A Second Chance For Love

This series was just lovely. The exploration and second chance to find love between Azuma and Kuji was very well written, developed, and shown to the audience, in a very grounded and realistic way.

I love watching characters getting another chance at finding connection, and love at different places in their lives.

Kuji was coming out of the painful fog of being the caregiver of his father and his passing. While Azuma was dealing with depression of his life, that wasn't very fulfilling for him at this time.

It was luck that they ended up in the same gay bar 8 years after they spent one night together.

Takeda Kouhei and Shibuya Kento were wonderful together as Azuma and Kuji. Pure magic.

Absolute Value of Romance foi uma série que gostei muito de ver. É leve, envolvente e os episódios passam muito rapidamente, o que faz com que se veja muito bem. A história consegue prender a atenção e as personagens são cativantes, tornando fácil acompanhar o desenvolvimento do romance.

O que mais gostei foi o final, por ser diferente do habitual. Não é daqueles finais em que tudo termina com o casal junto de forma explícita, mas deixa pistas suficientes para percebermos os sentimentos das personagens. Na minha interpretação, fica claro que ele também gostava dela, o que torna o desfecho mais subtil e interessante.

No geral, foi uma série que me agradou bastante. Tem uma história simples, mas bem contada, personagens simpáticas e um final que dá margem para reflexão. Recomendo a quem procura um romance leve e agradável de acompanhar.

A Badly Written Mess with Superficial Dark 'Romance'

This is a very poorly made series. I shudder when people compare it to other Chinese dark romances because it doesn't come close at all. It's extremely shallow, illogical, and superficial, and most importantly, it's not even a romance.

These characters don't love each other, and I don't mean it in "they hurt each other too much" kind of way. No, they truly, genuinely do not love each other. Throughout the series, they hold no meaningful conversations. They don't get to know each other. Until the end, you have no idea what they are supposed to like about each other because it's never shown.

Lu Feng isn't interested in Yichen's thoughts or feelings. He just wants them to be in a relationship: that's where his obsession starts and ends. He's not interested in the person himself, in his worries, his hopes, his values; on the contrary, he shows time and time again that he doesn't know or understand him. In the second half of the show, he blames him for being a gold digger. Like, seriously blaming him and punishing him for it even though there is zero reason to think that. If he doesn't know even this much about his supposed great love years later, what can I say?..

Yichen also doesn't love Lu Feng. He invests precisely 0 effort in preserving or maintaining this relationship. He bends where the wind blows, and in most cases, he bends for everyone and away from Lu Feng. He always, always puts everyone and everything else above him even though there are a million other solutions that a loving, somewhat intelligent person would have instantly come up with. He's so spineless that a stranger could take him from his house, put him in the car, and tell him they are going to another country, and he'll just say "okay" meekly with an empty, drugged-out look. And if you think it's because he's been badly broken: no, not at all. He's like this from E1.

From E1, these characters act inconsistently and make illogical choices. Their problems with miscommunication cannot be treated seriously because they are overblown to an extreme extent. Yeah, I get it, miscommunication is a popular trope, but you still need to adapt it smartly. There is nothing smart about writing in Double Helix. The characters don't talk about the most basic and obvious things just because the plot needs it.

There is no logic or psychology here in general. You have the oddest situations occurring, like one character allegedly trying to commit suicide and both characters forgetting about it in the very next scene, or a brother deciding to abandon his hurt brother with a man they haven't known long for 5+ years for the weakest reason of hiding, and then 'hiding' by working in a publicly known wife's company. Or a kidnapper inviting the powerful wife of the kidnapped to his place to show her abused husband to her for some reason, and her just so happening to carry a gun even though she didn't know the kidnapping took place. And then the very loving brothers reuniting after years like some random schoolmates with no emotional ties between them. Characters will appear when it's convenient and disappear when their presence is not convenient - and it happens all the time. It's a big annoying mess, just flashes of scenes with no logical or psychological connection.

The kindapping/abuse part everyone dreaded and kept freaking out over was done very, very poorly. There is just... barely anything happening there. Maybe Yichen gets assaulted, but it's shown very weirdly and he seems to be at least partly into it. Other than this, nothing. For 99% of time, it looks like a middle schooler got put on house arrest. There is no nuance, no psychological breaking, no depiction of how challenging and torturous this was for Yichen to live through; he just keeps eating apathetically as Lu Feng brings people over, never thinks of asking for help, and makes the same face in every situation. This can't be compared to what other red/black flags did to their partners in other dramas, so I never understood why everyone kept calling Lu Feng the king of black flags. He's crazy, that's true, but the biggest problem in their dynamic is a clear lack of love. The abuse itself is superficial as hell, so if you've come looking for dark and gritty stuff that horrifies and fascinates you, and has long-term consequences and a challenging road to redemption, you won't find any of it here.

The music is pretty good; one song in particular has stolen my heart. The acting... honestly, I'm not a fan, although I blame direction and weak script for it first and foremost. There are good scenes, the actors clearly have talent, but a lot of these scenes are very exaggerated, and Yichen's actor is walking around with the same empty expression for a major part of the series, even in situations that don't warrant it. These people deserved a way better script.

It's just old and beaten tropes over old and beaten tropes. These tropes aren't connected or presented well, so it feels like you're watching an outdated parody on quality dark romances. The actors seem absolutely lovely, their BTS are a treasure, but unfortunately, in my opinion, the series is a massive waste of time.

THE BEST BL, I AM SERIOUS.

I've slept on this show for so long. I don't know why. It was so hyped up, and I just never got around to watching it, but it is honestly one of the best decisions I've made so far. I've watched a lot of BL dramas this past month, and while many of them have similar stories, I still decided to give this one a try. THIS IS A MASTERPIECE. THE BEST DRAMA I'VE WATCHED AND I'M TOO PICKY SERIOUSLY.

I completely understand now why it was so hyped up because it was just that good. The cinematography was amazing, and even master's back tattoo, looked incredibly realistic. Before I talk about anything else, I need to mention this because it is a problem that always bothers me in BL dramas. Whenever there is a tattoo, it usually looks completely unrealistic. It's always too black and obviously looks like a sticker pasted onto someone's skin. But this tattoo looked so real that it somehow added even more hotness to his character.

Before I start crushing on Keng, let me talk about the story first.

The plot was so good, and every episode had me on edge. Each one had the perfect mix of friendship, cute moments, funny scenes, and equal parts happiness and sadness. Every ending left me hanging on a cliffhanger, which was honestly nerve-wrecking because I was dying to know what happened next. It took me about two seconds to start the next episode every single time because the suspense was insane.

And don't even get me started on the ending of Episode 11. When she said that Khemjirra was born at six, I genuinely died. I don't think anyone should sleep on this drama because it is that good. Every episode keeps you hooked from start to finish.

As for the romance, the main couple was good, but their relationship was definitely more of a slow burn and quite subtle. BUT UGHHHHH, Jet and Charn completely stole my heart. I never thought I'd end up loving the secondary characters this much, but they were so adorable. Their romance had me smiling every time they appeared on screen.

The friendship in this drama is honestly one of the best I've ever come across. The friends were literally ready to die for Khemjira, and not once did they blame him or turn against him. I am absolutely in love with Jet. He was so cute and amazing. Jet and Charn were genuinely the kind of friends people wish and pray for in real life. They were just that good. i'm so in love with them.

AND FINALLY, KENG. KENG HARIT IS THE HOTTEST PERSON EVER. PLS. EVEN NON-BL ONES WERE CRYING BECAUSE THEY HAD TO WATCH A BL FOR HIM.

I completely understand why people say his face card saved him so many times because, honestly, it's true. There was not a single moment when I could take my eyes off him. Even when I was questioning his decisions, I was still staring. His eyes are so beautiful. They are genuinely majestic. He is the epitome of beautiful. The epitome of perfection. He is unbelievably good-looking.

And I'm not just throwing random adjectives around here. I'm being completely serious. HE IS DAMN BEAUTIFUL.

ALSO, THE CAMEO WAS NET WAS SOOOO GOOD, LIKE MAN IS SUCH AN EYE CANDY, I LOVE HIM.

PLS, EVERYONE WATCH IT. DON'T OVERTHINK IT.

unique superhero drama

Moving is not just one of the best K-dramas in recent years—it's one of the finest series I've watched, period. What starts as a superhero story evolves into a deeply emotional journey about family, sacrifice, love, and the lengths parents will go to protect their children. Every character feels real, every performance leaves an impact, and the storytelling is nothing short of brilliant. The perfect blend of action, mystery, suspense, and heartfelt emotion keeps you hooked while giving each moment genuine weight. Rarely does a series entertain and move you in equal measure. A true masterpiece and an absolute must-watch.

Stayed for those WonderFools!

Going into this show, I had a different idea of what it was going to be. The trailer was fantastic showing chaotic superhero adventure where a group of ppl with powers would be uncovering mysteries around their town. While the show did have those elements, the actual story took a very different direction than what i anticipated. Instead of focusing primarily on superhero antics, the plot was much more centered on the origins of the powers, the scientific lab experiments behind them, and the mystery surrounding the "Child of eternity” .
Nevertheless I still had a great time with it.

The biggest highlight for me was undoubtedly the Wonderfools themselves. As a group, they were endlessly entertaining. Their chemistry felt natural, and so many of their interactions had me laughing. Even during the more serious moments, their dynamic kept the show fun and engaging. They truly carried the heart of the series.

I still have a few thoughts and questions about certain aspects of the story, which I'll get into below.👇🏻

One thing I found strangest was how the story handled its antagonists. While there were definitely people doing terrible things, I never really viewed the Wonder Kinder kids as villains. To me, they felt more like victims, ultimately used as pawns by people with their own agendas. Their actions caused harm, but they were also being deceived and exploited. Because of that, I couldn't help feeling sympathetic toward them.

And HoRan, my girl, deserved the world!!! She was hands down one of my favorites. A complete badass yet also the biggest lover girl at heart. I was rooting for her the entire time, and honestly, I felt so sorry for her.

This is also why I wish they had received a more hopeful ending. Since the series is ultimately a feel-good fantasy comedy, I think it would have been more satisfying if everyone had found a way to work together in the end rather than being forced into conflict.
Plus why was the FL’s grandmother part of those scientific experiments? What was her agenda doing that in the past ?

Overall, even though the show wasn't what the trailers led me to expect, it still managed to win me over with its lovable cast, humor, and surprisingly emotional story. It was an enjoyable ride nonetheless.

Another Khemjira disappointment

I'm gonna judge this so hard so buckle up or just skip my review~

I love horror and this started off pretty well till they started to do some stuff that didn't make any sense and spoils the whole thing for me.

What i really liked is
1-the makeup and visual effects, the ghosts looked genuinely scary and all the victims and dead were very believable.
2-the story, but not the storylines, weird i know but the idea on paper looks so good, i think it went downhill because of the direction, and the characters were written in a very bad way.

What i didn't like:
1-chararacters, i don't understand what's the idea of giving a very not talanted actors the leading roles in a genre that doesn't fit them, I'm sorry but pooh is poorly talanted, still better than others and he is getting better than in his previous work i have to admit, however my sweet boy had only one facial expression if not scared, he looked at pavel as if he'll jump him any second and that's it, i guess he'd fit in a high school romance maybe, also pavel despite doing well, he looked so young i couldn't take him seriously, this is the leader of the investigation team?? No way.

2- some illogical mistakes, how can you, while investigating a serial crime scenes with a killer on the loose, take a kid, who was a suspect/witness, and let him live in your house, share highly sensitive evidences with, let him know the investigation process and moreover visit crime scenes, victims homes and even give you tips and ideas about how to do your job and what to do next!!! Wtf, mate, this ain't Disneyland!! Let him go, i see no point of him being with him except that they don't have any other way for the 2 leads to be together so we'll just let them live together.

And I'm not even going to talk about how more than half the show it's about the characters relationship not the crime, nor that mushy coroner and his pink haired lover and how he added nothing to the story except getting hurt and being annoying.

I think they should get a korean director maybe, because thai is superior in the horror genre but not the horror bl maybe ~

A cozy detective mystery mixed with slice of life elements

It does include some murders and a mummified body but still it's cozy,and doesn't feel really serious.it was pretty low stakes drama for me except episodes 4&5, I was really worried for them.miyabi made me wonder how she became a journalist by how blunt she was 😭😭.
I previously heard about the manga and when I got the know it had an adaptation I was interested in it.but just after finishing the show did I got to know that they both confessed their feelings at the last chapter.while watching this show I was skeptical and "do I remember right"? was the question that was roaming by head,cause they are cute but tbh I'm not smart enough to figure out their feelings.so I was going back and forth between platonic and romantic.
I love how after the episode ends everything goes back to normal the other day,like this one day Taro's dad literally doubted his wife and the next day they are a happy family.
I wish it gets a second season 🤞🤞

king & queen of micro-expressions!!

things aren’t what they first seem here.
bai lu is crafting one of her most compelling and complex characters in Ye Li, and regardless of what lengths she goes to, our hearts understand and hurt for her. not any leading lady could pull off this role, it requires the skill to convey a lot with extreme subtlety. bai lu is more than up to the challenge.

i’d say this is also one of the fresher takes on a mastermind character, portrayed with an appropriate amount of tenderness and disorder.

so we get a revenge story, where the mystery extends, envelopes and includes our main protagonist.



the weakness of this:

i wanted cheng lei to be given more to work with because his part of this leaves me wanting more. i feel he was underutilized here.

the romance isnt going for “romance” as much as its going for “healing” and “connection”. i personally dont mind that this doesnt feel sweepingly romantic, but ive seen people mention it as a minus.

something i do struggle with is that some plotting aspects seemed disjointed. the core was really good so its hard to notice but the weave could’ve been tighter. many subplots felt like they were put on pause so the main thing could happen without in world good enough justification.

so its very good, worth the watch if you like historical dramas, but has its flaws.

Power, Corruption, and the Hunt for Big Mouse

I expected very little from 'Big Mouth'. From the title and synopsis, I imagined another light-hearted legal comedy in the style of 'Boston Legal', but featuring an incompetent lawyer stumbling from one lost case to another.

I could not have been more wrong.

Big Mouth quickly transforms into a gripping conspiracy thriller that keeps you guessing almost until the very last episode.

Park Chang-ho is a third-rate lawyer with an embarrassingly low success rate. Nicknamed "Big Mouth" because he talks a big game but rarely delivers, he survives only because of the unwavering support of his devoted wife. An orphan with no influential connections, he struggles under mountains of debt while trying to keep his tiny law practice afloat.

Then comes the case that changes everything.

The city mayor unexpectedly hires Chang-ho to defend a group of wealthy elites implicated in the mysterious death of Professor Seo. The assignment seems suspicious from the start. Why would powerful men choose the city's worst lawyer unless they wanted him to fail?

Desperate to seize an opportunity, Chang-ho attempts to blackmail the man he believes orchestrated the murder. Instead, he walks straight into a carefully laid trap. Overnight, he is framed as the infamous "Big Mouse"—a legendary criminal mastermind and swindler who has manipulated the city's most powerful figures from the shadows.

From that moment, his life becomes a nightmare.

Thrown into prison, Chang-ho finds himself surrounded by dangerous criminals, corrupt prison officials, and inmates who either fear him or worship him. Outside the prison walls, his courageous wife risks everything to clear his name, unknowingly placing herself directly in the crosshairs of people who would kill to protect their secrets.

The drama becomes an exhilarating game of cat and mouse, where nobody can be trusted and everyone seems to be hiding another identity.

What keeps viewers hooked is the central mystery:

**Who really framed Park Chang-ho?** **Why did they frame him?**

And perhaps even more intriguingly:

**Who is the real Big Mouse?**

The drama constantly plays with your suspicions. Every few episodes, I found myself changing my mind. Could it be Jerry? The Mayor? The prison warden? One of the inmates? One of the city elites he was hired to defend? Someone inside the prosecutor's office? Every clue points in a different direction, while every witness who gets too close to the truth mysteriously disappears or dies.

At one point, I even wondered whether Chang-ho himself might unknowingly be Big Mouse. The way criminals obey him and events unfold around him makes the audience question everything they think they know.

Adding to the mystery are the bizarre incidents occurring inside the prison. Healthy inmates suddenly collapse. Others lose their sanity without explanation. Strange nutritional supplements are distributed throughout the prison, supposedly for health benefits.

But are they really just health supplements?

Or is someone secretly using prisoners as human guinea pigs for illegal experiments?

The deeper the investigation goes, the darker the conspiracy becomes. Politicians, prosecutors, businessmen, doctors, and criminals all appear connected through an invisible web of corruption that reaches the very top of society. Some wear expensive suits. Some occupy positions of authority. Some are respected influential member of society. Yet beneath their respectable appearances lurk monsters every bit as dangerous as the gangsters behind bars.

Despite the constant tension, the drama also provides moments of unexpected humour. Watching the terrified Chang-ho desperately trying to convince others that he is *not* Big Mouse, only to have everyone around him bow respectfully to their supposed leader, is genuinely hilarious.

Of course, there are moments that require a suspension of disbelief. Some characters make astonishingly foolish decisions, such as running towards explosions rather than away from them. The subplot involving terminal leukaemia developing almost immediately after exposure to radioactive waste water also stretches credibility well beyond reality.

Fortunately, these flaws are minor compared with the overall quality of the story.

Just when you think the mystery has been solved, the drama shifts gears again into a tense race between good and evil, where every move could cost someone their life. The suspense rarely lets up, and every revelation only uncovers another layer of deception.

I was completely hooked.

Despite a few far-fetched moments, I thoroughly enjoyed the intricate plotting, the constant twists, and the satisfying blend of legal drama, prison survival, political corruption, and psychological mystery.

Although justice is not entirely served. In one of the drama's most frustrating moments, a villain responsible for horrific crimes dies before his deeds are exposed and is posthumously awarded one of the nation's highest honours by the country's President. Instead of being remembered as a criminal, he is celebrated as a hero—a bitter reminder that truth does not always prevail and that appearances can outlive reality.

For me, this is an easy **10/10** and a highly recommended watch. If you enjoy dramas where nothing is as it seems and every episode leaves you questioning who can truly be trusted, **Big Mouth** delivers brilliantly.

THE BEST STARTING EVER IN BL HISTORY (WORTH THE WAIT )

TICKET TO HEAVEN, WHAT DO YOU MEAN THIS IS ONLY THE START? 😭 The opening was absolutely incredible and I'm already emotionally attached. Gemini and Fourth have me locked in from the first episode, and I can already tell they're about to ruin my life. Fourth said to prepare a box of tissues, and for once I am choosing to listen. My expectations are high, my tissues are ready, and my emotional stability is in danger.If you're not watching Ticket to Heaven yet, what are you doing?
