Episode 4 the most complex story but I reject the premise spelled out by the partner at the end of the film who gave up his partner so that partner could fulfill his mother's wish to marry and have a child " I would do the same if I had to do it again" : this is not a noble act of self-sacrifice but maybe a self-hating projection 。the fact is the story reflects homophobic bullying of a different kind 、emotional blackmail by the mother to satisfy her selfish desire to have a grandchild and also fit in with prejudiced society's expectations and we see the consequences when a marriage built on a lie breaks down。so a thoughtful story though a bitter one
personally I thought the end focused on Tao Xe's wedding was a mistake though I understand they may have wished to bring out Xu Zhengxi's lingering regret
this was very good story within the limitations of production and obviously a lot of love and thought went into it、 in a way the weaknesses made it some more real and I am interested to see it was based on a real story。❤️🌈 It was also interesting to see glimpses of gay life in China in 2015and that this was even made at all in 2015、 though I wonder if it is even the same as this now as China has gone backward by censoring gay culture
what is the rationale to have 20 x 10 minute episodes each week day rather than say 4 x 50 minute or 5 x 40 minute. ? is this some great artistic message or just for short attention span audience
love transcends all boundaries、 ep.1 Against the world ; mostly short series of impressions of two boys facing down bullying ep.2 promise you a city:trying to start and keep alive relationship but maybe after all a dog is a man's best friend🐶 ep.3 Beijing very touching❤️🌈 ep.4 The Mistress maybe the most complex story but the saddest also they put a lot in a short drama nice try and brave for China but this was some years ago I see and things have gone backward
I admire him because he played a very brave role as a gay man in a highly prejudiced society and this was a very brave drama for South Korea at that time
愛らしいキャラクターthis short dorama has very simple storyline but captures you by the charm of its characters and loving atmosphere〜 the add ons at the end of each episode are interesting and welcome❤️🌈
what is the point of 3 . 7minute episodes truly these producers of minimal stories should stop treating their audience like fools and produce proper series or close down I even saw one with 50 episodes of 1 minute are they having laugh〜but for what it was 感動したぞ
thank you for replies I really liked chinese wuxia drama for some time until they started censoring LGBT writers and themes they had a high global profile with these dramas they have now lost
Jang Do Yoon has a nice light voice this is a sweet dorama these two can really pass for teenagers though late twenties so feels like genuine bl this dorama conquers your heart by its sweetness❤️🌈
Stringent punishments for drug use is not unique to South Korea. It's prevalent all throughout Asia (in China,…
馬鹿 fool 〜it is not any argument against laws in South Korea being backward that they are also backward in many other south east Asia countries〜all that means is they are ALL backward
