In both movies, a conspiracy is taking place to dethrone the king. There is more action in Curse of the Golden Flower though.

johnny's fandom. haha. but story-wise, if you wanna watch something that focuses on the Rescue them, then this is the perfect drama

Both stories are filled with action scenes and carefully plotted and executed plans. Truly exciting to watch! The main characters are somewhat similar in terms of personality, filled with dark past, sadness, and rage but cannot show any of that to anyone.
