In both theres a group of runaways, also consisting of two guys and two girls who are close. Things dont really go ideally though... other than that both show sisterhood a little (young adult matters abit more so), there are lgbtq characters and the main character isnt really mentally stable and developments in the story take a toll on them. The endings are rather ambiguous too. Park Kang Sub plays a character in both as well.
The bad guy in The Blooms at Ruyi Pavilion, Xu Ping, reminds me of the bad guy in Swords fo Legends, Ou Yang Shou Gong.
