Fizzles out in the end

Drama had a great start. I liked how they approached the story, their approach somehow felt fresh and unique although we have seen this kind of story many times.
Story and had enough depth to make it intresting throughout its run. Acting was top notch including the child actors and i thought the drama was perfectly casted.
But the last few episodes really disappointed me. I thought initially the writer took a brave approach in handling the relationship between the three leads. But instead of going through with it they coped out for a happy ending in the end which made the entire journey of the three leads bitter sweet.
Character of Kai which brings supernatural elements to the drama was rather hit or miss for me. It would have worked much more if that aspect of the story was treated more as a mystery. I understand the purpose of his character and how important he is to the story but most of the scenes involving him and Ra Mi Ran (in the end)made her emotional journey a little less impactful. I wanted the character to deal with her emotions on her own terms and come out of it stronger and braver
Humour of this drama was self aware and good. It would have worked much better if it was cut down to 16 episodes. But still it was enjoyable overall

it's not that good

I had lots of expectations going into this drama due to the good reviews it got but I was disappointed . Though the plot is well thought out, the execution of it was kind of plain and boring. There is not a single likable character except maybe the FL. It was a bit predictable. The main flaw of the series is that the two time travelers does not have any harmony and trust between them for most of the series which becomes annoying and makes you lose interest in the drama soon whereas in dramas like Signal which kind of has a similar concept to this drama , the two leads at first does have their doubts but soon into the series they believe one and other which was satisfying further pushed the plot into the focus rather than the leads insecurities . The sub characters were irritating and got on my nerve. The twist upon twist concept got boring quickly and the main leads were kind of dumb which was frustrating. The drama overall was a bit interesting but I lost interest in the middle and I had force myself to watch till the end hoping that it gets better. This is just my opinion and if it does not appease you just ignore it and move on.

Good concept, bad execution

The show's premise IS good, if handled well....the problem is that it wasn't.
This show infuriated me. And it all boils down to mostly the production and the choosing of the cast and their "lies".

The immense difference in how serious the lies where, was ridiculous. They basically used a very few selected members of the cast to draw attention and provocation towards the show, whilst other mostly were chosen for looks and or exposure to media.
They had their main clickbait, Hanui, and her secret revealed in the first episode. This made me as a watcher, anticipate the other members lies and thinking they would be on the same level, only to be mostly disappointed. Hanui even had a panic attack and were extremely anxious towards the end.

The show wanted to provoke and shed light to the possibility to look beyond prejudice, and for the cast to "reinvent themselves" with an possibility to start over. Only, when majority of the casts " hidden lies" are kinda the common persons problems, and in result, it fails to deliver. In all, I believe only about 3 or max 4 of the participants had a lie that I would consider on a level of usual "taboo" when dating.

It is a mature-focused show that isn't really suitable for younger adults. There's alot of context where I feel like male participants overstepped and straight up emotionally abused some participants. I would have liked to have the participants have scheduled appointments with a therapist DURING the show. Since the cameras kept rolling even as the people were fighting, no one could really stop when there was a wrongdoing and the participants doing wrong mostly just kept going with their day with a very small minded way of thinking. All in all, I felt huge red flags from a couple of people. Yes, they can edit the scenes to be more dramatic but at the end, the things said remained said and I grew to really dislike some participants. I realised that the conservative mindset of some of the participants was blatantly present and prevented them from growing mentally.

I took a break from watching the show right before the last episode, and it took me a month long break to actually watch the last episode because I felt like the production of the show failed the few participants (mostly Hanui) that had taken this as an golden opportunity to find a meaningful relationship.

The commentators, whilst repeating the same things you see and analyzing them, were a fun part towards the show, although not exactly always needed, were a good way for the show to "pause" when the scenes got heavy.

If you're looking for a good dating show, there is definitely better dating shows than this.
If you are bored and interested in the concept and execution of the show, go for it! Maybe you'll like it or maybe not :)

Hong Jong Chan really captured the suspenseful drama of the story incredibly well. Life follows a story that most Medical dramas don't often explore with enough depth - Doctors vs Management. And how much money centric the hospital business is. In fact, Life is less about the actual role of the Doctor with limited scenes involving surgery or other atypical scenes that you'd see in other Medical dramas. Life is very character driven and theoretical when it comes to medicine. The emotional and business side of it is very much on display. We follow many different characters with vastly different ideals and intentions.

Dr Ye Ji Woo is our main representative for the doctors and President Go Seung Hyo is the representative for the business, mangerial side. President Go is a fascinating character. He has little medical experience, he doesn't believe Doctors deserve their god complex mindset and thus, he contrasts instantly with Dr Ye and his co-workers. At first look, President Go is our main villian but he is a very complex character who only wants to do the best he can for the job he was tasked to do. And that is to make money. His role is to make the hospital profitable. That rubs everyone the wrong way and he gets blamed for a lot of the darkside activities that take place throughout the series but as we get to know Go and how he truly interacts with the people around him, Dr Lee No Eul, we begin seeing that he's not a bad guy at all. President Go constantly walks that line, the shades of grey and it's so compelling to see that journey. Dr Ye just wants to care for his patiens and fights against the monetization, naturally, but there is a hidden surface with him as well. The relationship between the Ye brothers is a prevalent story throughout the series. Dr Ye's guilt for his brother's condition, Sun Woo's constant feeling that he's a burden on his brother. But their love for each other is one of the best things about the series. And that's just the tip of the iceburg, there is so much depth in the story of Life. All six of our main characters are just as important and pivitol to the plot and so much. Our side characters are just as rich and add a ton to the story. The mystery behind Director Lee's death, Dr Seon Woo Chang losing his will for the industry due to the harsh nature of his job (having to ask greving parents for organ donors), Reporter Choi's struggle against media suppression. There is huge amounts of plot. If you want detailed plot from start to finish, Life is perfect. You don't have to worry about lack of progression or filler episodes with this drama.

The acting more than matches the rich plot. Jo Seung Woo steals the show with his maginificent performance as President Go. The character is subtle and constantly toes the line between antagonist and most rootable character of the drama and that's thanks to Seung Woo. Honestly, he was sublime. This would be a career performance for 90% of the actors in the industry and it would be for Jo Seung Woo as well if not for Stranger (1 & 2). Lee Dong Wook is less strong on his own but his interactions with Lee Kyu Hyung, Won Jin Ah and Jo Seung Woo more than hold up its weight. He and Lee Kyu Hyung's character really felt like brothers to me and was a great emotional release outside of the tension in the rest of the series. Won Jin Ah and Jo Seung Woo have a low key romantic tension and while it's not the main story, you get invested in it just as much. Moon So Ri (as Dr Oh Se Hwa) and Yoo Jae Myung ( as Joo Kyung Moon) were brilliant with their veterean roles. They had lesser roles compared to the other four main leads but they were just as strong in their acting and performance. Moon So Ri is a big favourite of mine and I'm glad that she was able to shine in a larger project like this.

I've droaned on longer than I like so all I can say is just watch Life. It's an excellent series.

I've seen a lot of kdramas so far. Almost all of the dramas in the Popular List. By now, this is my favorite drama. Mad Dog is sooo underrated. Disclaimer : I'm a picky watcher, okay, I don't rate 10/10 easily....
Mad Dog is one of the best dramas out there, it really needs more recognition. Why? Well...

Character development and acting skills is SO good!!! It really gets me goosebumps, especially Woo Do Hwan and Yoo Ji Tae's acting skills!
The storyline/plot is amazingly original and there's very much suspense / thriller in this. It really gets you thrilled for the upcoming episodes(at least, me. It did start off slow though). Not predictable like so many other dramas. Background stories of all main leads are pretty clear and well thought of.
Prettiest OST out there, Before The Sunset by Eric Nam. Honestly I still play the OST daily on Spotify lol. It's really emotional and fits every scene that you hear it with.

Filming/special effects are amazing. This drama is filmed very good, I can notice. Very nice scenery.
Only downside is some plotholes. Things that don't really make sense and the storyline could be a bit stronger with some more real "story" to it. But the acting made it really good.

The romance is not really important in here, if you're looking for cliche romance then best not be here. There's some romance in here but no multiple kissing scenes, not like that. Ofcourse, the genres are Crime/Investigation etcetera.

Absolutely LOVE it! I've seen so many dramas (DOTS, Healer, K2, Goblin, Strong Woman Do Bong Soon, W, Suspicious Partner, While You Were Sleeping etc etc), this one is the BEST I've seen so far! Props to all the actors and congrats on winning awards!

I have to keep reminding myself that this newest ×××holic adaptation was a movie rather than a whole series, because I really wished that it was the latter... as it had been for the 2013's adaptation. And as with the 2013 version, I wished that there were plans to make a live-action adaptation of Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicles since it does feel out out place to think of Watanuki's existence without having any mention of Shaoran.

That said, having Shibasaki Kou as Yuko was really perfect! I have nothing against Watanabe Anne tbh but I have to say that Kou really do carry the mysterious aura that Yuko had. And that was also partially the reasoning as to why I wished that this current adaptation was also made as a series. Because one can't really get enough of it, seeing Shibasaki Kou's Yuko and Kamiki's Watanuki as well as the rest of the casts.

I love Himawari's actress and she really carried the characters well. But I have to admit that due to the movie's length a lot of her story was revised to fit the time constraints. It made it hard to really relate to her character since the plot was moving too fast. Same can be said about Doumeki tbh. Like I prefer his drama version more, which was understandable since drama Doumeki had time to develop his relationship with Watanuki (and Himawari) compared to the movie version. And movie Doumeki feel a bit too stiff than how I remembered him.

Like the drama, this movie also covered the arc regarding the Spider Lady. But unlike drama, movie place more emphasis on the incident between the Spider Lady and Watanuki... aside from extending further to cover the end plot of ×××holic where Yuko passed the shop to Watanuki. Not that I blame the movie for that (since without the TRC connection it's hard to justify the reasoning for the latter plot to happen) but I kinda wished that movie didn't just speedrun the plot about Yuko's shop being a shop that grants wishes as well as Watanuki's interaction with the customers just to reach the end plot. I mean at most, I wished that the movie plot could be split up into several movie length production rather than just one. I mean, man.... how could movie tease us with a few seconds of Zashiki Warashi×Watanuki yet later forget about it? Like I know people used to complain about the 2013 drama, but I wished that the adaptation this time could be a bit longer.

Anyhow, this was still a great movie. While the lack of TRC mention made the adaptation feel incomplete (since it basically can explain everything about Watanuki's existence and why he needed to be at the shop) it was still nice to revisit the world of ×××holic after so long. Not to mention how perfect the costume department had been for this movie.

After I was crazy with web dramas last year, I couldn't find any other ones I could watch. Thankfully Playlist Global has another web dramas for us to fall in love again! This is also a spin-off of all of their web dramas that have been shown already. Seeing the characters from Love Playlist and A-Teen got me in the feels so much! I honestly came for the people but stayed for the storyline and the cast.

This drama is amazing! It felt so close to reality. It wasn't your typical drama where both leads end up together in the end. Instead, it is left in an open ending where we can expect a continuation of the story. The title is well thought of. I love the pun so much.

When Jin-ho said if she could ask for a re-feel, I literally screeched. It could be interpreted in two ways like how it is titled. She wanted a refill of her drink, or she wanted to re-feel her feelings for him. I'm so pumped for this story, I want it to continue!! Waiting for the second season with all my heart <3

Perfect World was a nice movie. I did enjoy the love story, although the girl kind of looked way too young for the part.

But first thing first. The movie started nicely and the way they presented the story was packed with feels and a bit drama. However, I would have loved if they explored the main characters personalities and struggles more and Ido believe the actor would have delivered the role better if the script allowed him to.

Still, the love story was sweet and touching. It also had some short of innocence into it. And the performances were good.

So, seven out of ten.

THE BEST OF 2022! I WISH I COULD WATCH THIS AGAIN FOR THE FIRST TIME

This drama took me by surprise. It was never in my radar, neither do I know any of the actors, or novel. Therefore, rest assured this review does not contain bias.

I've been randomly seeing clips of this from Tiktok and didn't really immediately caught my attention. In fact, I dismissed it as another cringey shoujo type high school romance after seeing those clips of this seeming tsundere blonde haired boy. I was still on the process of browsing shows looking for something that my possibly top Love Between Fairy and Devil.
After dropping so many dramas (Kdrama, Cdrama, Thai) I was really bored, I gave in and and started it when there was probably like 6episodes aired.

Although first 2 episodes are intriguing and totally different from what I expected, it did not really hook me when they started the flashback scene of their college life. I was only half paying attention to it when I stream it. I think it wasn't until episode 7 or 8, AND THEN I'M HOOKED.

SOMETHING IS REALLY SPECIAL SPECIAL WITH THIS SERIES. I try to list down here the things that I like and don't like :

1) This drama is NOT cringey at all. Most modern Cdramas are either boring or super cringe. L&P is unique, the way the script was written is very realistic.

2) The chemistry between the leads is ABSOLUTELY PERFECT! I love them, they are so perfect for the role. Their adlibs and how they deliver their scenes is just truly perfect. I tend to cringe easily whenever couples in a series get together, I lose interest and get annoyed by their sweet scenes. But this is different, all their scenes together as a couple will give you butterflies.

3) There are no annoying second couple. This series focuses on the main couple. You will not be forced to watch filler episodes of characters you do not care much about.

4) The way the characters are written is so wonderful and matured. There is no cutesy high pitched voiced FL, but ZhuYun the FL here, is possible the best FL in dramaland. Her unwavering love and support for LiXun is truly beautiful to witness. She is neither a doormat nor a domineering FL. She is a well balanced FL, she strong and capable and yet still always emanates innocence and softness.
LiXun also is an amazing character, another complex ML that you also can't help but care more and more as the story progress. I know it looks like in the beginning of the series that he's a jerk and a red flag. But trust me, HE IS NOT A RED FLAG AT ALL. He's got some issues but he's far from toxic. They are actually wonderful and super strong when together.

5) The soundtrack is amazing!

6) The production is high quality. The set, the outfits (specially the present time ones) are really beautiful.

7) Probably the most important. The story is captivating. You will care so much and root for the characters and always makes you curious what will happen to them. I cannot go into the details of the story without spoiling. But it truly is one that will stay with you for a long time.

8) I know it may sound like the story is super serious and intense, it is indeed intense, but there is always humour within the episodes. Specially around the Feiyang company, their journey is really a feel good story.

The only thing that I didn't like about it is that it has to end. I miss this drama so badly already.

It could've been better.

What was refreshing about this story is that the main couple communicated what made them worry and shared their struggles with each other, so a lot of misscommunication and missunderstanding tropes that you see used for cheap angs all the time were avoided. I really enjoyed them working on themselves as people and learning to put boundaries and the idea that for yourself to be on a relationship and for it to be healthy, you have to speak your mind and also think of yourself. And that there should be a balance in between loving yourself but not thinking only about yourself to the point you ignore or walk on other people's feelings.
I thought that was nice, but the story dragged at some points because some of the things did become repetitive, like the father trying to cause drama for his own benefit, the art student chasing after the CEO, the main couple being... really vainilla? Like I don't expect heavy stuff but the way they acted regarding intimacy was in a way something I wouldn't think people on their almost thirties would do. In the whole drama they've must kissed 3 times, and those were mostly pecks on the lips, and a lot of the times they acted as polite friends instead of a couple in love.
The romance between the art student and the CEO started cute but I feel there wasn't that much depth to it.
The only character I ended up actually bonding with and wanting to see more off was that secondary character who was male mc's friend. The one who always came first on track.
Overall, I don't think it was a bad drama, is just a drama to watch when you're tired and just want to lay on your bed or sofa and have a quiet momment for yourself.

Why did the wind have to blow right then?

I kind of loved this. It was as if I was witnessing a short story being written, discussed, and eventually brought to life over the course of the drama. The color scheme was also fantastic and the acting bordered on great during key scenes. However, despite the MLs having wonderful chemistry all throughout, when it came time to deliver on showing physical affection, they failed. I find myself having to dock a full point for the kiss scene. And, here's the thing, it wasn't as though it was charming or realistically awkward: It just didn't work. I think I would prefer it if they didn't kiss at all rather than deliver something so disappointing and frame it as a romantic high point.

This leaves me feeling conflicted. While I would almost easily recommend this to others, I find myself sighing at its conclusion.

It's like returning home and going over vacation pictures and finding one where you're wearing a new outfit, standing in front of a gorgeous sunset, but at that exact moment when the picture was snapped the wind happened to blow your hair into your face and so while it is still a great memory and you will show it to family and friends your fingers will always itch as you so wish you could fix it by simply brushing your hair away.

Fun And Enjoyable

Great story and very different. The story about 2 people that meet and get married the same day. They show how they conquer each other hearts and fall in love. How they survive, understand, communicate to make their marriage last. The characters in this drama are so cute. Both lead characters make this drama, especially when they smile at each other. The chemistry between the lead characters are perfect to make you believe in their characters. The actors performance is great. I like how the writer stay in one subject with no other conflict then what we have in an everyday week as newlyweds. It will put a smile on your face and you will enjoy it.

This is freaking hilarious!

I have never laughed so hard in the last year like during watching this show.

It is just pure comedy, starting with the intro where everybody is dressed like "Saturday Night Fever" - John Travolta would be so jealous. The music throughout the show is great, the main melody resembles the "Beauty and the Beast" song, I died of laughter every time.

The acting is great and the show mucks like every chliché there is in BL: the bad/good boy falling in love, the "Bottom-stumble", the "oh no there is someone in need I have to take him home"-scenes and so much more . Yes I am a BL fan, but this does not stop me from enjoying a good parody and this is really great.

"Don't miss season 2 if there is gonna be one" (quote): I do hope there will be another season, this is just fun to watch!

Watched for a mind f*ck, Got a mind f*ck

I saw some edits of this drama on TikTok and saw that it was just a movie. I had been looking for a sad movie to watch so I didn't have to invest 16 hours of my life into a sad Kdrama. And when I tell you this is not the movie for ice cream and cry time, I wouldn't be lying.

The story had a few plot holes and parts where I didn't understand what was going on, but that could also be held to the fact THAT I WAS IN TEARS for a majority of this drama. I really have no room to judge whatsoever on the plot of this movie. Due to that, I gave it a 10/10. I can't rate it lower just because "he died" or "why did it have to end like that" the whole point of this movie was to get that point across. It's not like it was a cute little romance movie and I'm now gonna write a hate review because the couple I wanted to get together, in the end, didn't. This movie was about a serious subject and I shall rate it accordingly.

When going in to watch this movie I was a little worried about Park Jin-Young being cast in it. I was extremely nervous with this movie's serious subject matter, that the movie would try to "sexualize" him too much. But I was very surprised by the fact that he wasn't portrayed as a super hot brother seeking revenge on his poor twin. They didn't make him look flawlessly attractive giving him perfect skin a gorgeous makeup. He wasn't ripped in all the scenes where his shirt was off, and they surely didn't give very many of those scenes. On top of that Park Jin-Young's acting as Wol Woo was unrecognizable. Every signal scene with Wol Woo had me bawling my eyes out. Overall, the acting of both twins was splendidly done by Park Jin-Young.

I think this movie could have been completely ruined if they had added some sappy sad songs over some of the scenes. The lack of music made this movie seem all more real. There was no dramatic fight scene music as Il Woo was fighting for his life. There was no a-cappella being sung over all of the SA scenes. The only music throughout the whole movie that really made an impression on me was the Christmas Carol.

While I do think this was a movie worth my watch to see Park Jin-Young's amazing acting. If he wasn't in it I probably would have never found it or even considered watching it. The chances of me rewatching this again a slim to none but I am thankful that I had the opportunity to watch this one time.

If you do plan on watching this movie I won't stop you, but be warned this movie holds no bounds and absolutely no room for happiness. So grab your box of tissues or your roll of toilet paper as I did, and prepare to be Mind F*cked.
