Recommendations

Obviously it's the original version of this story, so it's to be expected as a recommendation. I personally think that Art is a bit more likeable thank McIntosh to be honest. I felt McIntosh's character came across a bit more racist to me.

- Rookie Agent is set in a different time period, it's interesting contrasting them
- Romance is a side story in both, it is less present in Cruel City
- Both mains are in the police force
- Both highlight the sacrifices made by undercover police and their tough lives

- Even though they tell completely different stories, these two dramas both have the female leads disguised as males entering the lives of the male leads
- Both female leads help the males through their life crisis'
- To the beautiful you is a fluff drama while the latter is kind of the opposite

- Both have basically the same actors
- Legend of Zhen Huan focuses more on the emperor's harem while Legend of Mi Yue on politics
- Both highlight the hard life concubines had
- Legend of Mi Yue has a stronger storyline

- Both include the transition from college to work life
- Both showcase the daily struggles of young adults
- Both are slice-of life dramas, I recommend both for all young people

- Both deal with gangs
- Both have leads conflicted about their life involved in the black market
- Coin locker girl doesn't have the romance aspect as much

- Both revolve around art
- Both female leads help the male leads with their art
- Both dramas are good in not concentrating completely on romance, there are interesting side stories besides from this aspect

Both dramas have a theme of unconventional family, in Marmalade Boy they swap partners while in the other one they have partners of same sex.

ML character is similar. Both hav a sick ex-wife or ex-GF whom they get married to when they are in a relationship with the FL.

One's reality show but has some kind of hints about the drama. Give you some cackles. Both are 'Prison Life'. Both has Kang Seung Yoon. The PD of the drama is the writer of the reality show.

In both dramas the main characters look to an online community to help them with a problem that they are facing.

Both are revenge melodramas. The male leads have a similar personalities due to scars from their past.

Like Money Flower, Golden Empire also deals with a large corporation and the fights that ensue over the chairman position and the inheritance. Lots of power struggles, relationships of convenience and plot twists make these two dramas similar in tone and characters.
