The funniest horror movie I've watched
Oh my god this was hilarious even without comedy being one of the genres, because it was so bad! Towards the end I was in full on tears from laughing because what happened there?Let's start with the positives, because the horror - was horrifying. Lots of jumpscares, a decent amount of gore, I'd say it was better than movie two as far as the scare factor goes.
Another thing which I've always appreciated about this series is the emotional bondage to the characters - which, once again, they nailed. Good on them, because if they hadn't done this properly, the movie would have literally no redeeming factor. The family and their extended family is what keeps the plot interesting even when it isn't.
Because the plot, wow, the plot - if the last part was two movies in one, this was like 10 in one. So much happening! Seriously, I was clutching my stomach reeling from laughter the more I watch, it wasn't even scary after that. Just for reference, the first film worked because it was set in a single location and focused entirely on their family, not despite. Granted, there was more interaction between the siblings in this one than the last, it was still not enough. You don't have to go on adventures every other movie to make things interesting.
One minute they're at home, the next a forest, abandoned village, horror cave, I don't get it. There are so many new "one-and-done" characters who add nothing to the plot, and the explanation I've been craving for three movies was laughable. Lady is out here haunting because she hates love?
The story was so incredibly weak, I couldn't explain how all over the place it was even if I tried. It's not a terrible movie by any means but watching the last two has given me newfound appreciation for part one. If you must watch for continuity purposes, you can do it, but I'm sure there are other scarier and more coherent horror movies you can watch. I've learned that horror movies are never completely logical or coherent, but I've got to say, there's definitely got to be ones better than this.

nothing new but still a beautiful watch
Well… I knew Cho Young-woo wouldn’t disappoint in this role. I mean this is what he does best. 🥺Although the plot isn’t anything new. And I’ve seen this before (forever traumatized by 20th century girl). 💔 This was a beautiful story. With beautiful cinematography and a precious soundtrack.
To me I wish we all live more like Seo Yun treasuring every moment. And hopefully we spend our days with someone like Jae Won making our days shine a little brighter.
3.7/5 for me. 5/5 for tears though.😭

"In my boring life a chance for adventure has arrived"
There are some films that resonant not because of extraordinary acting or a compelling story, but rather the way the director wields his brush and paints a film alive with deft and mysterious strokes. Such was Labyrinth of Dreams for me.Tomiko is jarred when her friend Tsuyako, a bus conductor like herself, is killed in a tragic accident. Tomiko and her other friend, Chieko, do not believe it was an accident. Rumor of a bus driver who is a serial killer has been making the rounds for some time. When he tires of a conductor romantically, he kills her, making it look like an accident. When Niitaka Tatsuo is hired at Tomiko’s bus line, Tomiko becomes determined to avenge her friend. The only problem is…she falls in love with the handsome, and possibly deadly driver.
The movie was filmed in black and white and based on a story written in the early 1930s. Due to the clothes, hairstyles, and bus model, the setting was ambiguous, but suffice to say it was set in the days of yore. Much of the “dialogue” was in letter writing form between Tomiko and Chieko and prior to her death between Tsuyako and Tomiko. A young Asano Tadanobu played the enigmatic Tatsuo. A man of few words he was served up as a sizzling sexy entre with a side order of menacing eyes. Seventeen-year-old Komine Rena wasn’t as strong in the acting department but did her best as the bored conductor who had a sexual awakening in the dangerous arms of Tatsuo. As Tomiko said, “Life was miserable and lonely. I wrestled with fate until the end.”
Director Ishii Gakuryu created a gauzy dreamlike film often obscuring the audience’s view with darkness, rain, clouds, even forest leaves. Blurred frames swirled the changes of scenes. The film was filled with symbolism. Battered moths struggled to free themselves from a vase or were attracted to a hot light impotently bashing their wings against it. There was little music and what there was of it was simple. Most often the natural sounds of rain, wind, or surf filled in for the lack of score. Several times complete silence or a blank screen were used to jar the viewer. Ishii kept the audience guessing whether Tatsuo was a cold-blooded killer or a figment of an overactive imagination.
Labyrinth of Dreams was an odd story of love, lust, and the intoxication of danger. Dreamily shot, the monochrome format only added to the mystery and claustrophobic atmosphere. This art house film will not be for the broader audience, but if you enjoy a film that is more experience than narrative it might be one to try. I’ll be looking for more of Ishii’s films to be sure.
“If both held their courses, then they would collide in 9 seconds and catastrophe would be inevitable.”

didn't expect to--
Seriously I didn't expect to cry my heart out in this movie. Its endearing, and lightly painful. It shares the grief as it is - it stays painful yet we can see some light out of if, even when time goes by. It shows innocence, and I guess that's the bright side of love. I loved every scene. And I already knew the ending since I've seen some spoilers ahead but it was still worth the watch. I won't rewatch because I don't want to cry my soul out twice, because it touches deep in your feelings. A lot. But I totally recommend it.Was this review helpful to you?
Story is good
The story, costumes and visual effects are very beautiful. However the story is like any other wuxia/fantasy like drama or movie. It’s very predictable. Same plot, same story telling.
I hoped for some unexpected turns but didn’t happen.
The story was told very fast. Due to shortage in time (it’s a movie). I guess it would’ve been better told if it was a drama.
It’s a nice movie to kill time.
But not one to rewatch again.

Exciting, Yet Fell Short of the Sky
One hell of a story & script — wow, what a concept. Poor execution couldn’t do justice to the material; the editor also couldn’t bind it together perfectly. The major problem is the performances, which are very mid — not a single actor truly excels to their maximum potential to elevate the scenes. All of this makes it an average watch. I’ll have to watch the original Japanese version. Was this review helpful to you?

THE HEART REMEMBERS WHAT THE MIND FORGETS
I don't understand the hate in this comment section. The ML's condition was set up subtly from their very first conversation so it wasn't like the reveal at the end was pure shock value that want properly build up.Now, I haven't watched the japanese one, cause one Japanese movie was enough to traumatize me for life, so I don't know how it compares but it surely doesn't disappoint.
Everything was perfect. The chemistry between the leads, the cinematography, the entire sequence of the last 30 mins were just.... so dreadful yet so beautiful I wish they extended it for 30 mins more.
It's a good movie if you wanna experience bittersweet love and heartbreak.
Would I rewatch? Hell nah.

One of the Most Fun, Unexpected Films I’ve Loved
Boss (2025) is an incredibly enjoyable film that balances humor, heart, and character-driven storytelling so well. What stood out to me the most is how naturally the story unfolds, focusing on relationships, growth, and the subtle way characters influence one another rather than forcing dramatic twists. It feels warm, grounded, and genuinely entertaining from beginning to end.Jung Kyung-ho is, once again, absolutely fantastic. He brings his signature charm, emotional sincerity, and impeccable timing, making his character instantly lovable and believable. Jo Woo-jin is just as impressive, delivering a performance filled with depth, wit, and quiet strength. Their dynamic is easily the highlight of the movie, feeling organic and engaging in every shared scene. Hwang Woo-seul-hye adds her own spark, perfectly complementing the tone of the film and elevating the ensemble.
The supporting cast also does a wonderful job, making the world of Boss feel full and alive. The pacing is smooth, the humor lands naturally, and the OST fits beautifully, enhancing both the lighter and more emotional moments. Overall, Boss (2025) is a film that leaves you smiling, feeling oddly comforted, and appreciating the journey rather than just the destination.

Adventures of Yak continues.. Yak vs Many Spirits, this time.. A Good Sequel!
A Very Good & Interesting Sequel to the first two movies in this Franchise.(You need to watch all the prequel movies to know the main characters n their story, though the ghosts that haunt the family n the ghost stories are different in each movie).
***
In all three movies in this franchise,
A vengeance seeking, century old Ghost haunts and attacks a family of 3 sons and 3 daughters, residing with their parents in their countryside home,
possesses one of the gals in the family
and one family member (eldest son, Yak) tries to find ways to ward off the evil spirit, thereby protecting his family.
***
There are Three Time periods in this Story:
The Ghost Story -- When she is alive, during war times, how she suffered & became an evil spirit.
The Witch Story -- After few years, when the evil spirit attacked a village, it is warded off but later, a witch tries to invoke it again.
Main Story (Yak's Family Haunting Story) -- The Witch tries to harm the family and invokes the evil spirit for her selfish wishes. Also, the family faces the Ghost haunting along with many other forest spirits' attacks -- Liked the adventures of Yak along with his brothers and the Suspense element here.
Story and Direction are Good.
Visuals and Cinematography are Good.
Story Narration and Screenplay are lil confusing with the time periods.
But all the haunting scenes are Very Good.
***
First 30 mins of the movie is Very Good -- Ghost haunting the lil sister n she is kidnapped by the Witch.
Next, Eldest brother Yak with his brothers and Mentor, went on an adventure deep into an unknown forest to find a way to save his lil sister.
Unlike the second movie, which has similar adventures of Yak in a forest, the adventure scenes in this movie are More Interesting.
Here, there are many forest spirits haunting, creating hallucinations and attacking them.
Haunting Scenes like The Underwater Fight with the Water Spirits, Another Attack by the Forest Spirits n One More Attack by the Spirits inside the cave, are Good.
Last 30 mins is fight with the Witch and the Ghost and saving the family.
At times, the characters are lil confusing bcz the witch, her follower lady and the ghost, all three have similar makeup, Silly Me, hehe.
Also, you can see the main ghost n its haunting only in the first 15 mins and the last 15 mins of the movie.
Remaining are the hauntings by forest spirits or the troubles caused by the Witch.
***
As a comparison with the two prequel movies:
First movie is simple and direct horror family drama.
2nd movie has some adventures of Yak but not that captivating.
3rd movie has family drama, More Adventures of Yak, More Ghosts to fight with and a lot of Suspense too.
Hence, More Interesting to Watch.
*** Few Silly thoughts:
1) Shooting the ghost with enchanted mercury bullets or attacking it with fire is reasonable for a horror movie.
But there are some scenes where the little gal bites a spirit or tries to beat it with stone (like how a human being is hurt physically) -- it looked silly and beyond a horror movie logic, haha.
2) Character Yak -- actor Nadech -- he has to strip in every movie, I guess and Director made sure of it with silly situations, hehe.
3) Aigoo, it's funny how Every year (from 2023, each yr, one movie in this franchise is released), different female ghosts haunt one of the gals in Yak's family only, leaving other families in the town 🤭
Aigoo, P' Yak has got into a lot of ghost troubles ;)
Ghosts can't really resist the handsome brothers n their beauty, I guess ;)
***
My Rating is 8 /10.
Horror genre lovers will love this movie.
In this Franchise, liked the movies in the order:
3 = 1 > 2

The Performances Steal the Spotlight
Good News (2025) is a film largely carried by the strength of its performances. The cast delivers intense, well-measured acting, balancing suspense, dark humor, and social commentary without losing credibility. Even when the pacing slows or the script feels slightly overstretched, it’s the actors who keep the story engaging and give weight to the absurd situations. The direction leans into a stylized tone, but it’s the performances that humanize the narrative and elevate the film’s overall impact, making the experience compelling and memorable. Was this review helpful to you?

A Love Story Where Memory Is the Enemy
This film is a quiet emotional punch that sneaks up on you. It follows a young woman who forgets everything from the previous day each time she wakes up, which immediately brings to mind 50 First Dates (2004). But unlike that film’s gentle optimism, the male lead here feels colder, more guarded, and—honestly—often frustrating. His love is sincere, yet shaped by fear. The actress delivers a tender, heartbreaking performance, balancing innocence with resilience. You feel her confusion and warmth even when her memories reset. The male actor, on the other hand, plays restraint painfully well; his character’s choices are rooted in love, but expressed in the harshest way. Knowing he has a heart condition makes his eventual death devastating, but asking his friend to erase her journal about him feels cruel. Why must love always be protected by erasure?
The line, “Scars don't disappear. But the pain doesn't last forever. If everyone is forgetting you little by little then I'll try to remember you little by little.” captures the film’s moral: love isn’t about being remembered forever, but choosing to remember, even briefly, with courage.

It makes me sobbing so bad
I was in denial when I am about to finish the movie, I mean there is 30 mins left… It hurts so bad that I lost words. The way he left her was so cruel.Thumbs up to Choo Young Woo & Shin Si-Ah for the utmost acting! I feel the love, happiness, frustration, sincerity in knowing and loving each other.
The love is so so pure that I am sobbing so bad ;( Also Ji-Min’s effort in erasing the memories one by one was so heartbroken.
I am happy that Choo Young Woo is getting more well-known. Hoping to see him in another movie or drama.

I'm sad I waited so long to watch this because of negative reviews.
I've seen Gap and The Loyal Pin and I loved them both. However, I kept putting off watching this because the reviews weren't that great and I heard the acting was bad and the story was confusing. I am so disappointed that I waited this long to watch this amazing story. The acting was fantastic (the only thing was that it was a little hard to understand Freen's english in some scenes). The story was not confusing at all just beautiful and emotional. The soundtrack was also incredible. Was this review helpful to you?

More Than Memory: A Story About Disappearing
This film is often described as heartbreaking, but that’s not what makes it special. It hurts because it thinks.
At its core, this is not a story about forgetting to avoid pain. It shows something far more uncomfortable: that forgetting doesn’t guarantee relief, because what truly matters leaves a mark beyond conscious memory. Love doesn’t disappear when memories fade; it changes into something quieter, deeper, and harder to name.
The final revelation is devastating precisely because it’s restrained. There is no loud twist or emotional manipulation—only a silent confirmation of what the film has been patiently building all along. The pain doesn’t come from loss alone, but from persistence.
The film is also brutally honest about how memory and mercy are unevenly distributed. Some characters are allowed to forget in order to survive; others must remember everything. Not everyone receives the same kind of mercy, and the film never pretends otherwise.
In the end, this isn’t a movie designed to make you cry. It trusts the viewer’s emotional intelligence and confronts a difficult idea: some bonds are so strong that neither illness, time, nor forgetting can erase them completely.
It doesn’t explain grief.
It lets you live with it.
