Whatever, I like this show so far (except the battle scene, I find it a little bit off ... I blame the screenwriter) . The plot is engaging. ML, FL and grey characters, young emperor - everybody is doing a great job.

I'll rewatch it again later. I don't skip or fast forward, I like this show. Anyway, thanks a lot !

The story is getting better , the acting is good but the rating is going down?

I hope so. This show is only 24 episodes, with ~45 minutes each episode, no reason to cut the hard work in making the scenes.

4 main males

1 male = ex-husband that killed her in her 1st life. Now, he is her ex-fiance, and she wants to kill her.

1 male= her father's most trusted soldier to guard her, now her love interest.

2 males = her political ministers. They both are never on the same page.

2 Males bickering = Deng Yi and Xie Yan Fang. ✌🏼

At least, she can beat the war drum. Wouldn't that be better to boost morale?

Her father taught her horse riding and archery. (Perhaps, sword play too?)

Don't get me wrong. I like both FL & ML, and the 2 bickering Males. Their acting is superb, their chemistry is fire.

Only this battle scene could have been written better.

When I heard FL said that she would personally lead her father's army.

My expectation :
FL wears an armor, riding a horse with a sword in hand, like a true warrior in battle.

What I watched :
FL rode a chariot, wearing extravagant hanfu with her hair done high adorned with gold ornaments.

Suddenly, she was wearing a plain red hanfu, with only 1 hairpin, fighting with a sword.

Then, she and her army won.

Screenwriter !!! Come on !! 😣😆🤦🏽‍♀️

Comments are saying that in the novel, it is mostly about FL's growth and glory. ML doesn't have much impact.

Here, FL has been toned down, giving ML more highlights as FL's love interest and a skill warrior, which leads to more ML's screen time.

Don't get me wrong, I like both FL and ML, but I also want to see FL as a badass, as a General's daughter and Grand Princess. 😉
