A mix of boring and sweet

Things I loved

1 The theme. I've never watched a series based on the brewing theme and I wanted to learn things and watch them drink and discuss beer. I don't like drinking at all but wine and beer are two drinks that fascinate me as of their popularity and I always want to find out more about how it's done.

2 The beginning. I loved the FL character and wanted to find out more about her journey. The issue is that somehow it got boring after a while and I wasn't so much into her journey.

3 The FL. She's one of my favorite actresses after Business Proposal, so she is the reason with the theme that I started this. I think she's as cute as ever and she's a good romantic comedy actress. I will definitely continue to look for her dramas. Did she have chemistry with the ML? I guess. I wasn't that transported by the romance so I can't really say.

Things I liked

1 The ML. it's the first drama I watch with him, and I think he did a good job with his character. My issue is that I never warmed to his character. I wanted to love him, but it didn't happen. I didn't dislike him, that's certain, he was a great person, I just didn't connect with him.

2 The other characters. They were good and I don't have anything to complain. I just didn't care enough to put them on the "love" list.

Things I disliked

1 It was quite boring, and I think this is the first review where I say this. I'm not easily bored and I don't mind slow pace at all, but with this one it felt sometimes like nothing happened.

2 The village theme. Others are attracted by it, but that's not my case. I love villages as setting as much as big cities, but I dislike everything that comes with like meddling people and hidden lessons. It wasn't that bad, but it wasn't something that appealed to me either. All in all, it was a sweet, heartwarming drama with a little too many boring moments.

Not so good not so bad

Went on to watch this show with lot of expectations after watching it's edits everywhere on Instagram but was not really impressed by this. Okay, the first few episodes were funny and cute. But, it went downhill with every episode. The fl was too clingy to the ml. The ml's character was too bland and boring don't why the fl was so much attracted to him. The only thing I liked was Do Rami.

Nice story line

First of all, this storyline slightly matches with #the lawless lawyer, and then my favourite actors & actresses are there ...It is really engaging to watch my fav actors and actresses #beak jinhee #wonjina #jisung #parkheesoon and my fav Ajusshi #Ahn Nae Sang. After Highkick 3, #beakjinhee and ajusshi are reuniting ..

Simple and cute

Things I loved

1 The FL. She is the reason I started this after I fell in love with her In Gang your Heart. I won't lie, her performance there was much better, but the story was as well. She's a good actress but what attracts me to her is her luminosity. She could be the girl next door I could be friends with.

2 The premise. I loved the premise, the lying thing, but also the comic theme. I think it could be better executed but it was still good. Sweet and interesting enough to have you persevere.

3 The relationships between the club members. I liked the different characters and interactions and this worked well until the ending. As I said, it was simple but cute with some funny and heartwarming moments.

Things I disliked

1 The ML. I didn't really dislike him, but something didn't click for me. I didn't see the chemistry I hoped and I just felt like someone else could be better for the role. But it's not a real dislike, just a mild one with some moments where I liked him.

A Thrilling, Dark Ride That Grips From the Start

From the very first episode, Extracurricular doesn’t ease you in — it throws you straight into danger. What starts as a quiet student’s secret life quickly spirals into a tense, morally chaotic thriller where every decision feels explosive.
The real shock? The relatively new leads deliver performances so convincing that you forget you’re watching actors. You’re not just observing the story — you’re trapped inside it. There’s no clear hero, no pure villain. You stop asking who’s right or wrong and start holding your breath to see who survives the consequences.
This isn’t a slow burn. It’s a constant surge of tension, curiosity, and anxiety — easily one of the most adrenaline-charged K-dramas out there.
Watch it if you want: intensity, moral grey zones, and edge-of-your-seat storytelling.
Avoid it if you prefer: light, comforting dramas.

Bloody Flower — A Drama That Never Bloomed

If you’re looking for a tightly written, emotionally gripping short K-drama, Bloody Flower may disappoint you. Despite having only eight episodes, it feels stretched rather than sharp. The premise shows promise and the cast delivers decent performances, but the writing lacks depth and momentum.
There’s little sense of urgency or anticipation between episodes — it’s not the kind of drama that keeps you counting down to the next release. Much of the storyline feels underdeveloped, making the overall experience feel thinner than it should for an eight-episode series.
Watch it if: you’re a fan of the cast or prefer lighter, easy-to-finish dramas.
Skip it if: you’re expecting strong storytelling, tight pacing, or high emotional payoff.

Loud, Surface-Level, and Sadly Forgettable

I really wanted to love *Miss & Mrs. Cops*, especially because I’m a huge fan of Ra Mi Ran. She’s one of those actresses who can carry both comedy and emotion so naturally. So I went into this movie with high expectations… and maybe that’s why it didn’t fully land for me.

The film actually starts strong. It even gave me slight *Midnight Runners* vibes at the beginning , that chaotic investigative energy with humor mixed in. But somewhere along the way, it became too loud. There was so much shouting, so much exaggerated chaos, that I never really had time to sit with the story or let the pieces fall into place.

The investigation itself felt very surface-level. The message about undervalued women proving their worth was definitely there but it stayed on the surface. It didn’t go deep enough to create an emotional anchor. I never felt that strong emotional binding that makes a message hit harder or gives the story real weight.
The comedy was present, yes. But because of the serious topic it was dealing with, I felt like it needed more balance. Instead of building tension or diving into the emotional impact of the case, it often relied on loud reactions and physical humor. It felt like the film was circling around its point instead of fully committing to it.

Another thing that held it back for me was the lack of originality. The story felt familiar like I had seen pieces of it in other movies before. It didn’t feel like it tried to push boundaries or offer something new. And when a film deals with such a relevant issue, originality and depth could have elevated it so much more.

It’s not a bad movie ,it’s just okay. Watchable, but not memorable. And with a cast that strong, I honestly expected something sharper and more impactful.

The Hype Is Real

I had heard about *My Sassy Girl* for years, even before I properly started watching Korean films. It was one of those titles that kept coming up everywhere, almost like a cultural landmark. In my head, it felt similar to the impact *Boys Over Flowers* had across Asia, the kind of story that becomes so popular it gets remade in multiple countries and completely takes over pop culture.

And honestly? After finally watching it, I understand why.
There’s something about this movie that just works. It’s chaotic, romantic, emotional, and unexpectedly heartfelt all at once. You really do have to watch it to fully get the magic, explaining it almost doesn’t do it justice. It balances comedy and emotion in a way that feels crazy yet natural, not forced, and the chemistry pulls you in before you even realize it.

And Jun Ji Hyun? She is just Korean royalty. Effortless. Whether she’s playing a wild, unpredictable character or delivering a deeply emotional scene, she radiates talent. There’s a presence about her that makes you unable to look away. She doesn’t just act , she owns every frame she’s in.
This movie deserves every bit of its hype. It’s iconic for a reason. If you haven’t watched it yet, trust me, it’s really worth it.

Relationship development was too slow but the ending was like a flash

I've binged watching Zhang Jinyi drama again since her recent drama with Li Zhuoyang make me cheek crammed for too much smiling and search the drama that i haven't watch and i never realized Huang Youtian has collaborated with her (I rarely check his drama since he is more into ancient than modern) and i was happy to check this drama. Both of actor have CP vibe and i hope they can collaborate on modern drama.

Let's recap this drama: they have 97 episodes: 1 episode on the past life, 3 episodes on revenge, 3 episodes on political intrigue. FL luring ML for 90 episodes. Although the plot is thin and the relationship development was too slow, it's surprisingly not boring at all. Just watching gorgeous leads in love is very satisfying. FL is quite busy, responsible for "fishing," political intrigue, and revenge, while ML is very idle, only responsible for being flirted with. From initially being stubborn but soft-hearted, he eventually can't wait for the FL to give him a title. Although the entire series is relatively clean (passionate scenes only exist in the ML's mind).

The cons is the costume was not nice and ML hairdo was bizzarre at the 10 episodes and the political intrigue was too simple. The ending was like flash since they packed the ending in 3 episodes.

If you're looking for revenge or political intrigue, this drama might disappoint you. But if you want to see a handsome man and beautiful woman having a sweet romance, then don't hesitate to watch it—you won't be disappointed.

the problems of bad wishes

At first, like most people, I thought that the finale ruined everything. But then I wondered if it wasn't even intentional that they didn't want to show a happy ending at all.
If you look at the wishes, the only wish that is not at the expense of others is actually Thana's wish for a new job, at most if you assume that the one who otherwise got the job will now go away empty-handed.
All other wishes always involve third parties. So Nack wants a kiss, which means Reow is manipulated for this purpose. Overall, however, perhaps still harmless.
Worse is Reow's wish. He binds Mai and later Thana to him for life. With the consequence that he cannot end the relationship and in desperation then has to commit himself to the café, where he then continues the relationship with Patis or should one say has to continue-
Then Dena's desire to rob others of their memories of their lives so far, just to forget their own pain, is simply cruel. In fact, all 4 prisoners of the wish of Dena and Mai/Thana are also prisoners of the wish before Reow. But Dena and Nack don't have a happy ending either, the late kiss is now nothing important in life, in fact both are stuck in their love for Reow/Patis even in their alter ego and can't find a new partner and thus no happiness.
The only happy ending here is the mother and the son, even if he might have liked to stay with the mother, she has made a life and a future possible for him with her wish and has not bound him to anything with her second wish. They see each other again and the rest is their own decision.
This is exactly where the desires that differ from Dena and Reow in particular bind their friends and force them into a life that is and remains externally controlled by the desires.
Something like that can't have a happy ending and if they wanted to portray it that way, they actually did it well.

Solid legal drama

Things I loved

1 That it was a legal drama. Not only I love them but the competition theme speaks to me as I adore competition shows.

2 The actors. I won't single anyone since I found all good and while I won't check any other dramas from them, I would watch them with joy if they are part of one.

3 The characters. I loved how all of them found their purpose and decided to fight for it. I loved the relationship between them, no unnecessary angst and rivalry but rather respect and sane ambition.

4 The ending. I see many complain about the ending, but I thought it was good, realistic and not truly open.

Sweet little spin off from Cutie Pie series

This story continues the complicated love story between Yi and Kondiao who we meet through the Cutie Pie series. Additionally all our favourite characters pop up throughout the series. Including Yi and Liam’s quirky secretaries who have tiny but amusing cameo roles.
The plot is slightly different from Cutie Pie in that Dian is attacked by a tiger not a dog (who has one for a pet, FFS! The adults are the ones at fault not Yi who spends his whole life atoning for the accident that occurred when he was 14 and Kondiao 7).

In this drama Kondiao (Diao) is determined to escape a life that he feels is wrong - Yi, his fiancée seems to want to own him, due to some unknown obligation, while having a string of women by his side. Diao’s always wanted to go to Switzerland so packs everything he owns up and heads off to catch a plane, Yi finds out and is determined to stop him but has a nasty car accident that leaves him with no memory and a fiancé determined to atone for the escape plan that left him with no knowledge of him. The ending is fun and exhilarating as once again Khondiao is determined to run away but will Yi catch him in time and will they escape the contract that led to him making a second bid for freedom?

My only criticism is more of a concern in that the actor who plays Dian (Nat Natasit) still seems very uncomfortable in his own skin and spends most of his time looking like he’s about to have a full body seizure or a serious bout of diarrhoea. For someone with a black belt in Taekwondo his coordination and overall movement is really uncomfortable to watch from his slight hunch to stilted arm movement - perhaps it was the choice of the director that his body language is so timid and robotic. That said he is a great actor and I look forward to seeing him in something else. (Authors note: I’ve now seen him in something else and he was fantastic so I think it was the direction he was made to play)

The chemistry between the two main characters is absurdly good even though the kissing is very over exaggerated. Max, who plays Zi shows great range as he goes from scared and confused through to indulgent and finally deeply in love. I also love how Dian is not afraid to ask difficult questions or stand up for himself which is a breath of fresh air. Bravo boys (and script writers)

The gentle, loving and playful relationship between Lian and Kiera from Cutie Pie is also lovely to see as their characters have clearly progressed to a deeper level of happiness and Syn and Nuea (also from CP) have become a strong couple too - I just wonder how Syn’s lessons in the bedroom are going? Did they break anything?!

Overall a decent performance, with a slightly shaky back story, that entertained me (my favourite scene is when Yi and Dian fall off the end of the bed - I was so not expecting that but it made me burst out laughing). The production values were great and I have to mention the wedding costumes as they were as insane as the ones in Cutie Pie 2. The wedding night scene was equally as powerful but in a completely different way.

The ending was utterly gorgeous and inspiring too.

Would I watch it again? If I had a few hours to kill then maybe but not any time soon

I loved the main leads

Things I loved

1 The main leads. both were great in their role and I loved their relationship and how it evolved. They're both good actors and managed to sell their story well.

2 The ending. It wasn't perfect but satisfactory enough.

Things I disliked

1 The FL, but this is a constant for me now. I can't take her seriously for some reason, no matter the role she plays.

2 The lack of romance. I know it's not a romance drama but I always need romance in my series.

I Thought the Superpowers Would Ruin It… But *Memorist* Completely Hooked Me

I’m not even going to lie, when I started *Memorist*, the first 20 minutes had me doubting everything. The supernatural angle made me raise my eyebrows. With these kinds of dramas, it’s either going to be brilliant or a complete mess. There’s really no in-between. And at first, I was ready to accept that maybe this just wasn’t going to work for me.

Oh, how wrong I was.

Somewhere along the way, I got completely hooked. I kept pressing “next episode” without even thinking. It’s one of those dramas where you tell yourself “just one more,” and suddenly it’s 3 a.m.

What I really loved is how tightly written the story felt. Yes, there’s a central case driving everything forward, but all the other cases have s purpose. They’re not random fillers thrown in to stretch the episode count. They feel connected , like branches of the same tree, all leading back to the main trunk.

And the individual cases? Genuinely interesting. Each one had purpose. Nothing felt like wasted screen time, and I appreciated that so much.

Now let’s talk about the supernatural element because this is where the drama could have easily failed. Dong Baek’s ability to read memories by touch is a powerful tool, but what made it work was how it was balanced. It wasn’t just “superpower solves everything.” While Dong Baek uses his gift to uncover clues, Han Sun Mi, who has no supernatural abilities often arrives at the same conclusions ( sometime way before Dong Baek ) using pure profiling skills and logic. Watching her break things down step by step grounded the story in realism.

If the drama had relied only on powers to reveal every culprit, it would have gotten repetitive or even ridiculous. But pairing Dong Baek with someone who relies solely on intelligence and deduction made the investigation process satisfying. As a viewer, what we enjoy in detective dramas isn’t just the answer... it’s the process. It’s seeing how the puzzle pieces connect, how clues are discovered, and how conclusions are formed, and *Memorist* understood that.
The supernatural element didn’t overpower the story, instead it elevated it. It added intensity without sacrificing logic. And that balance is exactly why what I thought would be a risky concept turned into such an addictive, well-executed drama.

I'm a big fan of what most of this drama tries to do, and a good portion of what it ends up doing, but I can't help agreeing at least a little bit with the common sentiment of it not quite pulling off the ending scriptwise. Still, I'm mostly here for a powerhouse performance from Shin Hye-sun which I am by no means disappointed by.

So much stronger of a show when it's about the rise to power Sarah Kim had and all the enemies she made along the way, a really well written character played magnificently.

Sometimes you ought to just know when to stop when writing a script and I'm not sure this knew when to stop, especially when you only have eight episodes at your disposal. Basically a far better drama about fashion and the desire to be viewed as wealthy, even among the wealthy, and a really whatever detective procedural. I can suspend my disbelief if I think it's a fun time to watch, and there are moments where I'm willing to do so even as things get a little too ridiculous, but overall it's just not enough of a balance. Especially since Sarah Kim becomes a little too passive in the closing act, rather a contrast considering her role in the first and second acts of the drama.

Also wish the yuribait wasn't confined to just episode one but maybe that's just me, or blamed on people posting clips of the first episode online to draw me in.
