Fantasy, mystery and a gorgeous gang!

This series really does feel like Fangs of Fortune part 2, since most of the cast is in it.

Loving the suspense and illusion arc so far! The costumes, cinematography and everything else in this drama is just so pretty, beautiful to look at!

I love both the couples, but loving the mature romance dynamics between Dudu and Joseph.

Never knew I needed to watch Dudu and Joseph Zeng growing old together ❤️ it was so beautifully done! I'm so impressed by this couple 👏👏 and loving the illusion arcs a lot!

A lot of mystery to uncover there! I'm starting to think Ji Ling is someone else, and the real Dragon Diety is someone else or an ancestor hiding in shadows.

There are many secrets that need to be uncovered!

Ep 16
So confused 😕 with the new episode ending. Li Jie and butterfly demon guy are enemies with same face, the fake Chi Wen knew butterfly dude as being someone from his past, but doesn't explain how he came back looking like a hot dude Yuan Wuhao 😅 also if the guy who got caught in the Star stone explosion was real Ji Ling and a fox demon took his form, and this happened years ago, why did Li Jie lose his memories 10 years ago and crawled into the Sect to get the dragon diety to help him...the timeline doesn't match...

Yanan' s character is the most mysterious of them all 😅 he is the brother of fox demon, also a butterfly demon himself and he's carrying those heavenly sticks which are eating away at his body! What else is missing? Lol

"If you see him, tell him I'm sorry"

A son has to come to terms with his father’s secret life and his own religion in I Wish You Had Told Me. This film was a touching story of a young man having his eyes opened to the idea that love is love.

At his father’s funeral, Seph’s loving tribute to his dad is interrupted by a woman who lets everyone know that Otep had been gay. The pastor refuses to bless Otep damning him to an eternity in hell. Seph tries to appeal to the pastor and congregation reminding them of the kind and selfless man his father had been. No one budges. Seph discovers a suitcase with a cache of love letters his father had written to a pen pal in Spain. The woman who made a scene at the funeral tells Seph about the man his father had loved many years ago, and the final unmailed letter. Seph determines to deliver the letter in person, but the trip won’t be easy.

Seph’s trip to Europe began as a proselytizing mission with his church. His partner, Marlon, had his own issues with their pastor. Both men had to rethink their beliefs and what they had been taught from the church that maintained power over all aspects of their lives. This aspect of the film may be triggering for people in a variety of ways.

Seph maintained a connection to his father through his phone and was shown brief flashbacks of his father’s life. If anyone has ever lost a loved one and called their phone to hear the familiar voice on the outgoing message or texted just to send their love, you’ll understand Seph’s actions. The only difference was that he actually received messages back and visits that were heartwarming and poignant.

The church that caused numerous people so much pain, threw Seph’s existence into disarray, also chained his father to a sorrowful life. Despite ecclesiastical disruptions, father and son still maintained their faith, their belief in love simply expanded. Seph’s search was painful, awkward, and ultimately rewarding and not just for himself. It turns out he wasn’t the only one who needed closure and a reminder of the love that had been given.

Trigger warning: Sexual assault alluded to

The oft quoted scripture Otep and Seph used:

Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.

The courage of Chu Yu and Wei Yun

I enjoyed the drama "Fight for Love" and hope that there is a Season 2 using the SAME actors and actresses. The challenges that Wei Yun and Chu Yu went through to restore the honor of their families name were amazing. I wish that there had been more scenes of Chu Lin Yang and Song Qing Ping, I liked the interaction between to two of them, it added to more a softer side to the story, but yet still challenging. ***Bring on Season 2!!!!

Romance or restraining order?

Duang With You is a bit of a special case. Because what you're signing up for is a very non-enjoyable ride across ten (so far) episodes.

You never really know what the next episode will bring, but one thing is guaranteed: it will be absolutely filled (and I mean FILLED) with exaggerated sound effects, and Duang acting like a borderline obsessive stalker for a solid chunk of the show. Mostly tho, he behaves like an actual child. A grown man, acting like he’s five. And unfortunately, it doesn’t really improve as the series goes on, he remains just as frustrating throughout.

No shade to the actor, though. Honestly, all the actors are doing a great job, this is very much a writing issue, not a performance one.

The premise itself doesn’t really prepare you for the kind of “methods” Duang uses, so you go in more or less blind, and then it hits you like a truck. Him digging up information about a complete stranger just because he finds him cute might sound harmless at first but that’s really just the beginning. Soon enough, he and his friends (who, by the way, are far more interesting characters than he is) are literally following this guy everywhere. And sure, I’ve done similiar things when I had a crush, but I was 12. This is a COLLEGE student we're talking about. But hey, it’s fine, right? He means no harm, so it's cute :3

And even if you somehow get past that (which… good luck), there’s another issue: the drama. It’s there purely for the sake of being there. It adds no real value, and it’s hard to take any of it seriously because it all feels so hollow. Gotta admit, I had to skip them later on.

Qin, on the other hand, is actually a great character. He has a genuinely interesting backstory and, most importantly, doesn’t make me want to punch my screen every time he speaks. Meanwhile Duang, feels like the emptiest character in the entire show. Even some of the side characters have more depth than he does lmao. Which is honestly kind of wild and sad.

But the NC scenes? Absolutely delicious. If only the rest of the show matched that level of quality.

In conclusion, this show is probably one of the biggest messes I’ve seen in a while. It tries really hard to be quirky and funny, but instead just ends up being exhausting and, at times, genuinely irritating. The high rating set my expectations way too high only for them to get crushed almost immediately. Just another piece in the BL industry that unfortunately, brings very little to the table.

Well done, but I was hoping for more.

Season 2 of Bloodhounds was great, but I was hoping for even more. I knew what to expect, though. It’s clear that everything they’ve been through has really affected them, and I really loved how much it impacted Kim Gun-Woo. I don’t see them as weak; I think the people they’re fighting against this season were just more skilled than in seasons 1. Season 1 was fresh and exciting, while season 2 had some moments that didn’t quite hit the mark. Still, every episode kept me hooked. I’m also a sucker for found family, so the relationship between the Mom, Gun-Woo, and Woo-Jin was one of the only things that really kept me engaged. I still feel like something was missing, but I just can’t quite put my finger on what I was really looking forward to.

Drama on point!

DO NOT pay any mind to flippant naysayers who only skimmed through this drama! Trust me, it is a really nice show.
I absolutely loved Ding Yu Xi's performance, his expressions were so realistic, especially when he stares at fl with love-oozing 👀... His actions scenes were quite a sight to behold, really good fight choreography & he looked so cool!

Fl wasn't bad either. I wouldn't rate her as a 'beauty' but who cares? She portrayed her character well, & even nailed her fight scenes. I like that she wasn't a mopy, clumsy damsel who needed saving. Rather, she was brave & principled & unafraid to be vulnerable with ml & stand up to the king.

I love how the leads understood & trusted each other, like they could literally think alike & finish each other's sentences. They trusted each other's judgements even if they didn't quite agree on a matter, & were very supportive of each other.

The supporting cast were great, too. Lu Qi Ba was lively & fun, Song Weng Chang was cute & admirable, even the seemingly foolish croen prince cleaned up his act & became a better ruler than his father, who btw, was just a cowardly, selfish pain in the a$s🙄😬

Hanmei & Changming were just...tragic? Their ending went rather differently from what I presumed, but I liked that Hanmei genuinely cared for her.
I did not like how Chu Linyang kept stringing Tuantuan along all because of some warped sense of self-pity🙄

This show highlighted 'noona-love' (love between older female & younger male) and female empowerment. Even the Wei widows were all strong women who could fight.
Probably the only minus for me was the OSTs, nothing memorable nor impressive. And i wish they showed a wedding scene, whether those of the main leads or at least that of Chu Jun & Song Wengchang. That would have really livened up the ending.

Overall, solid drama with good rewatch value 👍👏

simple story with peak actors visuals

It was such a refreshing watch! I liked the characters and their visuals a lot (the height difference hehe). Due to the drama having only 6 eps the plot was simple but very enjoyable and I loved the fantasy part about it. The Ost was honestly positively different from most other Japanese BL soundtracks and went straight to my playlist.
The story of the two protagonists had a lot of potential and I wished the fantasy part concerning the parallel worlds could have been explored more but it was sadly cut a bit short. But despite that they did their best with the given ep time!

Simple, sweet, and comforting

This review covers both Season 1 and Season 2 as a single story

Synopsis

A group of friends ends up living under the same roof. Through their daily lives, the story explores various friendships and the complications of a love triangle.

Pros

Immersive Atmosphere: This series is aesthetically cozy. It creates a relaxed and intimate environment that truly makes you feel like part of the group.
Heartfelt Characters: The characters are very easy to love. The show strikes a great balance between comedic situations and romantic moments that feel genuine rather than forced.
Perfect for Unwinding: If you’re looking for something that isn't emotionally draining, this is an excellent choice due to its lighthearted tone.

Cons

Male Lead’s Immaturity: Some of the protagonist's (ML) attitudes and his treatment of his female friend were quite frustrating.
Uneven Writing: The second lead carries an unfair disadvantage. Between his studies and his job, the script puts him in a difficult position regarding the romance, making the competition feel unbalanced.

Should you watch it?

It’s a simple story that uses classic genre tropes to entertain. It doesn’t try to be innovative or deep; if you want something light to pass the time, give it a chance. However, if you prefer something complex, you might want to skip this one.

My Experience

I feel a deep sense of nostalgia when I remember this drama because it was my gateway into this world. Looking back, I cherish the happiness of discovering stories that resonated with me in a way I didn't know I needed. It was the beginning of my connection with this culture, and that’s why it holds a special place in my heart, despite its flaws.

Reflective but lacked the spark I needed

I have nothing negative to say regarding the story and the characters. It is a solid slice-of-life with a coherent and easy-to-follow plot. The series portrays the challenges of a young man trying to carve out a path in modeling and acting while dealing with his family's disapproval and the harsh reality of the industry. On the other hand, we see a girl striving to become a professional makeup artist while facing loneliness and a hostile work environment.

Reflections

The story invites you to reflect on how difficult it is to pursue dreams with unpredictable outcomes, especially when compared to "safer" options like office jobs or military service. Furthermore, it bluntly exposes the dark side of fame: how the pressure of rumors and defamation can destroy a career that took years to build in just a second. Even the romance feels grounded; it shows us that their individual careers can become an obstacle and that, sometimes, the greatest act of love is understanding that going separate ways is the best option, trusting that there will always be new beginnings.

Personal Verdict

However, on a personal level, the drama felt slow—to the point of boredom. The characters are relatable, and you can truly empathize with them (cheering for their triumphs and feeling their sorrows), but the pace is so leisurely that the level of excitement and intrigue remains quite low.
I realized that this series isn't designed for pure "time-passing" entertainment, which was my initial goal. It’s not a story that will make you laugh out loud, bite your nails in suspense, or go crazy over the romance. It was a learning experience for me, but I wish it had been something more than that.

cringe, cute but too BORING!

the first episode of this drama is too cringe to be truth. I was so ready to drop it right away but I waited a bit longer and it got WAY better.
unfortunately "better" is not enough to watch 24 episodes.

plot:🗯️ a dumm actor hires a tutor to prepare for a role but ends up catching feelings for his teacher.

the plot is simple and that's totally fine. this is not a complicated drama.
overall it is pretty cute to watch, even TOO cute sometimes...

I can say this is a bad watch but it is painfully slow. fortunately the ml is a great comic relief. I saw that some users found him bad, I couldn't disagree more. I think the comedy is the best part of the drama. the ml, his nephew and the agent are my favourite.

this is basically a rom com but that's my least favourite part due to the FL.

the actress is really sweet but her character is so boring. I couldn't care less about her.

I was more interested in him pursuing her than them actually falling in love.

If your really like sweet stuff with some comical moments this should be right up in your alley. Prepare to be patient though 😅

It was BLAND!!

I am not sure what the point of the Japanese version of this was. It story felt all over the place, the acting was subpar, wasn't spicy enough and Japanese BL usually contains some serious spice when it comes to series like this; but this wasn't it. The Thai version of this is definitely 1000% better! The only part I liked in this was Boss and Fort's cameo in the last episode. In my opinion, this is not worth a watch and I wish I could get my wasted hours back from watching this.

Such a hilarious movie

I honestly loved this one it made me giggle sm, HELP BECAUSE TELL ME WHY JEONGYEOL WAS HAVING A CHRISTMAS DINNER WITH NARA’S FAMILY ONLY TO GET CAUGHT DRYING UR DICK WITH A BLOOD HARIDRYER LIKE STOPPP AND IMAGINE COMING BACK FROM AN AWARDS CEREMONY AND BEING DRUNK AND FINDING UR BOYFRIEND STUDYING AND YOU KISS UR BF ONLY FOR HIM TO REPLY WITH “ur mouth stinks like ASS” AND HE PUSHES U TO THE GROUND LIKE HELPPP IM DEADD. the only reason this isn’t a ten is because I feel like they got too intimate WAY too fast like broski u forgot ur memories and now ur getting all close up with a guy (jeongyeol) u barely know like IK he’s supposed to be ur husband BUT u guys were going through a divorce, no matter how kind he may seem and I just hoped nara could’ve gotten her memories before the movie ended. This movie deserved to be a short KDRAMA instead since it was WAY too short but I loved it overall. Cutesy movie, don’t know why it’s so lowly rated.

Culinary Class wars + history!! Humorous & Adorable!!!

Reccomend for its super cute word play and humor!!!

A pretty light drama to me - although it has some "serious" aspects to political, violence, and military gore... but overall, the cooking aspect was fun! It sort of reminded me of Culinary Class wars in some bits, with the details of the food, cooking, and display / consumption of the meals!
Love love the humor, absolutely funny, adorable, and clever!!

A light drama with a twist of fate mixed with some historical background - honestly, wouldn't say the best drama in the world BUT think it's definitely worth a watch!

Yoona's acting is so cute and actually loved the main male lead as well! The side characters all were such perfect roles for their supportive parts and honestly enjoyed it!

Just started im already loving it

I've watched 2 episodes and I'm absolutely loving it. The balance between comedy and building up angst is perfect. I adore the cast choices as Jj is a perfect fit for this role. His acting was adorable and i enjoed every scene. From what i can see now the plot is going to be really interesting and complicated, so i cant wait to see more of it. The production and music are on point.
Can't wait for a new episode
