It’s a good watch

The drama was not bad at all. There were some long parts that I did skip. I felt like the villain was predictable but he played his character. The love was eh okay, he loved her but couldn’t tell on her end as much. There was so much resistance from her. The story was decent overall. There were a lot backstory so if you’re not catching on you’ll get a bit confused. The story in the backstory was pretty good on the friendship bonding side but the love there was also a bit off. How can he love but hurt her too. I overall enjoyed my watch and the songs were pretty good too.

Worth to watch = slow burn, make us blend with the character feeling

I like how the story develops, easy to follow and make us understand in a relationship, we are not just doing our part and do our best, but we need to understand other party feeling too.
try to communicate rather than keep it to avoid clash.

Both main leads acting were really on point, in the beginning i felt Kris was to exaggerate but after the story flow, I can understand her character like I were her.

How both main leads developing their affection were so natural and drag me back to my own sweet memories hahaha..
anyway, worth to watch and thumbs up!

Pretty interesting

I really liked how unique the plot is. Multiple people from the real world is pretty cool. I love the comedy in here. The entire watch was pretty interesting. The love here was okay but I was mainly here for the entertainment. There were a lot of deaths for a very comical show. The ending was a happy one but I wished it did play a bit differently.

this is a mixture of hometown cha cha cha & brewing love

this is that kind of cliché kdrama where you can predict everything from the very beginning. it was very boring in the first few episodes then it gets a bit better. honestly i expected more from ahn hyo seop. the references of business proposal & kpop demon hunters were funny. the setup between other couples in the drama felt too forced. and the main leads i wouldn't say they had no chemistry but there was something missing for sure. the storyline was very basic and didn't move me at all. maybe if i hadn't watch other better dramas with much better storyline i would have liked it.

FINALLY a dark romance that actually understands what makes dark romance interesting!!!!

What I loved most about this series is that it doesn't try to convince us that one character is completely right and the other is completely wrong.

They're both toxic. Just in very different ways.

Lu Feng is the obvious one. The possessiveness, the obsession, the intensity, the willingness to burn down his entire life for the person he loves... he's a walking red flag and the series never pretends otherwise.

We need to talk about Ayden's performance because WOW... WOW!!! What an incredible portrayal. He managed to bring so much depth to Lu Feng, every scene felt charged with emotion, whether I wanted to hug him or shake him by the shoulders.

But what surprised me most was Xiao Cheng. Because his toxic trait isn't loud. It's subtle. It's the fact that no matter how much Lu Feng sacrificed for him, Xiao Cheng never truly chose him first. He never prioritized their relationship and that's what made their dynamic so frustrating and addictive to watch.

What makes the story work so well is that neither of them is innocent. Neither of them is easy to defend (specially Lu Feng. Damn, the man did some shitty things). Yet somehow you still find yourself rooting for them, and that's the beauty of dark romance.

Now, Xiao Cheng's brother? I swear, every time he appeared on screen, I prepared myself for another unnecessary tantrum. At some point he stopped feeling like a protective brother and started feeling like an overgrown child throwing a fit whenever things didn't go his way.

I also felt the need for more details about his relationship with Qin Lang, they were a very underutilized couple.

Beyond the romance itself, I also loved how addictive the overall story became. Every episode felt like it was building toward something bigger. The tension kept escalating, the emotional stakes kept growing, and the series constantly made me want to watch just one more episode.

Ps.: This review reflect only my personal opinion as a viewer and IS NOT meant to be a professional critique.

BEST SERIES OF 2026 AND BEST DMD SERIES EVER

this series blew me away. i really didn't have high expectations because i typically do not like DMD series all the way to the end but man, i was in love with luat all the way through. it never got boring, it never got too confusing, it never got too cringey, the chemistry was always there, the nc scenes were good, the acting was good, the story was interesting, the costumes and setting were good - just a 10/10 across the board. the only complaint i have is that there aren't more episodes!!

i am sooo happy that they were in the past for a majority of the series. i was worried it was going to go back and forth but im glad they didn't do that. they really were only there in the very beginning, the end and when Nakhun was thinking back to his teacher's lecture about time travel. some people are saying they didn't care for the explanation of the time travel in the last episode but i liked it and it was very clear - i am not sure why some of you guys don't understand it. it is simple to understand. and i am usually the last person to comprehend time travel stuff.

anyways, i dont want to say too much - im just gonna say, please watch it! i never recommended a series more than i recommend this one. the story, the romance, the chemistry, the ending, its just all soooo good.

Double Emotional

What can I say that most people already said? The cast was tight, the story was changed and felt renewed from the original, the chemistry was amazing, the heat was on fire.

It's a toxic, wild, ride and I loved every toxic second of it.

Day -0 of missing them haha ❤️‍🔥 🖤 ❤️‍🔥

my second cdrama!

to say i'm obsessed is an understatement. i have been sleeping on cdramas for far too long, i absolutely tore through this.

i found liu yuning to be so charming, and song zu'er gave such an amazing performance! i'm always apprehensive about enemies to lovers as a trope, because if it's not done well it can truly ruin the whole thing, but POB delivered!!! the chemistry was amazing, even when they were still enemies. it was done so well that i didn't even mind the slow burn. i was just thoroughly engrossed in their story and the tension between them.

and manman was such a well-written female lead. she was able to hold her own, intelligent and cunning but still genuine and deeply compassionate. wei shao was her perfect counterpart, politically minded but tenderhearted, careful and calculating but secretly (and not so secretly pretty quickly, lol) smitten with her from the beginning. watching wei shao struggle against his nature and past trauma to finally let himself trust her (and let his mind catch up to his heart) was incredibly gratifying.

my only real critique is that i felt like the ending was a bit rushed. everything is wrapped up, technically, but it felt like there were several conflicts and plot points that needed a few more episodes to really do them justice.

overall, a 9.5/10 for me!

VIOLENT BUT VERY GOOD

ALTHOUGH THE SHOW IS QUITE VIOLENT AT TIMES - I BELIEVE IT DOES REFLECT ONE OF THE BIG PROBLEMS TODAY THAT GRADES AND RESULTS IN SCHOOL ARE WHAT MATTERS NO MATTER HOW YOU GET THEM. THE BULLYING IS ALSO A VERY BIG PROBLEM IN MY OPINION AND , AGAIN, ALTHOUGH THE HANDLING SEEMS EXTREME, IT DOES FACE THE PROBLEM. THE RESPECT TOWARDS TEACHERS WHICH IS ALSO GOING DOWNHILL IS ALSO PORTRAYED VERY WELL.AGAIN, VIOLENT FOR DRAMA EFFECT BUT THE MESSAGE IS VERY MUCH TO THE POINT AND SHOWS THAT THERE IS A PROBLE WITH SOCIETY AND EDUCATION NOWADAYS.

the flaws of Korean schools and society

A perfect episodic drama that displays the flaws of Korean schools and society throughout 10 episodes, each episode showing us another unique problem that happens not only in Korean school and society but globally. All told in a humorous yet dark way of storytelling.
As there are a lot of mainly Korean issues handled in this drama too, most of the themes can be applied to countries and schools everywhere: bullying, drug abuse, and game addiction are only a few of the major topics displayed.
Each episode deals with a new problem portrayed by another school.

Episode 1: Bullying by a spoiled son of a powerful politician who thinks he can get away with everything. All teachers and students are too scared to do anything. This issue seems to be the most common problem at schools in Korea.

Episode 2: The rise of school gangs who focus more on making quick money by being thugs than on studyinf for a proper job. Thus interfering with the interests of students who actually wanna study properly instead of becoming thugs. One of the ERPB members got introduced here too, Bong Geun-Dae who is a hacker and goes undercover at this school full of delinquents. This was one of the episodes that seemed the most over-the-top and is probably less common in Korea but might be more relatable to people abroad especially the US. It was quite a funny episode tho and the two main thugs were very handsome, one of them looking like Choi Siwon 😂😂😂

Episode 3: This episode deals with defamation of teachers caused by students who are active and popular on social media, and gain power through their followers and by sharing videos and articles online which causes them to manipulate everyone around them. Defamation and online manipulation also seem to be a uniquely Korean phenomenon that also happen a lot at school and from which both students and teachers suffer from. The third member of the ERPB, Im Han-Rim got introduced in this episode too! And I am obsessed with her from the first second!

Episode 4: This episode shows the bribing and manipulation of teachers and hagwons by the influential parents of students. This seems to happen a lot in Korea as well, parents pressuring teachers, those teachers then mistreating less-influential students who are smarter than the kids of influential parents. Up to the leaking of exam materials and answers…

Episode 5: This episode deals with the issue of parents pressuring teachers to favor their kids and it is shown through an elementary school where students don’t have much power but it is the parents that are causing problems for teachers, harrassing them, interfering in their personal lives and even stalking and physically and mentally abusing them. To the point that many teachers commit suicide. I think something like this actually happened in real life in Korea once when a teacher committed suicide due to the pressure from parents.

Episode 6: This episode is about juvenile delinquents and how they partake in violence, theft, and even drug abuse. Because they are still underaged they cannot go to prison. The ERPB changes the rules tho and sends them to a prison. This one was one of the darkest episodes so far. From this episode on, we also start seeing more of how these schools are all connected to drug dealing and drug abuse and all of this then connecting to the ML’s past trauma of loosing his wife who got murdered by a student.

Episode 7: This episode was about game addiction and gambling. This was one of the more unrealistic episodes too. I think debt in itself, especially to loan sharks seems to be a common thing in Korea or at least in K-Dramas. But I personally cannot imagine that this episode was a realistic depiction of it. Not saying it doesn’t happen. I am sure it does but i dont think it’s as common as some other things like bullying or pressure from parents.

Episode 8: This episode shows the pressure that students get from parents who want their kids to get into good schools like SKY or med / law school. I think this was one of the most realistic episodes and again we have the issue of drug abuse tied in this one too and how even mothers buy it for their kids just to see good results… I really wanted someone to slap that mother! she ticked me off soooo much!!!

Episode 9 +10: These two episodes take place at the same school, namely the one where the ML’s wife used to work at and also died by the hands of one of the students. The first of the two episodes is about exploitative bullying in which a group of students use one student to access all his online accounts without paying him. Which seemed a bit unrealistic too bcs how can a kid have so much access to money / a bank account or credit card ? This kind of exploitation does happen I think but more in cases of a rich student who is a loser and becomes the cash cow of the perpetrators… However, I liked how it all les up to the showdown in the last episode! I also liked how the heroes rarely had to lose and always came back with a smart way to get out of the accusations towards them. At the end they were even suspended too but they still came back in a satisfying way! I love dramas that do that! It might not be realistic but it is so cathartic! It makes me feel relieved and happy and thats what matters when watching drama!

In general, I loved the story, the realistic issues being presented in a somewhat unrealistic yet cathartic way, and ofc the characters! The 4 main characters of the ERPB were all so cool and fun and unique. Each of them had a different power and used it in a smart way! It was so pleasing to watch it every episode! I also think that this drama would actually be a great re-watch! It’s fun, satisfying but also dark with deep, serious topics being discussed. As a teacher myself I approve.
It had a controversial theme nonetheless but not even by the end of the drama, you will fully agree with the ERPB’s actions they take against students… It does such a good job at convincing the audience of their opinion 😂😂😂
Loved it! 10/10!!! Everyone has to watch!

LOVE IT. One of the best DMD series!

I really enjoyed this 🥰 Another great hit from DMD. I wasn't sure if I was gonna like it cause I'm iffy with time travel series but I kept going cause I love NetJJ. I'm glad I kept watching.
I laughed alot. Especially at the servants. They were hilarious and loved the bickering between Klao's and Phop's servant. 😂
I loved how there was a full episode of them in the future, meeting and all instead of the last 30 minutes lol.
Time travel ALWAYS confuses me and was confused the whole time 😭 But when Phop started explaining at the end, it made a little more sense. I'm like ohhh and its all because of him, not the fortune teller.
Its sad that Phop found the real Klao's body in the water and thought it was Nakun. Ended up putting 2 and 2 together in the future, wasn't Nakun that dissappeared that night BUT it was still Klao from your time.
I'm assuming Phop basically died from a broken heart, wasn't eating and drinking?? Ngl I thought he was gonna commit suicide if he wasnt able to find Nakun. Going by the other couple (TutorYim) who died together. Phop looked so heartbroken and had no life in him anymore. 😭😭😭
Its great how they made Nakun's mom the reincarnation of Klao's dad. I never would've guessed that until Nakun seen his face on her.
We all been patiently waiting for 3 years for this to finally air! 🤣🤣 Its a definite rewatch. ❤️❤️

TOXIC TROPE AND A story seen and reviewed. It can make you laugh every now and then.

My Royal Nemesis - A Beautiful
Setup Ruined by Toxic Tropes
A Promising K-Drama That Fails to Deliver What started as a highly anticipated fantasy rom-com quickly devolves into a tedious, exhausting watch. Frustrating Pacing and Wasted Premise
• Stretched Storyline: The reverse isekaiconcept of a Joseon royal waking up in modern Seoul loses its charm after just a few episodes.
· Repetitive Enmity: The clash between the leads is dragged out so excessively that the "enemies-to-lovers" dynamic turns entirely frustrating.

· Lazy Writing: Instead of developing
genuine emotional depth, the narrative
relies heavily on clichés, slow-motion
standoffs, and uninspired plot armor.
Flawed Chemistry and Stiff Delivery
• Wooden Male Lead: The performance lacksany emotional nuance, delivering the exact same facial expression and flat tone of
voice across every single episode.
· Mismatched Energy: The main characters share zero natural on-screen chemistry, making their forced romantic progression incredibly hard to swallow.
• Carried by the Heroine: While the female lead tries her absolute best to salvage the comedic timing, she cannot carry the weight of an entire uninspiring cast alone.

Toxic Tropes Overload
· Exhausting Male Lead: The "cold-hearted to the world" trope goes way too far, crossing the line from a charmingly distant chaebol into a genuinely unlikable, arrogant character.
• Outdated Romance: The show heavily
relies on toxic K-drama clichés from
decades ago, failing to offer any modern update or actual joy to the viewer.
Time-Wasting Pacing: Watching this series ultimately feels like forcing yourself through 12 hours of filler content, leaving you with nothing but regret

Love will always find a way

Truly impressed with Love Upon A Time from beginning to end. each episode just got better and better.

From episode 1 it was so engaging and attention grabbing it left me wanting more.
Great job balancing the romance along with the investigative part in the story, I feel like nothing was left unanswered and any changes from the novel to the adaptation were practical ones that fit a physical version of the story even more.

The visuals and quality of each episode were beautiful, the hardwork from the staff behing LUAT was so clear. I know they all faced hardships during this project from prolonged delays to sets being flooded and so on but I will forever be grateful that not one person ever gave up on LUAT.

Net did a fantastic job as Phop, I've seen all the preparation from him in things like practicing his speech, sword and combat training, etc. every emotional scene from him made me feel everything he was feeling especially the sad scenes.
JJ was so good leading the series as well as he did. I know it must've been hard at times but I hope he can be proud of himself. it might seem like things aren't completely good but this is just the beginning for you and netjj.

Latte, i'm so happy after all these years he was finally able to be part of a series. I will admit he impressed me a lot more than I was expecting. He is typically quiet and private but for this role of playing two personalities he did a great job having a clear divide of each.
Kim, the perfect Kaew he is so lovely and truly embodied the character he was playing. it was my first time seeing him act and I think he did well.

--

If anyone is wondering if they should give LUAT a chance. my answer would be yes. maybe you are someone who thinks time period series aren't for you and that's okay but I will say this one is quite different from other time period dramas. it's the perfect rom-com mix with not too much comedy to take away from the serious moments.
