stuck in the game for one reason or another - but what is this game and who runs it? Will NPCs join the forces? Will the real people achieve the goal of getting out of there?

If you're a sucker for strong chemistry between the leads, then this one has got it too! Another similarity is the devotion, borderline obsession, of the male lead to the female lead - there is only one woman in their heart and one woman only! But the romantic journeys are very different, which keep things interesting. Both series are high in angst and will send you on a roller coaster of emotions. Last but not least, the acting by the ML and FL in both are top notch! Making the audience feel the emotions right along with them.

- Arranged marriage.
- ML seems cold and mean at first but is actually very kind and gentle towards his woman.
- Healthy mains relationship.
- Both leads are soft and gentle with each other.
Both deal with two very different people finding a balance with one another.
Both are love stories which started off as an arranged marriage , and viewers get to see the love story between the lead characters develop over the drama/movie.

- Though these two historical dramas are about two countries (Korea and China?!), their period setting is quite in the same term (late 19th and early 20th century - colonisation war, nationalist movements, you know there are a lot of huge events happening here).
- Similar main themes of revolution, war, human fates under the wheel of history.
- Their aesthetics are quite alike too (yellowish nostalgic colour tone, big epic scenes, etc.)
- Fun fact: both have placed a part of their plot in Japan setting, given how Japan heavily influenced this period. So get ready to hear some odd Japanese accent dialogue since (I guess) there are no native actors in the films

Both dramas are set in Joseon.
In both the brother of the FML disappears and „comes back“ years later.

Both have same cast. It is the same kind of vertical drama with a steamy tropey story and snowflakes, cold CEO who falls head over heels over a young female student....
Only to while time away : nothing serious, so there is no need to bother looking for flaws, plot holes, etc. It is just sweet pastime for 3hrs+ in the "compilation edition" on YouTube, just like the box of colored candies that features in Embrace Through The Moon.

Storyplot is almost the same specially the part when FL got drunk and was saved by ML from abusive men that he placed his headphones to FL while doing his fight scenes. Very same scene with MLM.

Even that masquerade ball dance scene was also mimicked.

it is i, the niel.

not similar, but same energy. they both have crime elements, but on different sides of the law.

if you like chaotic nonsense, perfect. both shows will be at the top of your list. mystical birds (real and in the form of party city wings) and tigers (real and in the form of a really bad fake back tattoo) aren't far off from one another. what more do i need to say?

best,

the niel.

Hide One`s Love is way darker.

Both ML are madly in love with FL and will do anything to have her.

Both ML are Mob Boss/ Tycoons.

FL initally despises ML, but her heart gradually softens when she realizes his sincere love.

Passion is insane in both stories..like wow!
