just chill and have a moment to collect your thoughts. She will be drawn to him more, to rely on him, since he is the familiarity in the chaotic place. Damn. He took her to a place that will make her anxious, nervous, maybe irritated and then probably offer himself as a comfort, and she will not say no lol

Also, perfect example where you can see he is not just a playboy but truly toxic: when he saw her uncomfortable, standing in the middle of the dance floor covering her ears he literally smiled. No emotionally mature person would smile at the thought of their dating feeling uncomfortable in the date.

I'm here just to see an immature person whine about people not having the same sentiment about piece of fiction as they do 🙃
