I know, that's frustrating! I've wanted to watch Indigo no Yoru for forever. At least someone started subbing that one. Hmm, romcoms from 2010? Since you've already seen Personal Taste and Hotaru no Hikari, the only ones I've seen are Yankee-kun to Megane-chan (it's kind of popular, it was ok) and Massugu na Otoko (it was ok, I watched it because I like Kanjiya Shihori). Did you find something good yet?

Yes, I've been studying about 5 years too. N2, good luck! I think I'm somewhere between the 2 and 3 levels, my kanji is not good enough yet so it's more like a study goal. Is drama why you started studying, or a later side effect?

Thanks! It should be fixed this week but I'm stealing my sister's ;) I can read hangul now, but yes very slowly...it feels like kindergarten all over again xD
Oh, thank you so much!! That looks like a very helpful guide :) You are right, I usually forget to check the forums since there are no reminders >.< And sorry for responding so late, my computer broke so I'm not on the internet very often this week. Other than that I'm pretty good, looking forward to finishing my last class tomorrow and going home on Monday for summer break :) How are you?

Sure! And sorry for a late reply, I've been having computer issues this week. But it's nice to meet you too! How long have you been studying Japanese?

I'm pretty good! Sorry for a late reply, my computer broke this week so I haven't been on the internet extensively (that's the not so good part), but I finish my last college class this weekend so I get to go home soon. How are you?

Actually, we did have a couple classes that were 7th grade. There were a couple trouble makers, but being the last week of school and all, and having their schedules completely thrown off due to testing, they were being rather worse than usual. Adolescent hormones in very closed social settings are interesting things!
I hope you're enjoying the vacation quite a lot! SF sounds like the coolest place. (And sorry for the late reply! My laptop broke on Monday so I'm not on the internet much lately. Hopefully getting it fixed next week.)

Thank you! Sorry for being so late to reply T.T My computer broke over the weekend and I've had pretty limited internet access too. I don't leave until July, but I should have internet (and a fixed computer!) by then.
Have an AWESOME time in China! Sorry if you don't read this til you get back, but I'm sending all my best wishes your way! Safe travels :)

It is so much fun! My mentor teacher is great and I love sixth grade. I hope I get a middle school class next year. Also, scantron machines are fun things.
It was a camp to study American history and civics. My friend's dad was helping teach it. Ooh! That is quite the itinerary! For an indoor girl, I love hiking and camping. I hope the weather's nice! One of my best friends is from Utah.

Oh, and about jobs, I'm not too sure on the details, but in the Visual Communications field (like graphic design, interior design, designing product packaging and marketing campaigns, web stuff, illustration, typography, etc.) you can make money depending on what exactly you do. Web and business related positions can pay a lot and freelancing is nice too.

It's ok! I didn't have time to reply this weekend, either.
I did have some free time. American universities are not difficult to get into, but you'll fail out in a semester if you play around too much. Japan is kind of the opposite xD I spent a lot of time studying Japanese on my own and I had to study for graduate school entrance exams, but I did get to travel, especially since I spent summer break there.
No, really, I didn't draw since grade school, but then in college I had to take an interdisciplinary seminar and I picked one called "Illuminations", thinking we'd be studying the Book of Kells or something, but no. It was interdisciplinary art and literature, so I /had/ to start drawing and discovered I liked it. And very slowly I'm getting the hang of things I think. But thanks for your encouragement! (And I know exactly what you mean about losing hobbies to drama!)

Sorry for a late reply! The weekend was a little crazy xD
I guess I don't know any specific places I want to visit, other than like The Hague and Amsterdam. You probably know all of the important things not to miss ^_^ Mostly museums and cultural things, I guess. I am a museum nerd. And I think your culture (literature, art, architecture, etc.) is wonderful. I'm enjoying talking with you too :) Anything in particular you want to shop for in the city?

It really was a fun trip! We were going to a summer camp in the mountains in Washington, but we stopping in Yellowstone for a few hours, and went by the Great Salt Lake on the way home. We were also going to stop by Mt. Rushmore, but we didn't have the time. What all states are you going through? (and sorry for the late reply! This weekend was graduation, moved out of my apartment and in with a friend, and started my teaching clinicals at the middle school, but now everything's back to normal!)
I saw Ikemen Desu Ne first, and then months later I was channel surfing and there was some guy being chased by a pig, but it wasn't Ren...I thought it looked so familiar...and then I discovered You're Beautiful!
The Korean version is longer and therefore has more time to add side stories and craziness, and I think they did a better job of packing parody and comedy into it. I usually get bored with even really good Kdramas, but this one kept my attention the whole time.
The Japanese drama had a much, much better ending, and you are very right that most of the characters/character evolutions are better, although I completely agree that Yuuki can't hold a candle to Jeremy! The president and especially the manager were really obnoxious too. Either way, they are both very heartwarming stories.
