Good thought, I shall keep my eyes peeled. I know, lucky, right? Although probably not too many other people wanted the biography of Gerald Ford ><

Ooh, cool! My NC friend also rides. I've tried it before, but not my thing; big animals make me slightly nervous. They are beautiful animals, though. What exactly is equitation?

By gf, do you mean gluten free? I've heard that stuff is tricky to bake with. My cousin recently became allergic to gluten. As far as cakes, I think I'm rather hopeless. My mom's recipes are good when she makes them, but not when I try. Although cake is not my favorite thing ever, so I don't mind too much. Angel food cake is really good though, as well as sponge cake, cheese cake, carrot cake, chiffon cake, date cake, pound cake, pea picking cake, and gooey butter cake. The rest I can totally live without. Do you have a favorite cake to make?

Yeah, this is the first week we haven't had thunderstorms every day. Had some tornados come through two weeks ago. Our house is high up so we don't have to worry too much about flooding til the water goes down, and then it smells like dead fish :P

Yes! I'm very excited for all of the wonderful visits ^_^

I had to look up my bread recipe when I got back after not baking any for a year. Ooh, cakes, huh? Those are hard! I can do pies, but I never seem to have much luck with cakes. They are such a delicate operation.

Indoor badminton is nice compared to my backyard because the ground isn't on a slope, and there's no wind to blow it off course. Benign is a good word for it!

Well, I'm going to teach with the Fulbright program. We have about six weeks of orientation there before they tell us where we've been placed and send us off, so I won't know til September maybe.

My friend came down from where we went to school to visit yesterday :) She could only stay a day, but it was really nice. We drove to where the fields are still a bit flooded and parked halfway down a washed out road and watched the sunset. And my friend from NC who I met in Japan is coming out in another week!

Yeah, I did join like that day, and I already got a giveaway! I'll pm you my name. I did Flying Solo back in highschool, but I haven't read Boy. My library doesn't have a copy :/ I know exactly what you mean! I only read non-textbooks during breaks usually. I have never heard of that series, but it sounds interesting. Do you ride, or just like horses from a distance?

Oh, tamagoyaki is hard >< I can never make it look beautiful. They do use metric. I measure stuff in baking, but not during cooking, so that wasn't a huge problem. More like the ingredients I was used to were not available, and I only had one electric burner and a rice steamer, so I didn't cook the dishes I was used to and got a little rusty.

Well, in Chen's book it's more of the roll your eyes variety. When he was a pre-teen he hung out with some "tough" kids. It's actually pretty funny! I've been meaning to join goodreads for quite some time, thanks for reminding me of it. Ooh, and giveaways? Even better!

Haha! Mosstly I just cook as I go, don't really need a recipe for things I've done before (yes, I'm that lazy), but after the year in Japan, it's so much harder. I didn't cook my normal foods, and all the ingredients and measurements were different. I forgot how to cook!

I guess the sun is part of life, but you can play badminton indoors! Probably badminton birdies hurt worse, cause they kind of sting when you get one smashed in your face, but psychologically I'm not afraid of them, I don't know why.

What books has your uncle sent you recently?

I've read several memoirs by former NYCB dancers. "I Was a Dancer" Jacques d'Ambois is well written, has a lot of variety, and is clean. "Coco Chanel: the Legend and Life" by Justine Picardie is also pretty good. I'm reading a memoir by Da Chen right now; he's a great writer, but there is some cussing and adult content. I should really keep a list or something.

Why oh why is food expensive? *sigh* Cooking is more enjoyable when I'm not stressed, but it can also be stress relieving. Nothing like punching the daylights out of bread dough to release some emotion. I fail at tennis. It's fun, but I have this animalistic instinct to duck whenever the ball (or should I say, "hurtling neon missile") comes near me. I also hate to be out in the sun. Me playing softball was rather amusing and only lasted one season. I somehow suspect you are much more coordinated than you admit ;)

I've gotten to the point where intros are actually harder than conclusions in essay writing, but fiction? Oh dear. I don't do horror either, but almost anything else, as long as it's good. I never thought of that, but that completely makes sense that YA tends to be cleaner! My library just seems to be full of teen romance novels in the YA, so I gave up sifting it and wait til my sister finds something good. (And not to knock every love story ever, but the world is full of some trashy ones, and also some badly written ones; Twilight may be both, but at least the plot was somewhat unique.)

Yeah, Dickens' books are hard to get through, good look with Oliver Twist! That makes sense, HP is for young adults. So what kind of books fit the Mori Kei lifestyle? I am curious ^_^ I mostly like to read biographies and memoirs.
Well, I only have three weeks left of vacation before Korea. So I'm getting paperwork for that together, packing, doing stuff with my family, reading, and two of my friends are coming for a short visit, so I'm excited! How about you?

The first three were meh, and they got better progressively, and ended rather brilliantly. Endings are hard, so I can admire that. And also the sense of humor fit mine rather well. I'm actually not much of a fantasy person, I like realistic stuff and read more nonfiction and biographies than novels. What do you read?

Cooking! I should do more of that. I've been rather lazy in the kitchen recently. Wow, you sound way busier than me! What sports do you like to play? I like to watch sports sometimes, but the only one I really like to play is badminton.

Enjoy HS while it lasts! Sprout looks really cute, but kind of mushy. It's on my list though. Was it good?

I just finished college in May. How about you? No, I haven't watched any T/C dramas, and only a few K dramas; mostly I like Japanese stuff. Reply 1997 is on my list :)

Yes :) Super glue is very important in life.

No, not abducted, sorry. I still don't have my pc back yet, I've been really busy with family stuff, and also have been reading a lot since I've not been on the internet so much. Basically, I've been going to wedding showers and rehearsal dinners and graduations and ballet recitals, filling out paperwork related to Korea, studying Korean, and I just finished my first read through of Harry Potter yesterday. How about you?

Yeah, I know what you mean. For the kanji parts, you just have to recognize them, not write them, I think. My friend told me there are a lot of questions that have very similar multiple choice answers, like they'll give you options between "shouyuu", "shoyuu", "shouyu", etc., so if I can memorize all of the kunyomi and onyomi, that should help a lot.

That is exactly how I started watching drama! Although I think I accidentally started watching something on youtube, and it was in Japanese and somewhat amusing, so I kept watching for practice. As much as I love them, textbooks only get you so far.

Haha, still watching Legal High, it's a comedy. I started it in January and still have a third of it left. I'm done with school now, so hopefully I can knock out the last few eps when my notebook gets fixed. Did you find something worth watching? :)

Sorry my reply is so late again! m(_ _)m
Mainstream clothes, besides having no variety, are also unfortunate because not everyone's body is the same shape :/ It can make shopping so frustrating if the style everyone sells doesn't fit right.
I haven't read any novels from your country really, mostly poetry. But I believe you that the style of 18th century stuff is difficult to slog through. English books can be the same way, like Dickens for one. What English books do you like? I'm just reading Harry Potter for the first time this summer. Good luck on the rest of your exams!

Cool, lava? I want to see that one! That makes sense that the mud pits would be more watery in the Spring, everywhere is flooding now it seems like.

Yes! The long drive was worth it, since we got to spend time together. I got a new file folder for traveling and also super glue was on sale for a dollar.

We spent a good part of the course on management, but the class was a basic overview of educational theory, all the things good teachers are supposed to be and do.

Cool! I saw old faithful, but it was super windy so the blast didn't go straight up and my pictures don't look like much. The coolest thing I saw was a pit of boiling mud so thick that the bubbles couldn't hardly surface and kept making these giant heaving pops. Ok that was a really bad explanation, but it looked like very thick oatmeal boiling, if you've seen that.

Yay, no bears! I just ate a cereal bar and I'm happy to report I'm still alive too :) We went to Ottumwa because I'd never been to Iowa and my friends were shocked and insisted. We went to Target which is exciting because it's about two hours away either direction.

My paper was on grade level and subject specific classroom applications of differentiation of instruction, classroom management, RTI, cultural sensitivity, diverse classrooms, collaborative learning strategies, assessment, and other theoretical stuff.

I don't remember if it has kiss scenes...maybe not since it's a high school drama. It has a happy ending, but I won't tell you what it is!

Here are better suggestions, although they aren't from 2010:

Kimi wa Petto; if you saw the Korean movie, this is different (and better in my opinion).

Nodame Cantabile is amazing and wonderful, and Lunch Queen is super cute, more comedy than romance but their both for adults.

Pride is romance, drama, and comedy, not totally light hearted but it has a happy ending and some intense kissing.

Anego is a decent rom com with happy ending and kissing.

Sorry I don't have much to suggest, most rom com's I've seen don't have kissing, that usually seems to come in the more bittersweet dramas.

I believe your cousins. I realize I'm probably crazy, but middle school is my favorite. Your trip sounds wonderful, and I hope Yellowstone was amazing!! It has been raining nonstop all week, but I went to Iowa for the first time yesterday with my roomies, and then moved home. One more paper, and I'm freee!
