KJ2025 Fu is entrenched by young emperor and is showing his displeasure by interrupting every question he asks Chen. When he finally gets miffed enough to exit, Chen is told why he was really invited. This young man is very damn smart and while I feared him keeping Fu close, he is going with keeping his enemies closer. He knows Fu wants to kill off the Marquis and family so he appoints Chen with the job of saving them. JinZhao and Ye Xian’s sister are talking and this is where the sis finds out YeXian never told JinZhao the extent of his feelings. I am sure he planned that with his jewelry gift for their meeting originally planned for the next day. QingLan thought she had the upper hand telling YeXian about JinZhao’s engagement. She had no idea the tempest she released in him with those words. The actor gave a stellar performance in his shock, grief and then rage over the news of JinZhao’s engagement. His drawing of sword in that setting against his own family and JinZhao is his default poor display of temper. He still needs to rein that in or it will be the death of him. Serendipity has YeXian and Chen collide and Chen masterfully shuts down his attacks and calms him down. He says loudly that it would be too damaging for them to fight over a woman, while he quietly tells him Fu’s plans and how to counter them. No matter what he does his dad cannot give one positive word to Ye Xian. Your heart hurts for him as he keeps getting slammed from every side. JinZhao cares for him like a close friend and brother which is why she felt he needed to learn her news directly from her. But things didn’t turn out that way. She has pleaded to Chen if Xian can be saved and he said yes but it would involve hurting her. QingLan is downing wine pitchers with Chen’s sister and forbidding her to be friends with JinZhao. Ms Chen isn’t worried because they will be sisters in law which is better than friendship. QingLan agrees with his drawing sword tactic. They truly are a good pair. QingLan thinks she has ordered JinZhao to talk to Chen. JinZhao is confused at her hostility but doesn’t have time to dwell on it. Her aunt Ye is being pounced on by the Gu women to the point she said give her a divorce. Waiting to see the outcome of that. Distancing herself from the Gu’s is not a bad thing. She knows it won’t jeopardize her friendship with JinZhao because in spite of her name, she will always consider herself a Ji. Fu and Wang are trying to include Chen in their noose. If Chen doesn’t deal harshly with the Marquis he reveals his real intentions. I truly despise all these old schemers that hide from punishment and inflict grief on the people and any official in their way. 😡🤬Chen is promised his position if he closes the case while they still strategize how to get rid of Chen. Fu’s goal is to wipe out the Ye family. Chen has broadcasted loudly the attempt on his life by Ye Xian so he will have reason to look biased in judgment. He knows what Fu expects thus the confession. What I wonder is if this is the price for the Marquis to save his family and assuage Fu’s desired vengeance. Can the young emperor intervene with a signed confession? Not a good place to stop.

TRIGONOMETRY I really loved the plot where the main leads discover the true nature of the second leads. At first, both of them thought the Queen Mother was evil and was plotting against them. But later discovered that she was not evil but greedy. At the same time, they considered the Prime Minister trustworthy. Neither of them suspected him when the contract was exposed. They trusted him so much. But in the end, all their assumptions were contrary to reality.

The first part of the episode entertained me in the best way possible! Bong-Hwan realising with whom So-Yong had spent the night—and even enjoyed it—caused all sorts of mixed feelings, misunderstandings, and a game of cat and mouse, leading up to a very honest conversation by the lake. 😂🤗Cheol-Jong confessed his feelings to So-Yong, and to no surprise, the reasons why he liked her were mostly Bong-Hwan's personality. I don't know how the story will end on this matter because, at this point, Bong-Hwan's character growth is very noticeable. I think he is becoming very used to So-Yong's body and being a woman, even if he denies it at every possibility—including using that as a reason and a shield to reject Cheol-Jong's feelings. 🤔💔The second part of the episode was darker. Our villains attempted to poison So-Yong, but little Dam-hyang interfered and saved her by throwing a stone at the bowl. Everything that followed left me tense and worried about the little court lady. She was arrested for reasons only villains could think were justified, then imprisoned, and sentenced to death by poison... A five-year-old girl! 😤😯The last few minutes of the episode made me question many things, but it was the King's smart play, yet again! After a very heated argument between him and the Queen, standing next to the girl's body in the middle of the courtyard with everyone watching, the King turned away and walked off... But then the Queen noticed he was holding his fingers crossed behind his back as a sign that he was lying—something he had learned from his wife's "language" and never forgot. 🤞✨ What a relief! I can breathe now and move on to the next episode. 😮💨🙌

Wan Peng is hilarious. Her comedic talents are a total surprise. I was not expecting just how good she is with physical comedy. Not the fall-down-stupidly type of comedy either. Shey uses nuance and quiet motion brilliantly. Just the way the moves around a scene even when other characters are talking and _should_ be the focus., you can't take your eyes off her She's a total scene stealer.

While the prior episode was about quiet, dramatic tension followed by sweet romance, this episode was cold calculation leading to dramatic violence followed by romantic collapse. I know some viewers might rate this lower because of the romantic 'downer' of an ending, but the overall quality of the episode cannot be denied. It's also, unfortunately, a simple inevitable trope that in c-dramas, the writers will contrive to separate the lead couple right about now, with just a few episodes remaining. So I wasn't really surprised by the ending. It just kicks off the final arc which will have the two climbing inevitably back together.

viola For both his past and present versions! I liked how we got a little more backstory on Se-gye, and once again his chemistry with Seo-ri is excellent. They are so funny together. It's the classic asshole trying to come to terms with feeling real human emotions for someone he should dislike on principle, except he can't for some reason, which is a trope that I'll always enjoy when it's done well and My Royal Nemesis is doing just that. I do enjoy sageuk very much, so I'm into the brief snippets of Consort Kang's past as well. I'm also enjoying Jang Seung Jo in this role. I was wondering if he'd just play a sort of two-faced hypocrite to our two main leads the whole drama through, so I was pleasantly surprised when he dropped his facade with Se-gye and spoke to him so aggressively. It's a pretty good way of portraying their dynamic: that not only does Mun-do try and manipulate everyone around him, he also doesn't see the need to put up that false front with Se-gye, which means he is someone he thinks very little of. (And yet, is clearly still threatened by, which I think Se-gye knows too.) They have excellent chemistry together as well, so I'm looking forward to more of their scenes together.I'm intrigued by the pivot into entertainment/Consort Kang deciding to become an actress to respect the prior owner of her current body, aka Seo-ri. I suppose it's a good way for the story to try and address the age old "what happens to the previous soul when the transmigrator takes over", by having the original owner hover over the narrative. It also gives more meaning to Consort Kang's motivations, besides just trying to find a new life to live. Our Consort Kang / Shin Seo-ri's enemy is in the past, while Se-gye's is very much in the present. So far, Seo-ri is trying to overcome just about everything: her new circumstances means that the world itself is her opponent to be conquered. She has people she's wary of, but no real enemies as of now. I'm very excited to see how that changes in the future and how her and Se-gye ally (or not!) with one another to fight back.

I loved this episode, the whole romance and how she had to work for it more than the first romantic encounter. Also I enjoyed how it helped her heal the leftover feelings that she still had from her relationship with Se-June. I also enjoyed the flashbacks and the way the filming was done to help further enhance the comparison between the two relationships.

What an episode. No exciting martial arts battles this time, but wow, some very high stakes quiet tension as Li Pei Yi puts her life on the line, coming to the brink of death while her colleagues and Xiao Huaijin work desperately to save her. The clock ticks relentlessly and the obstacles are subtle but seemingly insurmountable. But the episode isn't just about the race to save Peiyi's life. It also features a romantic arc as she and Hauijin are finally officially engaged for marriage and the episode features some sweet romantic moments and a very passionate kiss!

ReareShootingstar was i a fan of how quickly pink panther was forgiven ? no. am i about to dictate and decide on when a charcter can and should forgive another ? no. but i just feel like there is still quite a bit of betrayal going on aor had gone on. also i dont reallz appreciate them using the dead mother trope for a now 3rd time /4th if u count ma li (devilfish). also the fact that pink panthers story is exactly like the client xiaoyue had to protect in a former episode. this does not only make it feel uncreative. it feels very lazy.also i really did not like how panther not only accused the others of being 'FAKE', but also then proceeds to project on to them. i feel as if she was projecting , what she would have done in their positions, thus further showing her morales and character. now i get that she is in a extremely highly emotional situation, there should be a bit grace shown towards her. yet the tumor doesn't as far as we know directly influence her decision making and thinking (mostlz her sight ) . does it excuse her also throwing li juang under the bus and hide evidence and actively hinder missions by that?so might it seem like i hate pink panther? myb. do i act hate her? a clear no. i just heavily dislike her character , and what seemed like a wasted promising character growth (that i was looking forward to) in the beginning episodes and how that has been ignored and not really evolved. her character has not really grown or changed really in the last , i want to say 30 episodes... as she is one of the mc's or atleast more focused upon characters we'd expect more.also not a big fan of how for the last what 3-6 ? ep's firewolf and whitesharks everz second convo feels the same.(not moving forward due to firewolfs ? unsureness?conflicting emotions? and white sharks pining and stuborness. if it wasn't clearly shown that it was mutual, i would be horrified by the amount of times a clear communication (we can't be together,no,we'll never be ) was ignored and bz the way he insistenty keeps trying.

The story is starting to really finally build out the emotional stakes for Li Pei Yi (and also, to a lesser extent, Xiao Huaijin) by fleshing out her back story. This is the first time we get a real look (through flashback) at her Mother and Father and it was cool to realize they are being played by the great veteran actors Ma Xiao Qian and Geng Le, respectively. Li Pei Yi's "forced" return to confinement in her ancestral family home feels like a calculated move on both her part and the Emperor's. Yes, it confines her. And yes, by putting her outside the palace, it makes her a possibly easy target for the villains. But it also serves to bring a seed of new life in the ancient manor and it also presents opportunities to lure the villains into making a mistake. I feel like the Emperor did exactly what Li Pei Yi wanted him to do by confining her there.On a side note, I'm really loving the side-couple of Wu Ren and Gu Ling Zhou.

ugh first time reviewing one of hot girls episodes, but that just speaks to how freaking annoyed I'm with pink panther! Like we knew from the beginning ,by the way she was recruited by Wang fu, that she had ulterior motives,but the last two ep's really showed how horrible,she actually is. not only is she withholding information on rock and is a planted agent,but she is also a horrible friend. Especially Since she has been a friend of xiaoyue's since before the plot started and her "being friends with the others can be pushed to her acting as a planted traitor"... And besides her honestly disturbing level of obsession and stalking she did on white shark, she is so twisted in her mind that she is now blaming him on not reciprocating her feelings, although he did try multiple times and telling her over multiple episodes as to how hung up he is on firewood???? Like arghhhh. I can't , also li jiangs obsessiveness wws there again and I def did not like it as I did from the start of the drama... Honestly if they push pink panthers f'ed up behaviour to her having cancer I will loose it.... Also I do not fully like guan, like I knew from the moment he didn't tell xiaoyue, that he was the one who recommended her to the camp, that there were gonna be wayy more secrets. And this ep proved it. Hiding the truth ,just so that a child hates her father bc. He himself hated him???? Like urghh and also in general ,in my eyes it's very two faced of him to have told xiaoyue all those ,somewhat lies and that they'd been in contact,and then act so different towards the man in question in person. Like ???? Why are u being so amicable/friendly, dare I say respectfully to a person u hate?
