This drama was my first Japanese drama I had watched it before 6 years and I already rewatch it 3 or 4 times. If you like to watch a drama that will make you cry you won't find any better one than this. Every single scene is perfect all cast members are amazing and acting very well.
This drama will make you think about very simple things in your life you have never thought it was really important, you will be thankful for every single thing in your life.
I promise you that you will never regret watching it

This was such an unexpectedly delightful film. Fun, quirky, sexy, heartwarming and full of food porn, I thoroughly enjoyed it.
Joo Ji Hoon and Kim Jae Wook gave great performances in the leads but Yoo Ah In shows why he ended up being one of Korea's most-respected and versatile actors.
But beyond the lovely acting and the sense of magical realism, this film is underpinned by strong friendships and the power of human connection. Everyone who walks into the Antique Bakery is damaged in some way but is slowly healed and not just by the really great cake.
I highly recommend this film.

I went into watching Himitsu-The Top Secret today knowing only what i read in the synopsis on KissAsian. I did not know it was based on a Manga or that there is an anime adaptation, had i done my research prior to watching the movie, i would have opted to watch the anime first as i believe it's quite rare to come across a movie adaption of Manga that gets it right. So coming from the view point of a person who has not read the Manga or seen the Anime, let's get to what you need to know...

This movie contains GRAPHIC and EXPLICIT CONTENT which means if you cannot stand nudity, sexual content, profanity, graphic murder and medical scenes, this movie is not for you. ***I would recommend this only for a mature 18+ audience***Would i call this a horror? i'm going to say no but to be fare, there elements of horror within this movie. If i had to describe this movie, i would say it's the Minority Report (with Tom Cruise) meets The Cell (with Jennifer Lopez) but a whole lot better with a dash of Death Note vibes (solar eclipse scene specifically)
WHAT I LIKED:
The cast selection was on point. I am not familiar with any of these actors but believed they, for the most part fully immersed themselves in their roles. Stands outs were 1. Tom Ikuta as Tsuyoshi Maki, i felt his grief and the weight of the load he is carries, he portrayed Maki so well. He reminded me somewhat of L from Death Note 2. Lisa Oda as Kinuko Tsuyuguchi and 3. Nao Omori as Shunsuke Manabes.
The story line without giving too much away holds ups well in the suspense, psychological thriller genre. They tell you who the killer is within the first 30 minutes so how do they keep you watching? They hook you in with 1. music that makes you think something is about to happen, if you've watched any Japanese horror films, you know the music i'm talking about. There was also something cold and unsettling about the lighting in each scene too, nothing felt welcoming, they did that real well! 2. a contentious topic that involves the use of an MRI scanner that probes peoples minds after death 3. the release of gritty flash backs in varying resolution was very well done and enticing . I was grossed out and hooked with the opening scene
WHAT I DIDN'T LIKE:
Masaki Okada was ok as Ikko Aoki but as the second lead male, not a very memorable performance for me. His character just seemed to get lost in the scenes with the other characters I've mentioned above. I loved this movie, it was gripping and suspenseful, however, i do believe the story needed more character development; "there's a fine line between good and evil" we are eerily told that in the movie and as a viewer, i kind of like it when writers take us through a gradual unfolding of action and consequence where that fine line they talk about is revealed but they just didn't pull that balance off well enough, it felt almost like the writers gave us the middle part of the novel first and i believe it takes great skill to keep people captivated when you flip the script like that.

After the Chinese Meteor Garden and the Japanase Good Morning Call, I decided to begin with my very first kdrama.
And o boy, what a show! I immediately fell in love with this story and the cast. The OST gave me goosebumps everytime. I'm still playing all those songs every day. I love fantasy kdrama like this and Lee Seung Gi can kiss!!!
I cried a lot during this show, i never thought i would be so addicted to something in my life.
At first i didn't know how to think about Lee Seung Gi. But i slowly fell in love with him and also his character Son o Gong. The chemistry is amazing between the cast, even the dorky Cha Seung Won is funny to see.
I told myself i had to buy this dvd, and i finally bought the dvd a few weeks ago online. My very first kdrama, this means so much to me!!

Who is the Murderer? Let's get to know the Deceased first.

Completed - 3/24/2022

If you haven't watched season 1, please know that my review WILL disclose who was murdered (which you find out in the last few minutes of Ep 8). I also strongly recommend you watching season 1 before season 2.
Here's my review of season 1 if you are interested: https://mydramalist.com/profile/voicelesslove/review/199589

Now that we know who was murdered, season 2 focuses on finding out who the killer is. The drama casts a very wide net and basically suspects anyone and everyone that has to do with Madame Sue. For the majority of season 2, I find the pacing to be somewhat slow. There are still stories told using many flashbacks. We find out more about the background stories of the characters and what happened the day of the murder.

But the focus is discovering who Madame Sue really is. She is not as nice and gentle as she seems. There's a much darker and manipulative side of her that not many people know. Was she already like that when she was a teenager? Was her experiences at home and low self-esteem the reason for her extreme actions? Each episode, we get to know her little by little and the lies that she told to her closest ones.

It's not until the last few episodes of season 2 do we find out exactly what happened. Madame Sue, the manipulative and revengeful one, has set up traps for those who hurt her long before her murder. I believe after her attempted suicide, she is ready to set the wheels in action .

Part 2 does not tell us who the murderer is, but ends on a cliffhanger. We do see a set of eyes from the rearview mirror. We will need to finish Part 3 in order to know what really happens on the day of murder.

p.s.
-Chris Wu is amazing as Baby - can't recognize him at all!
-The many guest roles continue in season 2. It's nice to see more of Wallace Huo (he's so darn sexy) and Vivian Hsu (who I haven't seen in a long time).

Do not watch this

This might be the worst drama I have ever seen.
I only sticked around because I wanted to know how it ends.
In the first 8 episodes we had at least 4 different plots: stalker fan, forced living together, dying mothers , enemies to lovers, but all of them were rushed.
Han Bi Soo supposed to be a celebrated writed, but the scenes from his drama were not good at all. And I love Nana, but she could not pull off the action scene in the last episode.

And by the end everyone died, even her own mother does not recognise Oh Joo In, but we should be happy about this?
Nonsense

8 episodes of sexy, fun, healing story that I highly recommend

After 5 year-loveless relationship with his boyfriend, Hee Jae (Hee Yeon) seeks advice to her best friend Mi Na (Woo Hee) who is a serial one-night-stand girl. Although being an expert in achieving physical pleasure, she doesn't have any romance in her life. When they agreed to host a sex and romance advice podcast, the two get introspective and desperately want to change their lives.

It goes all the sexy way possible and really not for children. Don’t be too alarmed by first scene - it's not all sex and desire. The story is deep and it is so good! It is short and gets right to the point. Each episode tells so much about the characters. I love how the writers truly emphasize and understand female gaze. It carries the subject of healthy sex between couples and partners respectfully and showed that sex isn't anything to be ashamed of.

The friendship between Hee Jae and Mi Na hits me with all the feels. Their backstory were heartbreaking. It was lovely to see how the male leads become a part of their lives romantically but also sexually. The only thing I am feeling icky of is one tiny, annoying trope at the end that I'm so over with, but overall I am so impressed with this drama and wish that this drama has more acknowledgement, for how well it handles the topic.

Mind you, it had nudity, just like the title hit the spot because that's the way the story is set up. But these scenes are well placed and it felt like character-driven moments. They were done very beautifully. So, if you don't mind it, you should definitely check out this.

I have to say i was soooo disappointed with this movie, i'm Kang Ji Hwan fan so i thought it would be pretty good, but the truth is that it was Pathetic. Ill never watch it again.
The plot was taken from the English movie (Shallow Hall) and even though the English version wasn't good, They managed to do it even worse in korean..
Not recommended at all...

This movie is like a fun-sized bag of trail mix; it's great and has a variety of ingredients, but it is just too small and leaves you wanting more

PROS:
+ Well written plot that has both complexity as well as sound resolution
+ Great acting performances that add to the experience, especially during tense scenes
+ Powerful and moving score accompanies that action very well

CONS:
- Some aspects of the investigation are unnecessarily complicated
- It has a shorter run time, which makes certain details feel rushed over due to the fast pacing
- The conclusion (after past events that alter the future) is done in a soft and sappy way, rather than a more believably realistic way, which feels a little silly and loses some emotional impact

Yes! This one is great. It is a high recommendation, especially if you like time travel and non-linear plot progression.

WOW! I loved this drama so much! I was hooked from the first episode and couldn't wait to watch it all. Out of all the dramas I have seen so far this had the most solid story yet, there were no plot holes, no over the top cliches and kept me on the edge of my seat.

I was more of a thriller comedy with romance than anything else, but I'm still surprised how much I loved it. I loved the meta romance references too, and the writer making fun of all the drama cliches, like the back hug and the main character getting amnesia. I even liked the cut throat business conspiracy side of this drama too, even having me laugh out loud over some of the tactics.

I hadn't heard of these actors but they made a killing performance especially Jung Kyung Ho and Yoon Hyun Min. At the beginning Jung convinced me that Kang Min Ho was a complete jerk, even to the point he physically hurt women, he was an evil bastard for sure. Later on though, he completely changed the character and I was looking at a different Kang Min Ho and really put on a stellar performance with all his adorable characters quirks, leaving me wanting to see more. Although I wished he retained some of his jerkiness from earlier along with his old hairstyle. <3

Seriously Kang Min Ho is the best drama character I have come across, just watching him is addicting!

My only problem with this drama, and its a big one, is the female lead, Kim So Yeon. Throughout this drama she was as cold as ice, though she wasn't supposed to be. I found her performance completely underwhelming and emotionless. Although maybe it wasn't so much that Kim So Yeon is a bad actress, but that Jung Kyung Ho was amazing and completely outshone her...
I thought that slowly she'd start to melt and be sweet with Kang Min Ho but I kept waiting and waiting and it never happened. I understand she's supposed to be a mature and serious person, but honestly I wasn't feeling the love she had for Kang Min Ho at all. It really let down the whole drama in my opinion. It felt like Kang Min Ho had a one-sided relationship with an ice queen.

I also really liked the music, it wasn't over the top and it was refreshing to hear all the newest english songs whenever they were in cafes.

As for the rewatch value, I will definitely rewatch this drama at some point to see Jung Kyung Ho's performance again.

Honestly I would recommend this drama to everyone to watch. The story was amazing, the lead actor was amazing and it didn't have the seemingly obligatory meta cliches that korean dramas all have. WATCH THIS NOW

what is right? and what is wrong ?

the blood of youth is period drama set in a fictional era and is full of mystery and suspense.it is quite a heavey drama with a lot of characters, excellent production, interesting plot with wonderful cast. the story revolves mainly around xiao se(latter known to be as xiao chuhe/the 6th prince& yong an wang) a stinky villa owner and his friends lei wuji a teen in search for experiance in the martial arts world and ye anshi also known as wuxin a man in his late 20's with the ability to look into once thought and minds whom he meets on a trip to xuyue city. the drama tells the story of their adventures and backgrounds which are interconnected in messy web of deaths and betrayals. it also talks about family affairs of xiao chuhe who is the most talented son of the ruling emperor and is a prodigy who is now leaving under the identity of xiao se since he lost his martial arts. he decides to go back to xuyue city in order to take everything back that belongs to him where he meets many other teens talented broad minded and vibrant with a clean mind and supports the truth as well as will give their life for what they value the most.the story is abouth second chance, clear conscience and to dream big .

my negatives ;
1)the main love interest between xiao se and sikong qianluo (although it is a very light amount) is kind of annoying because they are both mature making the couple kind of weird where as i preferred xiao se to be with wuxin (since one is croocked while other is funny and one is mature and serious where the other is funny with a carefree nature)

Truly Beautiful and I need more of this couple!

This movie has made me once again love Philippines BL. Cause I stopped watching it and this movie is going to make me SLOWLY start to trust Philippines BL again (gonna be selective as h#ll, but still gonna try to watch them again).

Story-10/10
I am giving it a ten. Cause eventhough there is a character there that I believe should kick rocks, it still told us a story that was real and beautiful. It dealt with issues that I actually was not expecting and it was handled well.

Acting/Cast-10/10
Everyone was so perfect as thier characters (even the one that I believe should kick rocks, cause that character made me develop such a hatred towards them).

Music-10/10
The music fit the mood and was so beautiful and emotional and so heartbreaking.

Rewatch Valu-10/10
I am giving this a 10 cause yes, I would pay money AGAIN to watch this movie and cry like an idiot again.

Overall-10/10
I enjoyed this movie so much that as of right now, it has pivoted ro the top two BL's that I have watched so far in 2021. I would wholeheartedly recommend this movie to anyone, especially to someone who misses the characters of Gavreel and Cario.

Mixing genres = Identity crisis

Completed - 8/3/2022

I did not watch the webtoon, so I am unsure how true this drama is to its original content. However, reading the genres and tags, "Kiss Sixth Sense" is not what I was expecting. I thought this is a true romantic comedy with mature adults, maybe a little more mature version of "A Business Proposal" with a fantasy twist. What I ended up watching is comedy + romance + fantasy + suspense + crime. This results in the drama having an identity crisis and not doing any of the genre well.

This is really disappointing as I was looking forward to something light and fun, but with adults who look their age in the business world. The comedy in the initial episodes were a little over-the-top for my taste, but that's OK as I thought this is a comedy. The fantasy element is interesting and I am always a fan of fantasy romance drama. However, when they added the very-Korean childhood connection and trauma, and the half-baked suspense into a 12-episode drama, everything feels underdeveloped, rushed and disjointed.

I actually quite like the romantic chemistry between the leads. I am all for bickering couples who are secretly in love with each other. However, I still don't see when Fl starts to fall in love with ML, as she only wants to find out what the future holds. That's been such a big build up for many episodes about this future event FL sees with ML, but because those future scenes occur so often throughout 2/3 of the drama, it was quite anti-climatic when that significant event really happens. There's nothing the audience doesn't already know.

Acting is decent, though some scenes are quite cringey when the leads finally get together. ML seems to have changed to another person once he's in love. Where's that cool, calm and collected leader? Now we have a lovesick puppy vying for kisses whenever he can. There are scenes when he's kissed or kisses FL and he doesn't seem to be in pain. Whereas, other scenes he is pain even when FL is right beside him. Is that a plot hole that I detected? Or I am not understanding his condition?

The secondary romance between the cousin and the doctor is underwhelming. You can skip the whole thing and not miss a beat. Yes, the last 15 minutes are weird and unnecessarily long. I think I know where the scriptwriters are coming from, showing us a different kind of relationship. But, maybe they can reduce those scenes to 5 minutes instead.

Overall, it's an easy binge and if you have nothing to watch, this hodgepodge drama is OK. At least there are plenty of kisses (but not as many steamy kisses as I anticipated given the premise of the significant event).

It's a reality check.

And that how tears dropped from my eyes That is why people say read review before watching .
It's a worth watching short drama.
Even certain things are unclear ,i feel both the character's view , but i want to say these, minha needed some encouraging words from his bf ,when he said why are you being nice to me ,say it,I felt broken .And about the ending let's just hope no one's dead ( if you know what i mean.)? but thinking that too , there were moments were we see him giving up the urge to live .......
it's a short drama that's why many us of feel he's dead , there is exactly something we feel like 50- 50 chances of him being alive or dead.

loved it ....
