Awww
Really cute - very simple story but I liked how they delivered it. There was a lull at the beginning, there's really no drama or anything at stake, the cinematography, the place and characters really are the highlight. Which is what the story is about anyway. It's like going on Google maps and zooming in to a specific place, this is what the story feels like.Just exploring and witnessing how someone else lives and their experiences. I had it playing in the background, not totally focused on it since there wasn't much going on at first. Although not such a bad thing because it was relaxing having it in the background then there was a point I began to enjoy and be engrossed in it.
I loved the last part so much, because we got to see the ML's perspective and that really added depth to the story. I had a different perspective of Gong Myung here, I feel like he got to show more depth somehow. I loved his crying scene in the hospital.
Both leads played their roles really well. I enjoyed watching them and Eun Soo is so natural. I especially loved how she acted out her emotions when they met again and how that little whimper she did. Such a tiny thing but it really conveyed a lot.
The timing it was set on didn't really make much difference other than add a nostalgic effect to the story which worked really well. It made it feel like a love stuck in time, in a good way. With the ML's background, Se Ri, her friends and Busan were made to feel like a safe, peaceful haven.
Anyway I enjoyed it more than I thought and glad I finished it with my attention span these days đâ€ïž Oh, and the cameos were cute!

To be young and in love in the late 90s
I just love youth love stories set in the 90s/early 2000s so much. Something about the nostalgic music, the pagers, the comic books and tape cassettes always tugs something in my heart.I loved this. It was funny and nothing too complex, but sometimes that is more than enough. The friendship and portrayal of first love were the highlights, and the cast was great. I almost forgot that Gong Myung is in his thirties now. He is such a natural with that face and the acting. I have loved Shin Eun Soo since Twinkling Watermelon, and it was as if she and Ha Yi Chan swapped roles. She was so chaotic here in comparison to Twinkling Watermelon, and it just shows her range and versatility as an actress. Can't wait to see more of her. And my dearest So I from Single's Inferno, she's such a great actress, and it's so good to see her in more and more support roles. I hope she can get even bigger roles; she's so refreshing to watch on screen.
If you loved the nostalgic vibes from 2521 and Twinkling Watermelon, this is for you.

Having a social life and friends can save your life.
And with that I am convinced leads from this movie had none. I cannot believe theyâve been gone for days without anyone having any contact with them. Not one person who was concerned? All it would take was one person, itâs not like they were on some secret mission. People knew where they were seen the last time. They would be found on day 3 if just one person cared.Putting the mindless set up aside, it was both decent and bad at the same time. I actually really like the idea of a person being trapped in a place with no contact and no way out. If just the execution was better. It would make the movie more tense and less frustrating.
The performances were fine. The production was fine. The pacing was fine. Nothing really stood out, be it positively nor negatively. The beast was not beasting a lot, mostly chilling in the corner. I donât think the âno animal was hurt during filmingâ note at the beginning was necessary, since it was clearly visible when the dog was fake and when it was real.
Overall, Iâm not mad about how bad it was, I was more bored. When I think about the plot of this movie, it is scary. But when I actually watched it, I felt nothing, but mild frustration.

Predictable plot
Movie is good but most of the plot is predictable. No suspense, no heart pounding moment. just a simple story. If they keep little suspense untill end then the movie became great. but according to my view full story is normal. you can tell already what is going to happen in next scene.( i think story was written by a newbie writer ,who just start to write ).
But i love the one thing in the movie as a message given in the movie" love yourself as you are." ML and FL had great chemistry too.

LOVE UNTANGLED
So...basically I was veryyy excited to see the movie because Cha Woomin was playing in it(he is one of my fav actors) but I would have wished that they shown his feelings for her, because I dont know if he didnt like her or like her.I liked that her boyfriend loved her smile but I think he deserves mooooree screentime, he even helped her getting together with her crush.
In the end, it was a big Suprise for me that Gong yo showed up. That was sooo random.
anyways this is just my opinion, it was a good movie but I wouldnt want to watch it again.

Just be yourself Korean *Mia Thermopolis!
If you're interested in this movie, this is how I can describe it in one sentence!Don't expect some overcomplicated love drama or storyline, this is like any other coming of age movie with good writing and a feelgood vibe without any big problems. If I have to compare it to something, I'd say, this was like (LITTLE SPOILER INCOMING!!!) the "20th Century Girl" with Happy Ending.
The movie doesn't offer much, except a likable group of friends and a supporting family. I really liked the dynamic between Seri and her father! Everyone were great, and even tho the movie is 2 hours long, it was enough to develop their journey properly and see how close they are. They really did go for 100 miles for each other, and that was refreshing to see.
The chemistry between the cast is top-notch, Shin Eunsoo and Gong Myung didn't have a hard time to sell their romance, and the rest of the crew were on par as well.
"Love Untangled" doesn't go deep into their lives, especially Yunseok's side story with his dad, but I didn't feel we needed more, because that wasn't really the point of the movie, and I'm glad they emphasized that he knew everything about the message that Seri left, because it was weird at first, so props to the writer for not ignore it.
Overall: It's predictable plot, but we don't love these type of movies, because the story is complex, it's pure fun, especially if you're a 90s kid.
Lastly:
*How many of you understood the reference? It's from "The Princess Diaries" movie, because I feel like this was kinda similar to that, except, Seri is not a royal blood.

Not exactly terrible but not mind blowingly good either
I mean, I can name 10 other movies with the exact same or similar plot that are far better than this one. It starts off as a silly, goofy, feel good coming of age story but takes a slightly dark turn in the last quarter. Overall, it's pretty light hearted. Like I said, it's not bad but other people have made similar movies and theirs are just more enjoyable than this one. I only watched this because I had nothing better to do and I'm pretty sure it's the same for many other viewers. At least this movie introduced me to a few cool songs. Was this review helpful to you?

SIMPLE YET SWEET 90s ROMANCE
It is sweet and nostalgic teen romance set in 1990's Busan. It follows Se Ri, a girl who thinks her curly hair is stopping her from confessing to her crush. But when a new student, Yoon Seok gets involved in her plan, she discovers more about love and herself. The movie shines with 90s vibe, warm atmosphere, and natural chemistry between the leads. It captures the innocence of first love and delivers a touching message about self acceptance.
Still, the story is a bit predictable, and the idea of treating curly hair as a problem can feel uncomfortable, especially to modern audience. It's forgivable in context since it's set in the 90s, still worth watching.
Overall, it's a light and a heartwarming watch. It's a kind of movie you can rewatch whenever you want to feel cozy, relaxed, and a bit nostalgic.

Ordinary but cute
There isn't anything special about the plot other than the female having curly hair and wanting to straighten it. The rest of the plot is quite a basic high school romance.Though I loved all the lead actors, it would have been better if a more age appropriate lead was picked to play a high schooler. Gong Myung did look aged opposite to Shin Eun Soo. Acting wise everyone did a great job.
Overall, I enjoyed the movie. It was cute but there's nothing exceptional about it sadly.

YOUTH
A film making us reminisce, and feel the times of youth. Crushes. First loves. Fighting your insecurities. Gaining self-confidence. Being you.Shin Eun Soo is the star. She portrayed Park Se Ri as someone the general teenagers go through during the adolescence phase of their lives.
It was also nice seeing the Gong Yoo x Jung Yumi tandem again. I miss seeing them both in screen.
Sometimes, a simple and fluff film is all we need.

Fool's gold
*sigh* this movie had potential. I'm pretty over the Sacrificial Young Maiden trope by now â especially after having watched Damsel (the big Hollywood production with Millie Bobby Brown) earlier in the year, and now the The Bride. It's such a tired clichĂ©, so if you're going to do it, you better do it perfectly. The Bride does not.The story as a whole is a struggle. The mystery in the plotline isn't really a mystery. The twist in the middle is predictable. And the ending feels flat. Yet there were instances, particularly after the little plot twist, where I saw gleams of curious concepts at play.
For example, there were moments where the relationship between the protagonist and the spiritual world seemed interesting and complex. But each time it looked like there might be something more to unravel, the story immediately plateaued. And the moments were, well, merely moments.
The Bride does get brownie points for costume design. But otherwise, the VFX wavered between impressive and laughable, the acting was oftentimes wooden, and the narrative structure was erratic. This is one to torrent, don't pay to see this in the cinema like I did.

A refreshing take on teenage insecurities....
"Love Untangled" isn't just another teen rom-com; it's a vibrant exploration of self-acceptance. The film centers on a teenager grappling with insecurities about her naturally curly hair, embarking on a quest for the "perfect" look to win over her crush. However, this journey transcends a simple confession; it's a poignant exploration of embracing imperfections. The film beautifully illustrates the struggle to overcome insecurities and recognize that what we perceive as flaws can be our most beautiful attributes.
The movie's strength lies in its relatable portrayal of teenage anxieties, offering a heartwarming narrative of growth and self-discovery. The protagonist's evolution, set against a backdrop of strong friendships, resonates deeply.
Shin Eunsoo shines in the lead role, her energetic and bubbly personality perfectly capturing the character's journey.
"Love Untangled" skillfully blends nostalgia with a modern perspective, offering a delightful watch that celebrates individuality. It's a testament to the power of self-love and the beauty of embracing one's true self. This film is a must-see for anyone who has ever questioned their worth.
