Really enjoyed this drama, but I wish some things were done different...

The acting was very good, and the story was nice, but there were many elements that were set up but had no payoff or resolution. For example, the whole ordeal with the side couple. They set it up as something very important, and genuinely interesting, especially between the two guys. You find yourself wondering why Attorney Ji would do something so terrible to a friend he so clearly loves a lot. You find yourself wondering what truly happened when you see him cry, unable to reach out to Ji Wook and explain... but then, it kinda is as tough the characters' memories are erased. Ji Wook just forgets what they did to him? He becomes buddies with prosecutor Cha, and by last episode, the two are acting like a couple in front of him and it's like nothing happened. It seems the writers though "Oh, Ji Wook doesn't like prosecutor Cha anymore, so he has to be fine with the situation"... what? they still betrayed him??

Another thing that was left unresolved is the parents. FIrst of all, Bong Hee said she has 2 dads, but then nowhere does she explain who her 2nd dad is. The relationship between both leads and their parents, as well as their relationship with each other's parents, and the relationship between the parents had a lot of potential. It's still strange to me that the last scene where both leads' and their parents were all together on scene (and which was also the first time all of them met), they were disapproving of the relationship. FL's mom ended up accepting the relationship but ML's, no. Lots of loose ends.

Another thing that I just thought of is the dude who sees the future. That plotline was strange and I half expected the show to become a fantasy all of a sudden, but it didn't, and I don't know if this is for the better or for worse. for what it's worth, the drama treated that guy's "skill" as a fact and completely reliable. He ended up predicting the death of 2 people, 1 of which was him... but who was the second? I thought we were gonna lose Mr. Bang, or Mr Byun... but no. So they introduced something and then decided "F it, we don't care anymore" which is kinda weird.

Overall, I think this drama was really good but I gotta admit that the last episodes kinda let me down. Sadly typical of kdramas to do that.


But I didn't hate this drama. The story was decent and the villain wasn't annoying. I love that he wasn't just a pure psycho but actually had a twisted psychology and reasons behind his actions. I kept telling myself that he was a sort of kdrama light Yagami, just with way less power and no death note. I also loved both leads, and how they weren't immature most of the time. I love that the FL stood for herself and that the ML approached their disagreements with humility and respect. They're not my favorite couple ever but they're up there with the good ones. I also liked the enemy to bestie thing with the girl who cheated with the FL's Ex boyfriend. Seems ridiculous but she was geniuenly fun to watch and I ended up liking her more than prosecutor Cha. She definetly deserved a more important spot in the story.

Not sure that I'd rewatch this, but I could see myself rewatch parts of it and skip some parts, especially those with the secondary couple.

watch for the romance, pretend the mystery isn't there bc that's exactly what the writers did

as a character drama focused on their marriage, it's an okay show. the biggest standout to me, (unlike everyone else who watched this show apparently), was lee seol as ko seyun. her portrayal of a mother who lost her daughter, and who (to her knowledge) was basically abandoned by her husband at that time, is incredibly realistic and emotional. i think her actions are very easy to understand in the context of her trauma (if you don't hate women. hah.) i also like namkoong min and seeing him onscreen is generally enjoyable. however, nkm was playing a more generic thriller male lead imo, and if you've seen one, you've seen all of them. he's of course amazing in his role, there just wasn't much to work with, and i only connected to him in the context of how much he loved his wife.

while the romance arc was beautiful, the mystery part, as in the main part of this show, is riddled with plot holes the size of jupiter. we are introduced to no manhui as a serial killer who has been active for five years. this is a fact, not a red herring, and yet, by the end, apparently he was just manipulated into this because he wanted his wife to get surgery?? no manhui and kim gyeongae get married after he kills her abusive boyfriend (landlord?), which fine. but we don't get a timeline of whether this occurred before or after he started killing people. why did he kill the cop's wife? was his wife involved? if he killed the cop's wife before he met kga, why is he suddenly against femicide now? we'll call the mastermind CH to avoid spoilers, but how did CH know that nmh would be up to just kill people? because that's not a normal conversation that you have at a doctor's appointment. and how did nmh end up recording that conversation? there's no way he knew what was up before he sat down, you can tell they were genuinely surprised by how the convo was going.

there's also just general stupidity that goes around to extend the runtime (if we start talking about the cops mishandling the case we'll be here all day).

basically, if you want a romance with a realistic fl with a suspenseful background for aesthetics and nothing else, this is your show. if you want a romantic thriller that actually thrills, just go watch flower of evil.

Very Good One of the Best dramas this summer...

I only watched up to 13. Immediately, you can see that the budget for the trauma is rather low compared to, like, a drama that just finished airing, like Blossoms of Power. The story's plot is very interesting to me. It feels like I just watched every episode really, really fast. It was one of the best dramas this summer; compared to all the dramas I've watched, this is one of my favorite ones so far. FL's acting is SOOO good, and the ML has that emperor gaze; the acting is really good. He has those microexpressions, and you can see that he's trying not to feel jealous and stuff. It's just really good acting. Even though the opening was definitely AI, I was kind of sad, actually, but the story is so good compared to Blossoms of Power. The beginning had a really strong start, and then around it got so slow it was just the ML chasing the FL. :(

Encore une mini-série qui n'assume pas...

Une intrigue de base très clichée : une femme ordinaire qui rentre dans une bd pour vivre une histoire extraordinaire.
Au début c'est plutôt marrant : ça parodie ouvertement les dramas romantiques. Mais comme très souvent avec les mini-séries, ça ne s'assume pas et ce qui commence léger et amusant finit par se prendre au sérieux et nous sert les éternels complots politiques, crises de larmes à répétition et amours tragiques... C'est dommage.
Beaucoup de scènes de baisers mais pas très réussies, c'est principalement dû à l'actrice qui semble toujours raide dans ces moments et hyper concentrée (mais pas dans le bon sens).
Le quatrième prince est drôle, il forme une bonne équipe avec la petite sœur.

Give it a Chance

I love all of Jung Hae-In's dramas so I was excited to give this one a go. It is definitely your run of the mill rom com, but there's nothing wrong with it! I don't understand how some reviews can complain about a drama being exactly as it was advertised lol

The FL was extremely confident in her personality, job, and love for the ML; which I loved because it gave her character space to be funny and less dramatic than other dramas I've seen. (the actress did a great job executing this)

The ML had a very convincing shy guy, tough guy combo which I personally love. the love he had for her and his family felt very innocent and pure. I also like seeing Jung Hae-In in things other than melodrama and action, but he obviously has a knack for the quiet characters.

Overall the actors did a good job, the story was a good combo of action, drama, and extremely fluffy romance (which I feel like was constant callback to the "sticky"/"taffy"-filled love.

It doesn't feel too slow burn and the drama isn't too frustrating which is why I can see myself watching this one again. Definitely give it a shot if you want something with a little action and a lot of fluff.

Not worth your time and survival required the skip/fast-forward button

If someone had told me at the beginning that a drama starring a powerhouse cast and based on top-tier source material would result in one of the most logically bankrupt character arcs in recent C-drama history, I wouldn't have believed you. Yet, here we are. The Legend of Rosy Clouds had potential, but the screenwriting for the female lead, Fan Yun, is an absolute masterclass in character assassination, selective naivety, and emotional hypocrisy.

1. The "Selectively Naive" Heroine: Fan Yun is introduced as an ambitious, forward-thinking pioneer wanting to reform the government and serve the people and to prove to the world that female can also perform men dominant positions and better. Yet, when it comes to basic threat assessment and human character, her brain completely shuts off. She spends the entire show falling for Zheng Shi's victim act and total manipulation, acting completely blind to the high-stakes political chess happening around her. Watching her navigate court politics while being utterly clueless about who is actually holding the knife isn't "innocence"—it’s unwatchable writing.

2. Baffling Moral & Emotional Inversions. The most infuriating part of her character writing comes in the final act, where her emotional priorities defy all human logic. Mourning an Abuser over Family: When her own mother passes, the emotional impact feels almost glossed over. But when Zheng Shi—a man who sexually abused her, forced her into marriage, tried to murder her partner, and attempted to burn down half the region—finally dies? Cue endless rivers of tragic tears, deep sorrow, and unending grief. Lying and Gaslighting: She wanted to stay in Jing City claiming she stayed behind to "help Zheng Xi," when in reality, she was lingering over the grave of a traitor who tried to destroy everything. Lying directly to Qi Zheng’s face after everything he sacrificed for her is peak disrespect.

3. Complete Disregard for Protocol & Duty: For someone whose entire storyline revolves around becoming a respected official and changing the rules, she routinely ignores basic operational protocol: Qi Zheng isn't just her romantic interest; he is Her Excellency, the Lord of the City, and she is his direct subordinate. By rule, law, and basic professional duty, her very first task upon returning from Jing City was to report to him. Instead, she plays mind games, have dinner with family and friends and not even to ask where is Qi Zheng, actively avoids him to the point where Wei Ying literally has to set a trap just to drag her into the same place with Qi Zheng.

4. Qi Zheng Deserved Better: Qi Zheng spent 36 episodes carrying the kingdom, the political strategy, and her entire family on his back. He gave up everything, humiliated by her excuse to divorce him, protected her at every turn, and even secured the Zheng clan's future by handing the genuine clan leader ring to Zheng Xi. In return? He gets treated like an afterthought while she pine-mopes over a manipulative villain who treated her like a trophy. The rushed, three-minute "happy ending" slapped onto the finale feels completely unearned after watching her pine over her abuser until the literal last frame.

Final Verdict, in my opinion, lack of intelligence and awareness, and ignorance, so not worth your time to watch, and survival required the skip/fast-forward button. The only way to get through this show with your sanity intact is by smashing the 30-second skip button every time Fan Yun and Zheng Shi share the screen, except the last two episodes. If you're looking for a competent female lead with a functioning brain, keep walking. The Legend of Rosy Clouds set the bar on the floor, drove over it, and kept digging. Fan Yun a.k.a Dumb Dumb

90% of this movie had 0 voice yet it made sense.

This is by far one of the sweetest movies I have seen in my entire life. If you like an adorable story with just 2 big green flags, I really suggest this movie. I have to admit that I did not yet watch the original story but after watching this movie I will definitely do so. I am extremely surprised by how much I liked it and actually didn't expect much. This was stunning, the shots were amazing and it didn't feel slow. I am a huge fan of Hong Kyung and I did not expect less, but I also wasn't prepared for this much. This show gave me extreme comfort. People mention it not being anything different than the other version, I cannot speak about that since I have not seen the Taiwan version like I mentioned before.

I love seeing Hong Kyung play as Yong Jun, his acting in both Weak hero and D.P was amazing (I didn't like O Beom Seok but that's about the character and not the actors himself). I think his innocent face, which he actually won a reward for, made it 10000 times beter. Also, I am not much of a kpop Stan anymore but I was extremely surprised that Kim Min Ju played in this!! I used to really like IZ*ONE so that was a surprise to me. Both Min Ju and Yoon Seo really look like siblings and I love it when they do that in dramas. I don't even look alike my brother but still. Yeo Reum seems like a really nice and sweet girl and I totally get why Yong Jun would fall for her.

I might get cancelled for this but I am extremely happy that this movie was made especially in a country where having a disability is seen as something weird. What I loved even more was their actual showcase of that. There's just a big acceptance problem and a lot of shows ignore that. This show got me thinking to learn sign language. I think it's a very useful language to be able to at least understand the basics of. What I also loved about this movie is that some actors are actually fluent in sign language and most learned it, like O Ji Yeong being fluent in it and I just can't help but feels so glad that Hong Kyung actually learned sign language for this role. Roh Yoon Seo also learned it and mentioned practising in front of a mirror. Kim Min Ju actually practised swimming lessons and sign language aswell. I am just extremely surprised about the time and effort they took in making it look as realistic as possible. I've never seen any other drama that Cho Sun Ho directed but this was amazing and I hope he gets the opportunity to make something amazing again.

Actually I guessed a scene in the movie from very early beginning. I just had this weird feeling that Yeo Reum wasn't actually deaf. The miscommunication and the random plot twist was kind of expected but I still thought it was adorable. Anyways, I really enjoyed this movie and it is currently one of my favourite movies. Definitely a big recommend and I can't believe how underrated this is.

Great Drama

This is such a great drama that i have rewatched too many times to count. The CP between the keads is definitely off the charts. My only problem really is when her sistwr married the guy she didnt want to begin with. Her sister did a great favor. As rich as she was, why didnt she help money-wise? She was totaly rich and didnt help her sister which made me upset. She was not suppose to ignore the past, but she didnt like her betrothed to begin with. Had she helped her more, her sister wouldnt have faced so many defeating events. It made me look down on her pristine character and question the ethics of her character. She knew her sister's mother was horribke. Had she stepoed in ti help her, they may have had a beautiful life. SMH...sigh. i guess we all have dlaws that we don't acknowledge.

Not the best, not the worst

A Dog and Plane is light hearted, funny, has great actors, and a very sub-mediocre plot. As a long time BL fan, I feel like recently I keep writing the same things about GMMTV lately, over and over. They have great actors, great marketing, but they skip on the quality and focus on the quantity.

TayNew are phenomenal actors with great chemistry and they deserve so much better. Early on, the drama was funny and I felt like it leaned into being a cheesy comedy and it worked great. However, in the middle of the series it lost steam and just became fluff and fan service filler for the last 4-5 episodes.

If you want something light hearted, that doesn't require too much attention, then this show would be a good one for you, but if you are looking for a deep plot or story line, you may want to save yourself the frustration. Otherwise, you will find yourself irritated at watching another mediocre GMMTV drama that wastes and sacrifices the phenomenal talent of two of its actors on the altar of silly fan service.

Kadang cinta itu berbagai genre, kadang noir, kadang thriller, kadang komedi, kadang romantis.

Fyi, aku bukan tipikal ngereview setiap drama yg udah ku tonton, kalo emang punya waktu dan tergerak pengen ngereview atau engga emang lagi pengen nulis aja.

Ngeliat ini tuh karena Jung Haein yg jadi pemeran utamaya. Karena sebelumnya Haein masih melekat di aku semenjak aku jadi tim penonton on going Love Next Door akhirnya aku selalu ngikutin dia scr konsisten dg semua hal dan segala aktifitasnya.

Oke, kita masuk ke pov reviewku yaaa..
• Dari segi cerita menurutku cukup flop yaa *no salty plz* dengan pemberian 12 eps yg mengangkat cerita seringan dan sesimpel ini menurutku sangat cukup berdurasi panjang yaaa seriesnya dibuat sampe 12 eps, ada scene-scene yg menurutku punya screen time yg buanyak yg ga perlu tp dimasukkin aja biar durasinya lama. Jadi bikin bosen banget banget.
(jujur, aku sering ketiduran pas lihat ini. terus juga krn ceritanya yg mudah ringan dan mudah ditebak, jadi kayak ngerasa lama banget namatinnya)
• Dari segi makna yg diberikan menurutku relate, nuansa pedesaan dg segala huru-haranya ya relate, penyampaian makna drama cukup membangun (aku agak lupa eps berapa, pokoknya pas end-prolog Eunsae yg ku angkat jadi headline review ini btw dan pas scene neneknya nguatin Eunsae bilangin tentang makin panasnya tungku maka permennya makin kuat *cmiiw)
• Dari segi plot twistnyaa dapet pas di eps terakhir, lucunya juga so so but its okay
• Dari segi acting menurutku pas scene noir Haein tetep ketje sih (emang ku rasa dia cocok main genre action) kalo genre light ringan gini Jung Haein masih juarak di LND *mian (aku tau padahal Haein nyobain hal genre baru rom-com, 2nd choice ini, tapi yg di LND malah jadi one shoot alias ga keliatan kalo dia tuh juga lagi adaptasi, gong aku masih ketinggalan dia era LND)
• Ngomongin soal cerita yg diangkat, penyampaiannya, pasti akan engga jauh2 dg bangun penjiwaan peran aktingnya kann.. Nah kalo disini menurutku Haein disini banyak kaku kikunya sepanjang eps (iya, walaupun emang ngangkat peran yg blm pernah pacaran sama sekali, cuma kikuknya itulo keliatan banget. Bener2 yg tegang banget gituu?!! kurang luwes. Padahal aku nonton Haein yaa ga sekali dua kali liat dramanya, tapi disini keliatan bgt tegang kikuknya sampe ending. Apa mungkin kurang bangun chemistry sama lawan main? idk. Kalo dari segi akting Hayoun disini tuh dia kebanyak yg kayak serius gitu.. pas lagi scenenya komedi dia mimiknya kurang luwes dan masih keliatan tegang serius gitu. kalo dari segi keduanya dalam satu scene tuh kurang yg salting gitulo, ga balance ajaa.. emang sih sesuai judul kalo bakalan lengket, tapi mimik yg diutarakan tuh yg Hayoung ceria banyak maunya yg Haein kayak salting sendiri (?) salting yg kurang natural, maybe?
• Dari segi music ga ada yg nyantol dia aku juga hehe "mian
Overall yg sebelumnya pas eps 2/3 aku kasih 7,5/10 setelah namatin dan tau endingnya aku ngasih 7/10 hehe cukup lama namatinnya tapi beres juga. Sekian.

"Boys" & "Girls Drama" , Jung Hae In Edition

The casting is probably one of the strongest points of this drama. Jung Hae In is someone you already know and trust as an actor, and he is completely comfortable in both sides of his image. At 38, he can still absolutely pull off the cute, soft, marshmallow-like side of his characters, which he has already demonstrated so well in his successful romantic dramas. And for fans who loved him through series like *D.P.*, don't worry — you'll get all those ingredients too.

He really is in his element when it comes to “boys’ dramas,” lol so to sum it up, this feels like a perfect scenario for fans of both his more “girly” romantic dramas and his more "masculine" series.

The heroine is actually the best-written character in the series, and she carries it ok, despite some inconsistencies in the acting. The only part that genuinely touched me was the ending involving the gangster character. It was well acted, but unfortunately way too brief and ultimately a little rushed.

As for the supporting characters, the three ladies are basically the comedic driving force of the show. They are the heavy hitters among the supporting cast, and they really bring a lot of the charm. However, I wish they had been given better writing, because after a while they start feeling too caricatural.

The Japanese friend’s cameo was very memorable! ;) The doctor was also one of the best characters, although unfortunately, the writing for his character became rather bland toward the end.

So, despite all its flaws and strengths, I watched the series all the way to the end. It’s a good way to pass the time without overthinking it or getting too deep into criticism. And, of course, the cast is solid overall.

Short and Sweet

Literally loved this so much, I wish it was a full season. Me and Thee was so goofy so I expected nothing less and they really delivered lol. I was laughing every episode, I LOVE Thee and Pond plays him so perfectly.

This was just so short and sweet so you got exactly what you were expecting. Nothing too deep but also gives enough to set up another season (hopefully 🤞). I need more WilliamEst and EmiBonnie so pls GMM

Anyways PondPhuwin play these characters so well this was the perfect like honeymoon mini series. And I just have to mention that last episode alone I rate 9 stars it was just perfect!

Too damn long for not much

First things first, before I dive in: this series did not need to be this long, especially when, during what was supposed to be "the last episode," I found myself saying, "Please don't let this be the end." Again, 36 episodes later, and I still don't feel complete. What is going on? Honestly, it wasn't until episode 14 that the series really started to pick up and become interesting.

This was also my first time seeing some of these actors, and I have to say that the casting team was spot on. Their portrayal of the characters was amazing, and most of the characters showed growth and development throughout the show.

Now, let me talk about Meng Zi Yi. She is absolutely amazing at what she does. I've been a fan of her work since *Blossom*, and she truly is an incredible actress. I loved her portrayal of Shen Xi He despite her pissing me off. Secondly, this was my first time watching He You, and I must admit that I completely understand the hype surrounding him. He is much more than just eye candy. As for Hua Yong, he is honestly the type of man we would all want to marry. The way he secured her success and paved a path for both her and his son was truly admirable.

Let's also talk about the icing on the cake for me: the second leads. Bu Shu Lin and Cui Jin Bai gave me more butterflies than the main couple—OMG! They really should have been given more screen time. Bu Shu Lin's hidden identity and Cui Jin Bai falling in love with "him" was a beautiful example of how you can fall in love with someone's soul and the way they make you feel.

Xiao Chang Ying had, in my opinion, the biggest character growth throughout the series. I was really hoping that we would at least get to see a friendship develop between him and Shen Ying Ruo, but like I said, a lot of storylines were either cut short, underdeveloped, or simply abandoned.

Also, Jeremy Xu as Xiao Chang Qing was truly phenomenal. Yes, his character is a psychopath, but Jeremy's ability to express Chang Qing's emotions was almost beautiful. For a moment, during episodes 30 and 31, I genuinely thought that he was going to change and finally come to his senses. You could really see how much Hua Yong missed that brotherly bond with him.

Overall, I feel like the show doesn't give viewers any real sense of closure, despite having so many incredible characters. I still have so many questions: how, when, why, and what exactly were they trying to accomplish with Hua Yong's five-year disappearance? The series doesn't even have a fantasy or magical element, so that entire plot point felt incredibly strange.

That being said, I have to admit that the plot twist at the end was GOOD. But they fuck it up.. sorry!

Super slow dialogues...what a pity, this would have been so good with normal dialogues.

The slow dialogues made this drama kind of boring to watch. The actors were talking so slowly with long pauses between the lines that it looked like they had trouble remembering their lies. Then add the many long stretched scenes where they were just looking at each other. I felt like they did that to make the drama longer, or add suspense, but it all made it just boring to watch. I watched part of this drama on my phone and watched lots of scenes in double speed to make it more enjoyable.
I really don't mind a very slow pased drama, but this was different. For me this was really a big error made by the production.

The story was nice with good music and the visuals were stunning!
All actors did a good job, but for me Mark really stood out with his acting.
There was some chemistry between the leads and they only had one short sweet kiss at the end.
I didn't feel any chemistry with the second couple.

A cute, fluffy rom-com with decent comedy. The chemistry between Tae Ha and Eun Sae was lovely—they were adorable together, even though sometimes, the romance didn't feel that natural.

The drama did feel a bit slow and boring around Episodes 5–7, but it picked up again from Episode 8. The twist in Episodes 11–12 also added a nice layer to the story and made the final stretch more engaging.

The whole village was like a small family. Loved them alot. I also loved the friendship between Doctor An and Eun Sae, especially their greeting high-five.

I also liked how the drama balanced romance, comedy, and action without letting one overshadow the others.

Overall, it's a light, feel-good watch that's perfect if you're in the mood for a sweet romance.
