I'm unsure if anyone has ever pointed it out, but both Rio and the trailer itself uses the english term for boyfriend ボーイフレンド instead of 彼氏/彼 and that seems like an interesting choice to me. If it was only Rio using an english loanword as slang, I'd get it, but it also being in the trailer gives me more the feeling of "boy friend," as in a friend that's a boy. Idk, it could very well mean nothing.

Same here. You can access it with a VPN if you have that. Using a VPN with iQIYI can be a bit finicky, but I think it should also be available on Viu which is a bit easier to access with a VPN.

And that's okay! Please never feel bad for being unable to monetarily support any media. Just remember that those kinds of websites are best promoted privately, and you should prioritize official platforms when promoting it online (even if you yourself can't use those services😉) As I said in another comment: it's just basic etiquette.
