this ep was so cringe, it took me ages to get thought it ugh... but am glad that by the end Tiger confessed. about time - also love his relationship with his father & how the coming out was handled, no fuss - no discussion. just realization & then moving onto what was important. very cool - ******************************************************************************************************side note: have to point this out, idk why the hair stylist messes with First's hair. he ALWAYS got this goofy, long ass hair that looks like it's thinning out & it makes him look goofy, not cool or hot. which is a pity as i've seen him with shorter styled hair in reality & he looks so freakin good - so what gives?????

First ImpressionThis episode is jam packed: clever business ideas, gossip getting shut down, mysterious men, missing children, and a hilarious fake husband situation.đȘ·Episode ThoughtsEpisode 12 opens with Manager Yu once again proving sheâs incredibly business savvy. She suggests adding calligraphy to the FLâs meat packaging, which unexpectedly turns the ML into a bit of a local celebrity.đȘ·Suddenly ladies and even scholars are showing up just to admire and collect his beautiful calligraphy. Who knew the butcher shop would become the most cultured place in town?đȘ·We also get a very satisfying moment when the ex-fiancĂ©âs mother gets a well deserved verbal slap down. She simply cannot stop gossiping.đȘ·Unfortunately for her, the mysterious man overhears her talking badly and immediately orders someone to warn her about her behaviour.đȘ·Honestly⊠priceless.đȘ·Manager Yu then finds herself in real trouble when a drunk customer tries to attack her. Thankfully the mysterious man appears and rescues her.đȘ·But instead of relief, Manager Yu looks uneasy around him.đȘ·Which raises even more questions.đȘ·It looks like he could be the father of her son, but their relationship is clearly complicated. Manager Yu doesnât seem comfortable or safe around him.đȘ·The mention of the Princeâs Mansion also makes things even stranger. If the boy is connected to the prince, that would make him royal.đȘ·So who exactly is this man?đȘ·Meanwhile the little boy and the FLâs little sister quickly become friends while playing together. Their innocent fun quickly turns into panic when both children suddenly disappear.đȘ·Both Manager Yu and the FL are terrified.đȘ·Manager Yuâs reaction is particularly telling. Sheâs incredibly harsh with her son when theyâre looking for him, which shows just how deep her fear runs. Whatever happened in her past clearly left serious scars.đȘ·Elsewhere the MLâs quiet plotting begins to bear fruit when soldiers arrive looking to purchase grain. It seems the plans heâs been putting together are moving faster than expected.đȘ·The episode ends with a surprisingly funny moment.đȘ·Manager Yu admits sheâs afraid of the mysterious man and asks the FL if she can borrow her husband â the ML â to pretend to be her husband to help deal with the situation.đȘ·Honestly⊠I did not see that coming.đȘ·But Iâm definitely curious to see how that plays out.đȘ·Favourite MomentML unintentionally becoming popular because everyone wants his calligraphy.đȘ·Trope Check âą Business genius female characters âą Hidden identity mystery man âą Protective ML âą Missing children panic âą Fake husband trope âą Political intrigue building

They tried to wrap up the majority of it. As usual, the victims were the least recompensed and the perpetrators held accountable for violations of their jobs not for harming children. The detective took the biggest hit and now divorce papers arenât accepted. He has been hero and scapegoat most in this drama. Compared to the other episodes, I found this one the most lackluster tho probably the most real. It still shows that survival is the most victims can hope for with SA crimes. It is pretty clear that BTJ is still out there with his new golden ticket VVIPS special invitations. If there is a season 2 I am not sure I will watch. This drama very intensely brought to the fore social ills we all feel somewhat resigned that no true justice exists for. I am not sure I want a round two of watching the rich and powerful continue to get their way.

Seeing Xie Zheng and Qi Min in one frame is really bad for my health hhhh. I can't breath. They are literally breathtaking. When Xie Zheng broke the choopstick and throw it to Qi Min's guard alone is already made me shiver. And lastly we got a warm New year eve. Love how director shoot this scene. It's so warm

This eps is so hillarious. Never thought we got the scene when Xie Zheng helping Changyu selling her braised pork only by his face is funnier than the novel lolLove Linghe and Xiwei to potray this scene lol hahahaha

This show surprises me more and more with every episode. I love the games everyone is playing, the pieces being moved, the lies being fed, and all the backstabbing. This episode was beautiful in many ways, especially watching how deeply in love Chang Yu and Yan Zheng are. The preparation for the New Year was so heartwarming. It was so nice to see Zheng agree to write blessings for the whole villageâincluding Granny Keng! Even though he stated before that he doesnât do things on demand, only when he wants to, he did it for them.If I understood correctly, is Qi Min a former Crown Prince of Changzhou? Was he the prince who was caught in the fire with the Marquisâs father? That would definitely explain the possible scars! I have to sayâif Qi Min and the Marquis of Wuâan team up, I am so for it! They could be the "baddest of the bad" on the battlefield. Thatâs exactly what I want to see from freedom fighters: going all-in against the enemy. The only concern now is making sure Qi Min doesn't betray our Zheng.I cannot wait for the next episode and many more after that. I need to see what happens next!

Shin Jae is definitely on the razorâs edge trying to keep everybody alive and appease BTJ. The levels of manipulation by BTJ seem fathomless. Unfortunately once again a careless mistake tips him off. I have no idea why she didnât use a rental car instead of letting him find her license plate number on camera announcing the big rescue. đđThis seems like a rookie mistake when she has a much better idea of what sheâs up against. BTJ sees himself as the savior of a systemic failure in justice and political offices that cater to the amoral elite by exposing them and weeding them out. The detective is the only character I feel sympathy for. This episode he accepts that his wife most wanted to cut her losses and did not even consider reconciliation as an option. Thatâs all he needed to know. The daughter finds herself in a hospital bed once again betrayed by someone she trusted. This is where Shin Jae is trying to walk the thin line to rescue her, but he is tipped off by her plate and she is unconscious in a server room with him threatening to cut off air supply if Ra Yeong says anything. The demo is just about to start. Once again this drama is very successful in keeping the tension high.

Yes, the new year couplets scenes, very beautiful and serene yet feels very sad for both of them. One have to leave anyway and one knows that the day is coming but can't help for falling deeper. And I wish all the wars over.

Very Qianqian-centric episode! We finally got to learn more about her past. I am not sure yet if the grey-haired man, Qi Min, is the one she's been hiding from, but she feels like she knows him and has those nightmares where he's in a mask. She said he had a different voice and a scarred face back then... so I wonder, maybe some magical medicine cured the man? He seems very possessive of her, obsessed even. Not sure if that can be called love, but we'll see. He has such a scary aura and a chilling way of talking. Also, it looks like he's sick, coughing from time to timeâI wonder if he coughs blood? It wasn't really shown yet.But I loved how he dealt with the drunkard Mr. Wu and that gossiper Mrs. Sang! They both deserved every bit of that and much more for everything they did.Ning and Bao Er were so cute together! I really loved the part when the kids ran from room to roomâthe camera work was amazing there. I was so scared for them when Qi Min heard that noise while they were hiding in the chest... omg, I prayed they would be fine! Thanks to that random man who accidentally pushed the lantern, they were. Phew... Zheng found them in the most adorable "sleep-together" afterward. :)Chang Yu's jealousy bits were perfect! Let's see how she'll act when her husband pretends to be Qianqian's husband. That is, if he agrees...

This episode was amazing! My favorite episode so far. We get to see Qin open up to Duang and even hug him. I loved how Duang took care of Qin and his injury. He is very sweet. Every time Qin said he was "hungry" I have a feeling he was hungry for something else. We also see a different side of Qin on stage. We see his fears and more of his backstory. The ending of the episode had me in a frenzy. The words, "good boy" and "come on" made me feel so many things. I was screaming watching the kiss scene going straight to calling Duang a "good boy". When I heard that I was kicking my feet and couldn't think straight. My mind got the best dopamine boost. I had the biggest smile on my face and I was cheesing so much. When Qin dragged Duang by the shirt to his bedroom felt so intense. I could feel the gates of heaven open up for me. Qin unbuttoning his shirt made me scream in my head. I have never screamed this way. The camera on his body when he was taking of his shirt was everything. His tiny snatched hour glass waist and soft pale skin. The way he looked at the camera and said, "come on". If Duang doesn't run to him, I will. I haven't felt this surge of dopamine in a while. Nothing can ruin my mood after watching that for atleast 2 more days. I am obsessed over this. I need episode 7 right now. Waiting for the new episode feels like torture. This is all for now.

Here we see how BTJ ties into the first list that was buried by Shin Jaeâs mom. He then created connect to entrap them all but had no qualms sacrificing innocents to be used as first line of bait. There are no words for how despicable this person is in his quest of the ends justifying the means approach. The daughter has video footage of what actually happened when the prosecutor was killed. She aligned herself with BTJ to get revenge on the parents that deserted her and the abuse she suffered as a result. What is unclear is where the prosecutorâs other daughter is. The judge has been changed and all the top tier abusers are convinced they have everything covered to continue with their criminal activity while appearing to dispense justice. Many commenters were offended by Hyeon Jin cheating on the detective with the reporter. The drama presented consequences by having her lose the baby and choosing to end her marriage. The detective continues to be shortchanged for simply being a good guy and is forced to deal with betrayal from both partners, at work and at home. The evidence clearing Ra Yeong was provided with the understanding that Shin Jae would join BTJ in exposing the top tier culprits. To do this she will have to become as despicable as he is in a relentless unwavering course of the ends justifying the means no matter the fallout or collateral damage of innocents. To save her friend she has agreed knowing that the price is their friendship. BTJ is truly the mastermind of their Machiavellian club and it is frightening where this path will take Shin Jae partnering with him.

The story circles back to its origins in this tense episode. The minor victims are the only innocent parties here as all the gray characters continue to swirl around their web of machinations. Right when progress seems to be made for the victims, another level of deceit surfaces. This drama is very successful at creating suspense and the shock of the three recreating their original crime in real time is caught on video by the daughter Ra Yeong put up for adoption. She is all about revenge and there is no concern for collateral damage.

Episode 13 started with pure comedy gold and honestly I was laughing way harder than expected. Chang Yu asking Xie Zheng to pretend to be Yu Qian Qianâs husband just to scare Qi Min away was already hilarious, but her sparkly little âshe paid me 30 taelsâ explanation took it to another level. Xie Zhengâs face when he realized his own wife basically rented him out had me cackling. The disbelief, the silent suffering, the whole âdid my wife just sell me?â energy was priceless. Uncle and Madam Zhao standing there like an audience enjoying the drama only made it better. Of course, our dear Marquis Wuâan didnât agree just out of kindness. Xie Zheng definitely had his own agenda regarding Qi Min, and their first proper encounter did not disappoint. The moment Qi Min saw him, he immediately knew this was Xie Zheng, and suddenly the atmosphere turned from comedy to two dangerously handsome men measuring each other up. Honestly it felt like a visual duel. Two hot men, one tea table, and a whole lot of silent calculations. The conversation was short but intense. Xie Zheng looked calm, charismatic, and completely in control while Qi Min was clearly trying to process the situation in real time. After that meeting, Qi Min wisely stayed away from Yu Qian Qianâs restaurant and only sent someone to keep watch, choosing instead to focus on persuading Xie Zheng to work with him. This side of Qi Min is actually quite interesting because he seems less like a lovesick obsessive and more like a politically driven strategist. Dare I say he even seems reasonable right now? Maybe Iâm being fooled, but Iâm definitely curious to learn more about him. The rest of the episode gave us plenty of fluffy Xie Zheng and Chang Yu moments and my heart was eating it up like comfort food. Watching Xie Zheng patiently teach Chang Ning how to write while Chang Yu looked on with that soft, warm expression was such a wholesome moment. You can really feel how much happiness this little family brings her. And then we have the mighty and ruthless Marquis Wuâan casually writing Chinese New Year couplets for the entire neighborhood just to make Chang Yu proud. Sir really said âfearsome war hero by day, community calligraphy volunteer by night.â It was adorable. But then the ending came in like the ultimate joykill. Chang Yu gathered all her courage to say she wanted to consummate their marriage and maybe even make a baby, but fireworks interrupted the moment before she could get the words out. So what does she do? She drinks for courage. Naturally she gets drunk instead, tries to kiss Xie Zheng, and just when their lips are about to meet... the episode ends. Ends! Right there! I was screaming internally. This is emotional damage. I needed that kiss and now I have to wait another day? The drama really said patience is a virtue, but my patience is hanging by a thread.

Episode 12 is packed with cute chaos, a sprinkle of mystery, and visuals that might as well come with a warning label because Zhang Ling He is once again dangerously handsome. One of the first highlights has to be Xie Zheng unintentionally turning the Fan family meat shop into the hottest spot in town. The man was simply selling meat yet somehow managed to gather a crowd of fangirls eager to buy anything as long as he served them personally. Honestly, girls, I relate. Chang Yuâs reaction watching all these women line up for her husband was priceless and Tian Xi Wei absolutely nailed every expression. Her face alone could carry a comedy scene and she looked ridiculously pretty while doing it. As for Zhang Ling He, he continues to serve visuals like it is part of his job description. I dare say Xie Zheng might be his most handsome costume drama role so far. Then comes the sugar rush of the episode with Chang Ning and Yu Qian Qianâs son, Yu Bao Er. Their first meeting quickly turned into a full blown kid adventure around the restaurant as they ran around playing hide and seek like two tiny tornadoes. The cutest moment arrives when they hide inside a chest to avoid Qi Min and end up falling asleep, with Chang Ning sleeping comfortably in Yu Bao Erâs arms. My heart practically did a little somersault. I cannot help but wonder if the writers are planting tiny seeds for a future connection between them, though the family titles might become a bit of a brain teaser since Yu Qian Qian is Chang Yuâs friend. Will Chang Ning call her older sister or mother in law someday? Perhaps that is exactly why the drama cleverly has Chang Ning call her Lady Fairy instead. Speaking of heart melting moments, the scene where the three of them walk home from the restaurant deserves its own round of applause. Chang Ning says she is sleepy, Chang Yu casually tells Xie Zheng that her sister is tired, and our man immediately gets the hint and carries her. It was cute on so many levels. The Fan siblings finally have a little family dynamic going on and someone they can rely on. Chang Ning now has a protective big brother figure and Chang Yu has someone who shares the burden with her. Also, Zhang Ling He carrying a small child is basically a cheat code for instant cuteness. But the episode is not just sweetness and comedy. We also get a fascinating glimpse into the mysterious connection between Yu Qian Qian and Qi Min. At first it seems strange that Yu Qian Qian does not recognize him at all, but it turns out the Qi Min she once knew always wore a mask, and the man from her past apparently had a scar and a different voice. Clearly there is a complicated history waiting to explode and I am very curious to see what really happened between them. Deng Kai continues to be the most charming walking red flag in the drama. As Qi Min he feels ruthless, obsessive, borderline psychotic, and extremely possessive of Yu Qian Qian, which explains why she is constantly fearful and protective of both herself and her son. Yet somehow Deng Kai brings this undeniable allure to the role. It is that classic bad boy charm that makes you shake your head at yourself while still being intrigued by the villain. Toxic? Absolutely. Entertaining? Also absolutely. I am both nervous and excited to see how his obsessive dynamic with Yu Qian Qian unfolds because this relationship is clearly sitting on a powder keg.
