Are u talking about the one in their kitchen ? Where she's holding his hand to her chest ?
Douyin is the chinese version of tiktok :)) Cdramas will often use douyin and weibo (sometimes xiaohongshu) as their main platforms for promotion. Weibo is the main site, where you'll see updates for everything. Douyin - they will often post some 'spoiler' clips of the episodes to be released that day, around 2 hours ahead of the release time. Otherwise, they'll also post some random edit-clips or major spoiler scenes that will come later on in the drama, in order to hook people into watching. Cdramas tend to hold livestreams with the cast as well, across these two platforms - whether it be all the actors being present in the same room or a conjoined live between them, depending on each of the actors' schedules, eg: ZJY has been in and out of cities (at least 4 flights so far) this whole week as she is promoting Love For You but also currently filming another drama, and SWL also has another drama of his airing at the same time, so it some scheduling may be conflicting.
Just wanted to share some analysis from posts online about some props used in the drama. Can I just say: I am loving the way the director and team are portraying certain themes and ideas through their use of camera shots and angles and props? As someone who likes to study film, it fascinates me so much!!!!
1. About the thermometer breaking and the mercury in it spilling out, I saw someone bring this into context and it fascinated me on just how detailed the director and team are into bringing these small little details on screen for metaphoric symbolism:
They're watching mercury bubbles inside bottle of water when Miaojing asked "what to do when something that's broken can never be put back together?", referring to: η ΄ιιε (describe lovers reuniting after being separated). Instead of asking whether broken love can be mended, she asks what happens if it can't. Chenyi simply said "at least, it's beautiful". It's like saying, "What if we can never fix what's between us?" "Then I'll treasure what we had anyway."
2. The candy/lollipops Noticed how this man stop smoking ever since Miao Jing came back? He switched to lollipops. I assume the lollipops stand for cigarettes, if that's the case he's started to smoke a lot since Miao Jing arrived lmao she's got him so stressed out.
Because Miao Jing doesn't like cigarettes, anything the she doesn't like, Chenyi will try not to do, so he has to eat candy instead. Ever since they argued about cigarettes, he's never touched them again: he's scared that if he does, she will follow (I see reverse psychology there π€). And it's like noticing that this scene comes up so often: in the past when he was super stressed he'd get hooked on cigarettes, taking breaks to smoke. So endearing, this detail.
From SWL himself: Candy. The candy actually appeared after Chenyi was hurt by his father. Miaojing gave it to him then and it became something that run throughout the entire story. You might notice that Chenyi often takes out a candy. When he felt anxious, or when it became habitual thing, he would take out a candy because it gave him a sense of comfort and security.

The thing with cdramas and douyin - they tend to spoil quite a bit before the drama even airs π. Hence why this post blew up across the platform and across chinese social media. It just makes you want to see the whole episode so much!!!
where are you watching??? I'm watching on mango and it's on ep 13 wdym ep 15
I would say that mangotv's subs are the worst. I've never tried viki but apparently it's better, and with ep 15 on kisskh, apparently it's also dodgy - though I think it's cause they just decided to adopt the mango subtitle this ep because there are also swear words that were never said
Can someone explain - editing feels too rough - esp the one after a fire. Did they have to cut more filmed material…
I saw someone suggest how it's as if we're living through the perspective of miaojing: everything happened so fast that she wasn't mentally able to process it all. From being happy, then seeing her exam results, to then the fire and leaving. For me, I think editing is done in a way that's as abrupt as the way miaojing envisioned everything. So, as all the secrets start to reveal, we're finding out along with her :)) If they can execute it well, then I have no problem with these quick cuts. I'm kinda glad they didn't linger onto it for too long, though I'm excited to see how they'll weave in the flashbacks
So far, we've had 2 scenes that I know which have been cut out: the hug that they exchange after chenyi attends miaojing's 'bracelet' ceremony late, and him piercing her ears after gifting her those earrings (which was originally in the novel too, so this was just so sad that they cut it out)
Does anyone know where we can watch the replay of their previous douyin live on July 9th and the Mangotv Chatroom live from yesterday? Or if there has been anyone online that's been able to save them and upload them? At the moment, only their Weibo live has been officially saved and published on their weibo account. I'm just so deprived waiting for episodes lol

I think they're talking about the one where he tells her that his life is a mess and she dares him to kiss her - over a million likes on their official douyin https://v.douyin.com/LAggAqEPhWc/
Can Netflix come and pick this drama up or something? I've avoided using mangotv international for so long due to its really poor subtitles and management and only bought the membership for this drama, but it's so bad!!! Get it on a more international/well-known platform and you'll see LFY soar across the charts everywhere, I'm not lying π
so why did she come back she seems to be doing something way more than just for the ML
Haven't yet read the novel, but I'm pretty sure she has an intention to come back - probably something to help chenyi, but I'm not sure yet. I hope we can get some background info soon tho
I've got weibo, xiaohongshu, and douyin and believe me: It's making SO MUCH heat π₯!! As far as I know, the…
Oh yeah international-wise, I feel like they should try promote it more. Given that we have ZJY and SWL, it should be much more exposed to the international market (especially after the success of their own respective past-projects). Tiktok edits will probably be the only way for proper movement as they tend to grasp more viewers.
My feed is filled with them, but then again, I do want to see more appreciation from the international market too because it's just such a good drama!! And it's so well directed so far and many people would really love it, but I guess it just takes more exposure in order for the drama to earn more praise and popularity. Surprises me how many people still had no idea about this drama too

Also can I just say: This drama REALLY knows how to do rain scenes. I've never seen such beautiful rain scenes been portrayed π
