Both deal about a female lead that learned form a disappointment that changed her life and works now together with the male lead to either get revenge, as it is the case in Birth of a Beauty, or to help the male lead, like it is the case in Touch. Both dramas have a very similar feeling and a similar relationship between the leads.

Both are feel good law dramas with very little of that evil chaebol/corrupt politician trying to manipulate things from behind the scenes. Both have a nice touch of comedy to balance out some of the seriousness of the cases.

Both story started with a friend steal the kind, naive female lead's man. FL then took revenge against the fake friend by stealing the woman's son.

The plots are not very similar but both are very light hearted. They both have a cute and funny female lead and arrogant male lead.

Former serial killer Byung Soo gets diagnosed with Alzheimer's. The doctor tells him that it's due to the aftereffects from a traffic accident 17 years ago; the same accident that stopped him from his killings and allowed him to live a normal life with his dear daughter. So when a series of murders occur near his town, Byung Soo gets worried whether the killings are his doing during his memory lapses. But then he comes across Tae Ju and instinctively realizes that he is the serial killer. He reports this to the police, only to learn that Tae Joo is one. Byung Soo tries to find firm evidence that Tae Ju is a psychopath, but only raises Tae Ju's interest in him and his daughter. And now with his memory slipping, Byung Soo must find a way to protect his daughter from Tae Ju.

Before being released home after cancer treatment, Soo-hyun is given a gift box from her sister Ji-hyun (who was made mute after a disturbing roadway accident).
