I had a different experience than the reviewer. The first two hours were mainly about a communication self-help…
the first 3 hrs were tolerable but LMAO the last 2 were draggy (like those slow/boring interview/presentation scenes) think I lost track of the plot, I barely remember this movie now. Plus I find slice of life boring in general but only got curious about this since it was 5 hrs.
Funny, I was browsing and saw my local library also has it. Luckily I came here to read the review and saw the…
I picked it up on the shelf randomly since I was looking for movies to watch, saw the movie runtime on the bottom of the DVD credits and it looked new anyways... I don't know why there were a lot of people putting "holds" on the DVD (to pick it up at the library shelf), thought there were 100+ holds on it back then so maybe other people appreciate these types of movies xD I barely remember about this movie now but I usually get bored watching slice of life anyways.. at one point someone was doing a slow presentation scene and I felt like fast forwarding it lol
Where is everyone? Have you all abandoned this drama? I'm enjoying it so much. Bok Hee is a terrific character.…
well I'm in the minority who didn't get the hype over both those dramas.. I actually found some low rated daily dramas more entertaining than mainstream ones since last year. I read some of the comments here about evil characters, is this a makjang? I actually skipped this one because I thought it was one of those slice of life dailies (slice of life bores me so am only interested in the makjang ones, over the top villains are entertaining for me to watch and they have that addictive factor & cliffhangers to keep me watching such long dramas) am just watching A Man in a Veil and Phoenix 2020 right now.
@sunset Thank you for your post! I thought I was the only who feels this way about this drama and Phoenix vs other…
I actually found Avengers Social Club boring (slice of life not really my thing), watched Kleun Cheewit but I still found Hua Jai Sila more exciting overall even though I liked the strong FL and the theme song was pretty good, plus episodes felt too long (1hr 50 min) I hesitate to watch some lakorns because of this. I didn't watch My Wonderful Life, thought it was one of those slice of life dailies and I'm only interested in the makjang ones since they have that addictive factor to keep me watching such long dramas. Oh well it's OK we all have our favourite/least fave actors.. I'm watching both the original Phoenix and 2020 version at the same time but I love Seo Ha Joon's version of Jung Min way more than Eric Mun, so I ship him instead xD It feels like the writer is making him more like the main character than Se Hoon. Based on the beginning of ep 1 scene who do you think she will choose - Se Hoon or Jung Min?
Meanwhile other people be complaining about ratings dropping but daily dramas seem to be the opposite lol they're always rated low 6-7s but I keep seeing 7.8 right now (at least for the ones I've watched)?? This is the more fair rating of those who are actually keeping up with the drama, I remember this was rated 6.3 during the beginning arc. Too bad those who dropped it early give it low ratings before seeing the more exciting parts of this drama or because of their mainstream tastes in dramas meanwhile giving high ratings to rom coms/slice of life or whatever else with their fave/popular actors in it

Happy holidays to you too :) Yes, I notice daily dramas usually have "unknown" actors but it is refreshing to watch different/less mainstream actors. Come! Jang Bo Ri was pretty addicting (it has some similarities to this drama like with the greedy 2nd FL/annoying mom/revenge/abandoned kid), haven't seen Please Come Back Mister yet. I watched Suits when it was airing, been waiting forever for them to release the instrumental background music OST but they never did. There's the J-drama version too but the K-drama grabbed my attention more, never watched the American one. I love Park Hyung Sik too he was perfect with Park Bo Young in SWDBS (both visuals/chemistry) Kang Ki Young was hilarious too in Bring it on Ghost, loved his bromance with Lee David, am looking forward to the lakorn version of this drama if it gets subbed. WWWSK was fun to watch, I liked many of the BGM in that drama too. Usually good BGM in a drama makes the show more memorable for me besides the characters/story. Loved Woo Do Hwan in Save Me, had SLS there even though there wasn't romance in it xD I find some older dramas easier to get into than newer ones nowadays. This year's been boring for me compared to 2016-18 I only liked a few k-dramas - The World of the Married, Kingdom season 2, Zombie Detective, My Dangerous Wife. I got into some lakorns last year too because of Hua Jai Sila, it was addicting since the plot reminded me of makjang dramas. But anyways I will be watching every drama in this time slot from now on since I liked 3 in a row so far..
Seo Joon acting like a spoiled child. "You dated the girl i like". She wasnt yours snd already told you she didnt…
True but it wasn't that easy for him to just give up. Plus he doesn't know that they knew/liked each other since childhood so he'd be even more upset about that since he had no chance in the first place, can't compete with childhood connection... It's funny I see more chemistry with the bromance than the actual romance ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

Thanks ^^ same to you! I also enjoyed A Korean Odyssey, I still find it more memorable than Hotel Del Luna and Tale of the Nine-tailed (of similar fantasy genre/themes). I am actually watching A Place in the Sun and Love to the End since the main leads Kang Eun Tak & Hong Soo Ah were in it. These 2 felt slower for me tbh I only got more interested around 30+ eps. I only started watching daily dramas since last year with Gracious Revenge (same time slot of this and Fatal Promise) completed 6 so far but I get addicted to these makjang dailies.. the villains are entertaining to watch and those cliffhangers at the end of every episode always makes me want to watch more xD except for Ugly Alert, I see many people liking it but I didn't really get the hype over it, it did have a decent start but felt like a drag to finish it halfway and slice of life usually bores me
am watching this now just to see Choi Jin Hyuk omg now I miss watching Zombie Detective - well I'll still try the rest of this for Kim Jung Hyun.. I couldn't get into so many hyped dramas nowadays but this looks decent so far.
the first 20-30 eps were meh but I want to see what happens with the main leads and Yoo Wol reuniting with his son. I like the instrumental track that plays sometimes at the end of an episode, it looks like they released the background music OST for this and Love to the End earlier this year.
After 10 episodes, I am finding Phoenix 2020 quite good and so much better than many other dailies out there.
I got more addicted to it after 20 eps. The only airing dailies I'm watching are this and A Man in a Veil since I get hooked to these makjang/melodramas, dropped No Matter What even though I wanted to watch it for a certain actor but slice of life bores me...
same.. the first 2 eps didn't really grab my attention compared to TWOTM/My Dangerous Wife which had more makjang/thriller…
yeah, didn't enjoy it compared to the previous 3 JTBC dramas with high ratings.. thought it'd be a good mystery drama but it was more like a slice of life which bores me, characters were meh/forgettable even though I liked some of the actors in other dramas before.
