A childhood love story between SML Hong Kong man, ML Japanese man & FL Japanese woman. FL was sick since she was a kid & ML want to save her by becoming a doctor to help her but SML also love FL but few years after they all reunited again FL already engaged to ML. Edison Chen in a Japanese must watch movie despite his personal behaviour towards woman in real life.

Both dramas have a character of a Fujoshi girl who writes a fiction about boys she knows and her ship(s) eventually become(s) real.
Both shows are funny and entertaining but also can make you cry at certain moments.

The general feel of the shows is very similar, firstly. It's centered around a lot of growth, and explores friendships and relationships.
The leads in both the shows have dreams that they are chasing, and they are trying to navigate their relationship along with them.
SPOILER:
The largest similarity, however, is in their endings. They separate because their timings were wrong, and they were at stages in their lives, where it was just not possible to be together, if they also wanted to follow their own paths. And so they separate. But both endings are ambiguous, and give us hope, that one day, when the time is right, they might reunite.
And I truly appreciate these endings. They're very realistic.

Both male leads are heirs to a traditional business that involves wearing traditional style of clothing. Both have a psycho female character pulling the strings. Both female leads have to navigate working the ins and outs of the business. Promise Cinderella is more of a romantic comedy while Watashitachi wa Douka Shiteiru is a little bit more of darker revenge.

Both these drama centre around a group of women in their "club". Ex-girlfriend club focuses on four women who all have anger towards their shared ex. Meanwhile, green Mother's Club shows the different dynamics in relationships between mothers whose children all attend the same school.

Both dramas contain characters which work within a school environment. Whilst love with flaws is more lightheaded being a romantic comedy, black dog is more serious in detecting the issues faced within schools.

Both of these are work based dramas which show the struggles of the lead as they work within a temporary placement. In black dog it is a case of the FL being a temporary teacher whilst in kkondae intern, the second ML works temporarily due to being on an internship.

Both dramas focus on the love interests of four friends. Go back couple focuses on a couple who return to their past and rekindle their romantic relationship, whilst Fight for my way FL and ML start out as childhood friends but progress into a romance as the show develops.

Creatures create havoc, in Deranged it's a parasite. Both are centered in water creatures. Thriller, suspense

- male lead moves to the seaside town to stay away from scandals (top star yoo baek) ; female lead moves to seaside town after going through a series of trouble
- the vibe are somewhat similar as it brings that comfort feeling
- romance between the leads and the side characters
- a story of friendship
- female lead is a diver (top star yoo baek) ; han ji min's character is also a diver
- a cold hearted male lead paired up with a bright/warm hearted female lead

Both depicts somewhat the revival of the sect...
In both the dramas, the main protagonists cultivate together.

Obviously, both have Lee Min Ki in it. Although BTIMFL is more preppy and happy, they both are in the slice of life genre, showing the events in the mundane lives of normal people. They both discuss certain topics that are quite relatable to the public, like insecurities, societal pressures, relationships and their fragility, workplace toxicity, and just the overall hardships of being a broke young adult with nothing to your name.
