Sparkly, Splendid, Supreme!

Originally came here for both the ML and FL but stayed for everything else.

As a Cheng Lei and Wang Chu Ran fan, I was here to support my lovelies. But this drama didn't just astound me with the visuals, it gave me that chemistry I deserve. I sometimes have urges to forward moments of mains because I don't like them, but not this one. I love theeemm!

Characters Review. Wanying is a magnanimous character - typical of a female hero lead all kind, courageous, and smart. You would expect she would plan things ahead because she has that "foresight". Xiahou Dan is not your typical hero - all benevolent and noble. He was disturbed and he was alone for a long time. The fact that he was in the story as a teenager added a lot of depth to his transmigrated character. So, in the end, he didn't only portray what is expected of a hero, he also lived every step to survive and to attain salvation in the form of Wanying. Xie Yong Er also was an unexpected transformation. I didn't see myself liking her because she was supposed to aid the Prince Duan but she changed - which is a good step they did. Xiahou Bo for a villain was formidable for a 2D character. This added more interest to the story because despite not having "foresight", he was able to have his own mind. It was like a 3 advanced players versus 1 beginner level but I guess he was supposed to really be that smart because he was, after all, the male lead. I hate him by the way! Haha. It means the actor was good.

Plot Review. I can be quite harsh with plots. I dropped a lot of stories simply because they couldn't meet my expectations even if the actors were my faves. But this one really didn't disappoint. This gave me a new breath to transmigration stories. Initially, it was fun as it could get. I had a lot of laughter with the hotpot sessions, fake break-ups x losing favor scenes, Bei Shu disguise, and Eunuch An. And like we could all predict, laughter soon turned into tears, because, hey, how could there be no progress. So, sacrifices had to be made. Things had to go South. And, they would eventually solve it. Sometimes, I just give up how they solve things because we can never know with Chinese dramas. There seems to be no way, but there will be. The same thing happened here. Maybe the odd thing is, there should have been a better way to solve the poison problem. The mute girl was quite off and impractical. It lacks motive. For the ending, this drama actually gave a closure, allowing them to meet again in modern times unlike some that leaves the story in the book. The snippet from Zhan Sang's diary at the last episode also helped us see the story in the perspective of ML. It was the perfect snippet for the ending.

Music Review. They usually play the theme song when the mains are either kissing or reuniting and again, this time, I didn't skip those scenes because I like both of them so I listened to the songs and loved especially the theme song.

Overall Review. I give this a 10 primarily to boost its rating hahahahaha, don't judge me. As I said, I have my own preferences haha! My baobeis performed splendindly well! Plus, it gave us a new outlook towards transmigration stories, introduced peak casting, and developed character depths!

I know it's not for everyone, but it is for me. 🥴 So, I get to have the say!

Started off good but got boring overtime

I started this drama cz i heard gangster x cafe owner🤭 and also cz of FirstKhaotung. Loved episode 1 soo much i put it on hold to binge watch but then i couldn't control myself so watching on air again. It did get a little boring in episode 2 but then it got better. Personally i feel this series would make a much better webtoon than a series cz cats play a important role here. Usually in the animal movies I've watched they add expressions and mouth movement to the animals which is not the case here so that felt kinda weird for me. What they've done is not bad just that it's not what I'm used to. Another thing that's kinda new here is the Lynx is literally a cat in human form not a guy who looks like a cat. The way Khao stands, turns everything is pretty much cat like also the change in scent when in love. That's something new.

I think ep 2 is the only boring episode so far the rest of the episodes are soo damn cute❤️❤️. I think this is the 1st time firstkhao are not lying or hiding things from each other in a drama😆. Ahem can i say i am shipping Doc. Pom and Leo. Ik that won't come true cz both have their partners🤭 guess it's a ghost ship for now. They're both soo adorable when they're jealous haha i love it!!

Edit: that was my opinion around ep 5 but the show went downhill after they got together. It was boring and draggy just pure fluff and it had nothing that made me want more. I forced myself to finish it.

- When i hear mafia/debt collector i expect some push and pull like we see in other dramas which was absent here
- Lynx's original career kinda got sidelined in the show. I was expecting a bit more clarity on that side. I really dont feel lynx liked the cats enough to choose them as a career.
- the entire show felt repetitive overtime. There was no spice no twist no nothing it was as flat as it could be.

I feel it would be an ok watch if you like pure fluff no story or if u watched it on air but binging it would be hard

Ancient Bracelet” is a story based on the fulfillment of a vow that is connected to a bracelet.
In the drama, the protagonists reverse time twice. Each time, they promise that they will not interfere in each other’s lives, but they immediately break that promise. This does not make sense. If they had intervened because of unavoidable circumstances, it would have been more understandable. Therefore, the time reversal felt unnecessary and illogical, especially in the final part of the drama.
What I enjoyed most about the drama was the chemistry between the leads. That was the only reason I continued watching it until the end.

Dropped

I don't even remember what episode i left this on because it was just getting boring.

I came here for the gl and there's like one kiss scene, the writer could have done SO much more to tell us that they have feelings for each other.

The story was also kinda confusing but i don't know if that's just me.

Cute!!!

This is super cute but i don't really like how they portray all gyarus as "punks", "bullies" and "mean" people, i'm so sick of that stereotype.
Overall it's cute and funny, has a good lesbian couple and the music is SO SO SOOO good.

Had to add these spaces so it would be 300 characters help.

Too Many Filters, Not Enough Depth

Before diving into this drama, ask yourself:

A. Have you read the manhwa?

B. Do you hate romcoms?

C. Are you a modern feminist?

D. Do you enjoy old-school romcoms and need a filler?

If you answered A, B, or C, maybe skip this one.

This drama sticks to the classic chaebol-meets-Cinderella formula, complete with a one-night stand that leads to pregnancy. Groundbreaking? Not really. Deep? Nope. But if you’re in the mood for something light and easy, it might just hit the spot.

The leads are refreshingly in their 30s and 40s, which is a nice change from the usual 25-year-old CEOs we’re somehow supposed to believe. That said, even these “mature” characters can’t resist acting like teenagers once love and romantic rivals enter the picture. Ah, clichés—can’t live with them, can’t escape them.

Speaking of clichés, the second male lead is... a lot. He’s the kind of character that makes you want to fast-forward, and his excessive screentime takes away from what could’ve been the heart of the story: the leads building their relationship organically and navigating pregnancy together. Oh, and yes, there’s an evil sister-in-law scheming to take over the company. Because of course there is.

The supporting cast checks all the usual boxes: a quirky sidekick for comic relief, supportive colleagues, and a team director who’s self-serving but not entirely awful. They’re fine, but nothing to write home about.

As for production, don’t expect glammed-up wardrobes or high-budget sets. It’s a modest production, and that’s okay. What’s not okay? The overuse of filters. If you’re going to feature a more mature cast (which is a great idea, by the way), just embrace it! The blurry lenses are doing no one any favors.

In short, it’s a drama that knows its lane and stays in it. If you’re here for a breezy, old-school romcom with a mature twist, it might just be your cup of tea. Just don’t expect it to reinvent the wheel.

Good script, simple yet warm stories

Watched 2x, the second watch that changed my rating from 7 to higher.
storyline is basically about second chance, reconcilation.
once the heart determined, it will result to something beautiful, irrespective it will not be full of regret.
i love GYX and i think she's one of short drama actress that chose good script, good story and not with the same theme - some other keep doing same tone of drama etc.
it is enjoyable to watch and really after 2:10:00 hours.. i feel even ants envy my screen haha, i was grinning to the their dialogues. so schweeet.
no toxic, no slapping, reasonable people around main leads and for short drama to focus on 1 main trope is good rather than many tropes.
i recommend this.

Seems an entertaining plot but it's a poorly written story full of toxic characters

PLOT: Venus, a student and Sky's roommate three years ago, confessed his feelings to him and was rejected. Three years later, on the verge of burnout from his job as an interior designer, he leaves Bangkok and returns to his hometown to help his brother, who runs a 7-Eleven. There, he runs into Sky, doctor at the local hospital, who is now aware of his feelings for Venus and tries to win him back. But Venus is distrustful and plays hard to get.

+++ The tone is clearly comedic (opening credits, OSTs, gags, etc.)

(?_?) A few handsome actors and a few spicy sex scenes aren't enough to make such a poorly written script coherent, attractive, or interesting ☜(:♛ฺ;益;♛ฺ;)☞

### The story is simplistic; misunderstandings could have been resolved in two sentences [but they had to stretch the series out], and there are a multitude of toxic characters with manipulative reasoning (when they have a brain), lies, etc. In fact, almost every character in this series!!
### The brother character щ(ಠ益ಠщ) щ(ಠ益ಠщ) is UNBEARABLE,egoist, with no respect for anyone.
### Some actors perform mechanically (Tontae Tinnakorn Puwasakdiwong, Aungpao, Max Detter, and Boss Wasupol). They need to learn to give their characters emotion and depth.

=> I have trouble dropping series, so I finished it in FF, but don't waste your time with this one; there are plenty of better BL series out there :)
**************************************

### Le personnage du frère щ(ಠ益ಠщ) щ(ಠ益ಠщ) est INSUPPORTABLE, sans respect pr personne.

BEST ENEMIES TO LOVER

You're in for a shock for the last three episodes that's all I will say before going into this.

The drama is really a beauty and I was a prisoner of this beauty. The story is so captivating, it beautifully navigated the lives of all the characters. I loved how it gave life lessons along the way about revenge and hatred. The character of the FL is like so beautifully crafted, in all ways she can capture the world with her sweet talk, Manman is really the best FL i have seen in a long time. The drama was a slice of life till 33 what the hell was 34,35 and 36 someone should have warned me.
The ML i have nothing to say ofcourse Liu Yuning, I am biased guys but anyways the character growth once again was amazing and overall I just relished it.

What to say about ifkoi? it's romance plotlne was a little lackluster, and i've found myself being more invested and interested in Kano's journey into being his ideal self from the paralell world being much more compelling than the romance plot. It's not that the romance plot was bad per se, but i've found the romance a slow burn but constrained in a six episode series. The romance plot has so much potential and could've been developed so much more, but alas.

Eerie and Spooky: A Hidden Gem Among Tang Mysteries

I absolutely loved this. Guan Yue has starred in several Tang mystery series, and I would consider this one among the top two in his collection and one among all Tang mysteries. Many people enjoyed Strange Tales of Tang Dynasty starring Yang Xuwen and Yang Zhigang, but unfortunately, while I thought it started strong, it dipped into ordinary by the middle. I didn't find anything particularly creepy or strange about the remaining narratives, and I was so disappointed that I didn’t continue on to watch the next two seasons.

For me, this drama by far outperforms and outmatches Strange Tales of Tang Dynasty, which is why I bring it up as a comparison. I also think this series—along with his other Tang mysteries—proves that a shorter format can be more than enough; short form doesn’t mean the content will feel lacking or incomplete.

I found this drama highly engrossing and impactful. The production never felt low-budget. The short stories didn’t feel dry or repetitive, and the delivery was eerie and haunting throughout. I was invested every second and never felt a dip in pacing or storytelling.

Since I don’t see many people posting about it (apologies if it’s just my algorithm), I have to say this could be a true hidden gem for those who enjoy spooky tales built around an investigative framework. The story follows a trio working together to solve complicated and seemingly supernatural cases: a forensic specialist, a behavioral or scene analyst, and an on-the-ground investigator. I loved their dynamic and how each role brought a distinct expertise to every case they handled.

Great Revenge Story

Where do I even start with this show.
Yu Yin as Shi Yin is everything I want in a female lead, she's not crying in a corner waiting to be rescued, she's actively dismantling everyone who wronged her with the calm energy of someone who has made a list and is checking it twice. Her chemistry with Gan Wang Xing is the slow burn done RIGHT. You feel the contract marriage shifting into something real gradually, not because the plot told you it did, but because their scenes together actually earn it.
But let's be honest. Shi Qing He, the evil sister, is the reason I stayed glued to my screen. This woman is a one-person disaster machine, stealing, lying, manipulating, and escalating in ways that made my jaw drop on a rotating schedule. Every time I thought she'd peaked she found another gear. The audacity was genuinely impressive. Horrifying, but impressive.
The revenge arc is deeply satisfying in the way vertical dramas rarely manage, it doesn't feel rushed or accidental. Shi Yin uses every resource available to her, including Han Zhan, intelligently. She's not rescued. She reclaims. Big difference.
If you like your female leads sharp, your male leads genuinely supportive, and your villains absolutely unhinged, this one's for you.

Dropped because tul was annoying

Was excited for a crime gl but ended up dropping it because tul was annoying, like you are not going to get the medical reports that soon STOP HARRASSING THAT DOCTOR AND LET HER DO HER JOB, i also didin't feel the chemistry between the mc's honestly. I am going to give high scores because the story seems interesting and good.

Chaotic fun, with humour and character.

This was a lot of fun and the participants all worked super well together. I'm impressed and happy that they showed their vulnerabilities and nerves as well as their strengths. Running Man Thailand has an air of healthy competition and friendship. The games are tough but everyone manages to do them. You can actually see them get tired the more times they receive punishment etc. I haven't laughed so hard in a long time!! The whole thing feels very authentic and each contestant contributes to the experience. Its a must watch! ps loving the bond between Tay and Jeff 🎉
