damn i was scared the silly idol would be back after the warrior passed out lol
fuck... i was hoping he got healed, but the cancer is still there 🥲
I guess My Dearest just makes me in mood of angsty shit 24/7, but I don't want this drama to go light comedy. I want it to be angsty, it's a perfect set up 😭😭😭😭
Okay so... directing wise, I think like they should have start from her killing him in the forest and not show anything else from the past. I dislike how they showed all the important moments that happened, and now they will just bring back the longer versions of them. I feel like uncovering them one by one would be more satisfying viewing experience.
THE PAST STORY IS SUCH A GOOD TENSE ANGSTY ROMANCE I NEED IT!
omg i feel so bad for the manager. that bitch gonna gaslight the shit out of him 😂 He is basically taken hostage hahaha
ooooofffff..... the not matching lip movement with dubbed scenes 🤡
I don't know... There are scenes i am obsessed with, and some that I just strongly want to skip coz they don't grab my attention. Overall, I am for sure more interested in their past story 🙂
+ DAMN HE LOOKED HOY SITTING NEXT TO THAT PIANO! 🔥🔥🔥
I love bloody beginnings! Thank you. Also, how big was the budget that they were able to film a decent looking bigger size fighting scene like that? Also, damn they be showing impaled heads... oof. With this beginning... it's going to be hard to ship the main couple. But I also have no idea what's the plot coz I did not read the synopsis, so who knows.
wait... what is going on? These short scenes of her trying to kill him actually happened... and now he dead? fuck this pacing is too fast for my brain, it took like 1 minute to tell whole of a drama story hahaha Also, this is NOT a spoiler, I'm 8 minutes in episode 1. It's barely a set up, but damn...
Omg this was such a confusing opening sequence of scenes. Coz that what it was, not an opening scene, just a sequences of many scenes showing many moments... and while I can kind of understand vaguely what's up. It's HELLA FUCKING VAGUE LOL
Well, I already love FL, doing chest compressions to save the dog 👍🏻
Soon Kim Young Dae will be knows as the actor who plays actors 😂
damn... here;s the thing. you cannot open with intense and interesting past story with blood, gore, death, angst, revenge... to then move to a fluffy silly modern times rom-com... 🤡 You cannot show me a badass male lead with awesome fighting skills all covered in blood, to then switch to him being a complete wimp in present times 🙃Give me a full length drama based on the past. right now. it looked so awesome 🥲🥲
Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaait... is the ghost of the badass male lead going to possess the wimp present time male lead's body? Coz I'm all in for that hahaha
the more scenes from the past events they show, the more I want to watch THAT DRAMA! Give me that historical one right now!
OMG HE DID GET INTO THE BODY OF THE WEAK ASS IDOL! NOW I AM ON BOARD! LOL
I can kind of sense where the plot will go. I'm just praying the focus will be on the badass and not the wimp version of male lead. I need it. I can sense how good the romance will be if they go that way. And judging on which name is listed first next to the actor, it will be the case 😍
I'm not sure how I feel about the opening sequence tho (I don't mean the intro, that was BEAUTIFUL), but the first few scenes that set up the plot and the context for the historical part - it was soooo.... chaotic. I get that they don't want to reveal all the story, but damn they either showed too much or too little. Coz you can get the idea of what happened so there is no true anticipation and questions left, but at the same time, they skipped through all the scenes and important moments in a matter of like 1 minute - it's like getting a whole picture, but drawn in a shitty way 😂
For a more chaotic reaction as I watch the episode - check comment below 🤡🤡🤡
Eun Woo with hair up > Eun Woo with hair done > Eun Woo with hair done to the side
Why does she have the best chemistry with the student 🤡🙃💀
So after this episode, I am starting to worry even 14 episodes is too much, with how the pacing goes right now. I honestly think that with plot as silly as this, the drama should be more dynamic in presentation, but in episode 4 I feel like maybe 30 minutes were of a true value. Sure, the interactions between the mains are adorable, but I feel like there are not enough of these. Also, for sure not enough Lee Bo Gyeom. I feel like his presence should be felt and obvious, but instead we just get reminded he exists every now and then...
-Well bitch, put up with it, they will get bored eventually
What a fucking great educator omg 🤡 homophobic bitch....
"I find people like Ms. Yada more disgusting" YAS DAN! First schooling the bully about leopards, and now calling homophobes disgusting!
Ana for sure gay. But he has a lot of internalized homophobia and he vents his anger on Nai.
Proud of Nai too, for calling bullshit out for the first time, asking what's wrong with being gay.
I'm quite impressed with it so far. They are doing amazing job with keeping the balance between the supernatural mystery and the exploration of the characters' personal stories and backgrounds. Giving right amount of the information at the right time. The way they are building up the story gets me curious - what is the connection between the shadows? What are the shadows truly? But at the same time, I am anticipating the character development from Nai and the forming friendship (and maybe even more) between him and Dan. What's more? The show is visually BEAUTIFUL!
These 3 bullies look so weak even I would not be scared lol I am sorry, but they look like a joke. But sure, let's say they are intimidating 🙃 i can already feel the mental gymnastics I'll have to do watching this...
THERE IS NO FUCKING HIERARCHY WITH LEOPARDS YOU DUMB BITCH, THEY ARE SOLITARY ANIMALS😂😂😂
It feels as if I'm watching darker supernatural version of SOTUS lol Singto yet again playing the hero against the bullies.
YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAS! OMG JHSHDGFDSFHDS WHEN SINGTO SAID LEOPARDS USUALLY STAY IN SOLITUDE OMG YES MY BRILLIANT CHILD! 😂😂😂😂😂
Dan falling asleep on the second sentence the teacher says - MOOD!
Bish... you said you saw the shadow since you were a kid... so, just with that, it cannot be the teen who disappeared. Unless all spirits show are shadows, but we also know it's not true, because the dude standing behind you two of you in the room was for sure not just a shadow like figure.
Okay, now a proper thoughts on first episode:
Solid introduction to the supernatural elements and the mystery. I am genuinely curious what the shadow is and what it wants. I think they did a good job with setting up the tone - heavy, but not too heavy, good breaks with some background characters that act like teens with their silly behaviors. What's more, I like the hints of the social commentary that might happen. Obviously, they will dive into some "good old" homophobia, but with how utopian a lot of Thai BLs are, this is actually refreshing and needed.
still long, nothing changes lol
I assume now the plot will be Jang Hyun trying to send Gil Chae back, and her refusing to leave.
I love them so much. How they are joking about the silly past - it's both so cute and yet so tragic. How Gil Chae had to mature so much in such a quick period because of all the hardships. But honestly, Jang Hyun also changed and matured a lot - being more honest about his feelings, more sincere, more straightforward.
Not gonna lie, the whole convenient way out of the moral issue of her leaving her husband by making him abandon her first... it's convenient, but I also do not mind. The Officer was written in the fashion that it makes sense he would abandon her, so it's not out of character behavior just to solve an issue, but at the same time his whole existence was there just to be that moral issue... and now the issue is solved... the the source of the issue itself 🤣 still, I just need Jang Hyun and Gil Chae happy, so whatever, I buy it.
I feel like only now Jang Hyun truly starts to understand at least a bit Gil Chae's situation and reasoning she had for marrying the officer. How now he said that she has husband, father and siblings - that she was never as free as he is to leave, and she has more things to consider when making decisions. While the decisions she makes still hurt him, I feel like he understands them more now.
YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAS THEM MUSCLES! Also, this scene is literally the reason NGM lost weight lol To have more defined muscles for that scene. We were all deep how the was depressed and lost weight coz he missed Gil Chae, but the realistic reason is the actor had a shirtless scene hahaha
I am curious if Jang Hyun gets it's not about her not loving him, but not allowing herself to act on the love she has. Because it's a big difference.
WHOLE ASS MAKE OUT SESSIONS IS SOME DRAMAS HAS LESS 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 THAN THIS CHEEK KISS!
Another situation where no matter what the prince would do, the king would be like: "sus". That's the thing with paranoid assholes - any choice will be the wrong choice. Prince can go to Joseon? sus. He is too close with new king. Prince does not go to Joseon? Sus, he wants to stay in Qing and is too close with new king. < legit for sure that would happen.
The princess is a typical clueless bitch tbh. Coz she likes Jang Hyun, so she wants him to love her back. BUT she is not confident and competent enough to actually make him fall for her, so her tries to just force him to be with her, possess him, but she is also not self-aware enough to know it would not make her happy at the end at all. Girl needs some time to work on herself...
So pain... but also, Jang Hyun is doing what Gil Chae did to him in the past. Saying something cruel to make her leave with no regrets and hesitation, exactly how Gil Chae wrote the letter saying she does not love him enough, because that was the way of him leaving with no regret (which he told her himself, but also we as viewers know was bullshit lol). THIS WHOLE SCENE IS LIES AND PAIN, BUT IT MAKES SO MUCH SENSE, BUT I STILL HATE IT HERE 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
fuck.... that one obstacle she was able to let go and rationalize, that even tho she is married, she can stay because she owns it to Jang Hyun and her own husband abandoned her - and now Jang Hyun invalidated both - she does not won him because they are nothing to each other, and she is married she should have some shame about staying here with him. fuck... being married and a wife are obviously big deals for Gil Chae and the only way she was able to stay was to find objective reasons why it was fine, and now Jang Hyun took it away from her.
Honestly... I kind of wish for Jong Jong to stay. I want them to be sisters and loyal to each other, but I also want Jong Jong to think about herself. I want them to feel more equal - Jong Jong's relations and feelings are just as important as Gil Chae's. The idea that it's obvious she will leave coz Gil Chae is leaving... I want them to have at least a chat about it.
THIS PAIN IUS SO GOOD OMG THE TALKING THEOUGH THGE DOOR SCENE! ALSO THE WAY HE TELLS HER TO FORGET ALL THE SUFFERING IN SIMYANG WHEN SHE JUST TOLD THE PRINCESS THAT THE TIME SHE SPENT WITH THEM AND FARMING IN SIMYANG WAS THE HAPPIEST TIME IN HER LIFE! 😭😭 I LOVE THIS PAIN!
I still believe Jang Hyun does not fully understand Gil Chae. I know that him saying she should live flashy and glamorous life, the one that fits her, was just him saying he wants her to be carefree and happy again, but damn, episode 2 of pt1 she already told him that she wants a steady and calm normal life with a person she loves, the opposite of what he wishes her 🥲🥲 ma dude, she obviously would not mind doing the work, and living day by day a mundane life, as long as she is with the person she loves.
BITCH OPEN THEM DOORS OR YOU GONNA REGRET IT FOR FUCKING EVER!
i am soooooooooo curios how the official bitch gonna react to Gil Chae coming back.
this whole show, literally since episode one just makes me scream: WOMEN 😍😍😍😍
WHAT A TRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAASH LOL HE GOT HIMSELF A NEW WOMAN OMG SJHGFHJDSGFDSKGKDJFG I HATE THAT DUDE. legit, anyone still wants to defend him? 🤡🤡🤡🤡
AND HE EVEN GOT THE BITCH PREGNANT OMG KDSGFDJKGFEJKSDFHJLFHELD FUUUUUUUUUUUUUCK HAHAHAHAHA OMG HSGDJKSDDFGSDJFDS YOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
GIL CHEA YES! THE WAY SHE SPALLED THE DUDE BEFORE HE COULD SLAP JONG JONG! I am sorry, but literally NO FEMALE LEAD EVER WILL BE BETTER THAN GIL CHAE SHE IS THE QUEEN!

yo... the fact that it's important to know is she was raped not to know how much she suffered, but to know is she is worth associating with... 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬 the idea that death is better than being criticized by worthless trash. god. the mentality people had back in the days (and some psycho still have now) is just tragic.
not watching the preview. i enjoy the pain as it happens, but do not want to know the shit i need to go through next week 🤡
2nd conversation was Gil Chae thinking he was waiting for her, when he was not. Literally just that. Him saying he was not waiting for her and her being delulu thinking he was.
3rd conversation Gil Chae went to him to convince him to help her understand Hanyang men. It was more of a business transaction than chat. followed by all Hanyang scene - where the teasing slightly started.
All the beginning interaction had no sincerity because they did not know each other. These were just random interactions.
After that it was full on teasing or even lines that show he is not interested in her. Like when he laughed on the boat saying he is not affected by her, because he met a lot of women and he is not like the naive scholars.
The first interaction they had that had truly any romantic intention was after he caught her trying to kiss Yeon Jun, and it was 100% teasing and suggesting they should be basically friends with benefits ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ The "come to me" would sound romantic if he meant being in a relationship with idea of getting married, but that's not what he meant. He meant having some fun together.
so you either are watching a different show, or you don't quite remember how the scenes went in pt 1.
long as fuck, as it usually goes with "live" reactions 🙃
