No but seriously, how hard can it be to schedule a premiere? How do they consistently keep messing it up? It's…
I have a theory that they have different interns handling the premieres of different series bc some are clearly more competent than others and I hope whoever is consistently messing up their premieres are not on their payroll.
Let me give you a list of some of the different ways I've seen them mess up: - the last 2-3 parts having overlapping premieres - scheduled premieres not visible - one or more parts have a late upload - premieres crashing mid-part and then it's suddenly just available as a full video - foregoing the entire premiere altogether and just uploading a part as a regular video - skipping an entire part - one part has no eng subs
With how GMMTV have been moving lately I can't tell if they just messed up the YouTube premiere again or if it…

Produced in Thailand I guess? You see it sometimes for Chinese BLs. I think it's like a loophole to avoid gettig…
They didn't do that with Secrets Happened on the Litchi Island, though? Maybe Gaga listed it wrong (happens) and whoever made the MDL page, copied the information from there? I don't know.

Yes, I took a quick look through the end credits earlier, and realized the same. Isn't this also basically self-produced? Then it makes even less sense why both MDL and Gaga have the country listed as Thailand.
umm i haven't started it yet but why is it written thai drama on here when it's chinese?
Produced in Thailand I guess? You see it sometimes for Chinese BLs. I think it's like a loophole to avoid gettig struck down by the Chinese government or something. Someone please correct me if I'm wrong.
Regarding the title sequence: they literally have a disclaimer that says "Some scenes in this video were generated…
I remember FC Soldout! You're right, that was a whole mess. Viki subs are mostly community driven, and the subs are good for the most part, but considering they are made by the community, there are unfortunately some subs that don't quite hit the mark.

Oh, yes I have seen people talking about those Lost To You subs! I'm unsure exactly what Gaga's procedure with acquiring subs is like, but those in particular give me fansub vibes, and I think I recall even seeing some screenshots of certain Gaga subs being accredited to some fansubbers.
Thanks for the heads up about A Winter Sun, btw! I'll make sure to check it out on YouTube instead. I wasn't even aware it was there because last I checked, there was no link on the MDL page.
Edit: Nah, these AI subs are awful. At least the Gaga subs for A Winter Sun are human made, though they can absolutely be improved!

Are you talking about A Winter Sun Wakes the Wind in Spring Hill's Dream? Because that one I can kinda get, but I also kind of like them just summarizing instead of covering the screen with direct translations. Gaga subs are kind of limited because it seems they are strictly .srt, so it's not like they can change the placement of the subs on the screen (which I have seen them do a few times on iQIYI.) Also, the other Gaga series you're talking about reminds me of War of Y, but it wouldn't surprise me if there were more of them. Maybe iQIYI mostly has an issue translating on-screen text for Thai titles specifically? Because I find myself constantly having to pull out a translator app myself just to get a general idea of what the on-screen text says. There is also a currently airing Thai series where there is one character that speaks Korean in like the first episode, and that also wasn't translated for some reason.
episodes 1-2• Pretty sure the title sequence is AI 🤢 but it still kinda eats 😲• A crazy woman• Clothes…
Regarding the title sequence: they literally have a disclaimer that says "Some scenes in this video were generated using AI," (according to the Gaga subs anyway) and there are also some AI related titles in the end credits. They absolutely use AI, but at least they seem pretty transparent about it (which is more than I can say for some other series out there.)
Edit: I just checked the iQIYI version and they removed the AI disclaimer as well as the end credits? Anyway, it's all there in the Gaga version, so...
Ya’ll do realize this is enemies to friends trope (not explicitly) in a psychological thriller, right? This…
Thank you for acknowledging QPRs! Not everyone are familiar with the term, but I do wish they would lean more into and embrace the queerness for this kind of relationship and explicitly name it as such while also saying it's non-romantic. QPRs can really be anything so long as it deviates from the norm of what one considers friendships or romantic relationships to be, which by definition would make it queer. Calling it "deep friendship" is not exactly right, because it's more than that, but also not romantic.
Edit: Important to note that QPRs aren't exclusive to a-spec people even though that's where it originated.
I’m sorry but do you even know what queer baiting actually is bc neither of those two are that.
Oh for sure! And I absolutely see other problems arising from that as well, especially regarding pink money and fans complaining about how it "isn't queer enough." But I do wish that queerplatonic was a more commonly acknowledged term because I think that would actually make this good rep for us in the queer community who are often overlooked. Now it just feels like some weird kind of appropriation to me, but that's just a personal opinion.

I just mean they have to be explicit about how it is a queer series despite not being romance. That's really it. Like I said, a QPR can really be anything that deviates from what one would normally consider a friendship and romantic relationship to be. It really is up to each individual couple. It's very open in that way.
