- They must face struggles toghether.
Same idea.

The dramas have similar vibes and I loved both a lot! It's the kind of dramas you'll love or hate.
What're the similarities?
The romance is not the main thing, but the chemistry and the leads relationships are mature and deep and kept the viewer captivated till the end. The level of communication and intimacy through words is outstanding, the dialogues can be pretty intense. Not the usual skinship and love-dating-marriage type of thing tho; the love is expressed more with looks, gestures, words, silences, support etc...
The background stories are the real deal in both the titles and to appreciate it well you have to embrace those stories, because the leads are mostly motivated by their own goals.
What're the differences?
-The double is more about personal/family revenge, while TRoP is more about palace struggles
-Even if they both deal with heavy themes, with bloody scenes, the general vibe of The double is "lighter" and has more comical relief moments
-The leads in TRoP are more grey, especially the ML. While in the Double he's mysterious and apparently "cold", his actions are always rightful and clear. In TRoP the ML is darker and it's not always clear what his intentions are.
-The Double is more focused on the FL's story (and her own goals), while in TRoP it's the opposite
-In the Double the couple shows support and trust in e/o throughout the drama, while in TRoP this type of support and trust is not always on point
-The Double has an HE, TRoP has a SE

A revenge drama with complicated and intriguing relationship between our leads. Just like how the leads in 'The Double' trusted each other amd worked together to bring down all the corrupted people wish the same for this one.
Both Series Include: Fake Dating as the main Troupe in the story, and both series are mainly fluffy and wholesome, so light series to watch when you feel like you want to watch softer series/BL.
In both the dramas, the FL is new to entrepreneurship and both worked hard to gain the support of an investor and later fell in love with him. Both the FL leads had relationship problems and their companies encountered difficulties after they started dating . However, it ended with a happy ending.
I know the two works are quite random, but they are two recent shows I watched that comprises of the male lead having a second chance at life and making better decisions at it, which included saving some of his family members.
- Both of the couple's were lovers in past.
- Both ML tortured female lead.
- Despite ML's cold behaviour FL took care of him when he was injured.
- Both couple slowly fall again despite hatred.
- Both ML treated FL as their servant.

The male lead was bullied in high school but due to some circumstances, stands up against his bullies. Boyhood is just AWESOME. 10/10.
-Strong FLs in terms of mentality (FL in TLB can also fight)
-strong focus on scheming
-some focus on revenge for TLB, while The Double is pretty much all revenge
-hidden coup
There are many identifiable similarities, but I feel like the overall vibe of both dramas are quite similar. If you're especially looking for strong FLs who can scheme, both dramas are great.

Healing, awesome cinematography, village life, unique, refreshing, learn other culture, and the most important thing is all casts have good acting. If you come across this page and you're trying to watch drama with similar vibes I highly recommend To The Wonder, only 8 episodes and it is one of the most popular chinese dramas 2024 on douban.
If you enjoy drama that could heal your soul, has wonderful cinematography, village life, aesthetic vibes, wholesome relationship... you definitely will love To The Wonder too!
