The Wonderfools absolutely rocks.

This is easily the most fun I've had with anything superhero related in a very long time.

Park Eun-bin is the main reason I ended up watching this and she did not disappoint at all. Absolutely stole every scene she was in. She's just the best. The entire cast around her was also just so good from top to bottom. The other Wonderfools, Choi Dae-hoon, Im Sung-jai, and Cha Eun-Woo all absolutely crushed it too.

This show also did something with its villains that I found to be incredibly interesting. They were all very intimidating, but (pretty much) all of them were sympathetic characters who you could fully understand where they were coming from. Both the heroes and the villains had super creative ways of using their powers over the course of the show as well, which continued to surprise me as the show went on.

I just had an absolute blast with this. I seemed to like each episode even more than the one before it, and I was entertained from start to finish. Easy recommendation from me.

A comfort show with a fantastic lead performance

This show is phenomenal and pretty much exactly what I needed right now. It immediately became a comfort show for me.

Woo Young Woo is just such a wholesome and loveable protagonist played to perfection by Park Eun-bin. I think it has been a while since I've connected with a protagonist on a show. She made the most of every single moment she was on screen and though I was worried the character was going to be a bit gimmicky at the beginning of the show, but it really ended up being such an incredible and nuance performance of character with autism. I loved when she went into her rants about whales or the the law, and I always got pumped every time she had one of her "whale moments". I really loved the Maytree song that played every time she got one as well. And the theme song. It always made me happy to hear it.

The rest of the cast and characters were all great too. I really enjoyed how certain characters and their relationships with Woo developed over the course of the show. I liked how the relationship between Woo and Kang Tae-oh's Le Joon Ho was a bit complicated and took a little while to develop. I really liked his performance in this as well. I loved how the relationship between Woo and Ha Yoon-kyeong's Choi Soo Yeon started off a bit antagonistic, but once Woo told her how she felt, they were pretty solid friends after that. I also really liked Dong Geurami and kind of wish there was more of her over the course of the season. I absolutely loved their little Woo to the Young to the Woo Dong to the Geu to the Rami thing. That made me very happy every time it happened.

Not every episode was perfect, there were times toward the middle to the end of the season where things felt like they were possibly beginning to wear a bit thin, but then the finale was just so fantastic. It really made me feel a feeling of fulfillment.

As I was writing this review I bumped it up from a 4.5 to a 5, because the the more I thought about it the more I really loved it. If there is a season 2, I very much look forward to it. If there isn't for some reason, this was a pretty fantastic season.

Favorite Episodes:
Episode 8 - A Tale About Sedeok-dong II
Episode 16 - Though Unusual and Peculiar

why are we hating literally

lwk just found out people hated this, for me this is a favorite. It’s literally on my repeatable dramas.
it’s has a great story line, a bunch of plot twists.
if it’s about the acting i know you f lying cause they carried, if only they would stick to those type of characters in other dramas.
Anyways love it.

Absolutely incredible.

Just beautiful. It was hilarious, it was heartwarming and at times absolutely devastating.

This series got me so completely invested in these characters. I loved the decades spanning stories that all cast the younger and older versions of characters so well. Every version of Ae-sun and Gwan-sik was so good and I was always rooting for them. IU was fantastic in her double roles as Ae-sun and Geum-myeong to the point where it took me a bit to realize they were the same actor. Moon So-ri, Park Hae-joon and Park Bo-gum were all great too.

I expected this to be good based on the reviews and everything, but I didn't expect it to hit me quite as hard as it did. One of the best seasons of TV I've watched.

A romance fantasy with a yearning male lead and a determined female lead

The current reviews are harsh. I do agree, this show would have done better if it came out closer to its production and completion. I also do with we got those seven cut episodes because I do think it would have buffed out some more under explored aspects. That said…I loved it! If LBFAD can have an 8.7/10, I don't see why this show can't hit at least 8.

It gave me Love Between Fairy and Devil vibes not because of the demon lord vs fairy concept but the coloring and overall production — but with an arguably more satisfying ending.

The things about this show I loved:
- Though the romance was overall more lowkey because of Jiang Li Fei’s (rightful) distrust of Lei Xiu Yuan for much of the show, their chemistry and tension carried. Lei Xiu Yuan also did such a great job yearning so I was satisfied with that.
- The group friendship(s) were super cute and I loved them a lot
- I enjoyed the general side characters. I think the antagonists were a bit one dimensional but the various antagonists make up for that. I also liked the different masters than look out for the main leads, they were all so great with distinct personalities.
- I loved the costumes and overall production vibe – pretty pastels and fun energy
- Baili Ge Lin and Lu Li were very cute and I super enjoyed not just their romance but relationship and personalities.
- Ri Yan and Qing Cheng’s friendship was fun but I liked Qing Cheng’s background a lot.
- Some people said it was slow but the pacing felt perfect to me, it’s one the first shows in a long time that I DIDN’T watch at 2x speed. I actually watched 99% of the show at 1x speed which says a lot. While parts of the editing and story continuity were chopping, the plot was always moving forward in a way that made sense.

The things about this show I didn’t love:
- Ji Tong Zhou’s storyline wasn’t unexpected but I would have loved him not not have fallen into the cliche obsessed route
- Miao Qing was a great character but I’m not sure I liked her ending. She dies for a man that literally did not give 2 cents about her. Even before he becomes consumed with evil, he was pretty indifferent to her so I’m also a bit lost as to why her death made him grieve so much and why it’s what does him in. We could say it’s regret for not appreciating her but I just don’t feel like that was well insinuated or built up towards.
- I wish we got more substantial flashbacks of Ye Sha & the Divine Tree in the past.
- She always dies for him to help him but then the calamity is a curse due to the immortals killing her so I feel like there could have been a lot more provided her rather than only the make out and death scenes.
- I felt like I missed something in terms of the demon land and how they got stuck but finally went back but then started coming back again at the end 10 years later
- Someone pointed out that big reveals are glossed over.
- I watch a lot of romantic fantasy and they all follow pretty similar beats so I didn’t think much of it in the moment but I do think the fact that the main leads just casually remember their past without much fanfare holds that fates intertwined aspect back.
- I think they glossed over some pretty big deaths quickly. Si Mo is mentioned and mourned but his head was literally cut off??? Like excuse me?? And then even with the ending IDK if I feel like Ye Ye and Chang Yue’s deaths made sense. Like they did but also didn’t. It all happened so fast. Shao Min’s death was “fine” ig but I hated that she died fr.
- I loved Lei Xiu Yuan’s puppy sick love for Jiang Li Fei but it gets undercut by her stubbornness. She loves him and argued that fate could be changed only to be completely apathetic to his pleas for finding a middle ground and even now I still don’t understand why she doubted him? Like I get be betrayed her when they were younger but we already established his real reason was to save his brother and that he was more or less tricked and she forgave him eventually so I still don’t understand why she suddenly became so cold to him again…I think this links back to those missing 7 episodes.

Worth watching

I really loved the story. Li Hongyi & Kong Xue'er are absolutely looking good together. I never imagined both together working in a drama and they adapted with each other. But they are airing 1 or 2 episode(s) per day and we have the habit of watching 5/6 episodes in the very first day of premiere. But i didn't expect the story would start with romantic kissing scenes. In the beginning only I felt butterfly in my stomach 😭💗. The drama will premiere 9:30AM (IST) in the morning which is quite good.

Strong episode one, and goes downard from there, until a horrible ending.

Some scenes are way too long, and others too short.

Barely any chemistry between the main characters.

The only thing that saves this show is that I watched it with friends.

The acting was as plain as boiled chicken breast without salt. I know it's going to sound very rude, but the direction of Boon's and Win's acting was so bad, I actually think cardboard cutouts would have had more emotion as well as better chemistry. What makes it worse is that whenever they are acting possessed they seem to have more emotion and intent.

Boon does what amount to nothing, and everything she does is basically worthless and ends badly... Like nearly every single time she does something, either a prayer, a spell, a good thought, no matter what it calls the ghosts and ends badly.

I know it's gonna sound insane but the fact that Win doesn't stop crying is annoying (it does sound insane cuz everything goes wrong in Win's life so she has a reason to cry), as well as the constant laughter of Jomkwan that interrupts the slight suspense that builds up, it seems she laughs all the goddamned time, girl shut up.

The entire past life plot was so bad I have to laugh, what do you mean they broke up (multiple times btw) and still Jomkwan has haunted them for "75" lives (I put 75 in quotes because it makes no sense that the whole thing happened 60 years ago).

My friends and I where constantly confused over what was happening, and had to rewatch a couple scenes over only to realize how dumb everything was.

Such a messy family too, Pol sucks (and also why even have a pseudo incest plot anyway?).

Jomkwan's ghost is also too broken, too OP, literally nothing works against her. I kept wondering how they would defeat her, so obviously they didn't.

It also ends in a cliffhanger for a second season that never came (and never will, I think).

Well Constructed and Enjoyable

Doctor on the Edge is a predictable medical rom-com expertly told about a trauma-carrying doctor who learns to value the remote island community where he completes his civil service. Navigating medical ethics, public safety, political pressure, and love, the well-drawn characters generate conflicts that arise naturally from their competing motivations and interests. A warm-hearted, idealized slice of life that explores connection, humanity, and healing. Enjoy.

Cute side stories but...

First, I want to say that I'm very grateful that the fansubber also subbed these special episodes. It's rare that they get subbed at all! I kinda put off watching the "Anpan" spin-off because so far any asadora specials have been kinda useless... Then before I knew it, several months have passed since I finished "Anpan." I will say that some distance may have increased my enjoyment a bit, though maybe not for the third episode...

Episode one is probably my favorite and the most enjoyable. Set in 1948, Kentaro (Takahashi Fumiya) proposes to Meiko (Hara Nanoka) on her birthday with some help from her sister Ranko (Kawai Yuumi). This entry portrays a moment that viewers likely wanted to see, but was skipped over in the main series for whatever reason. It's also just a really cute story.

The second episode is kind-of a half useless storyline. Set in 1976, Meiko is helping out behind the scenes at the "Anpanman" musical. For example, Hirame (Hamano Kenta) suddenly has a problem with the way his Anpanman costume looks. When Meiko is asked to step in for one of the sick dancers, Nobu (Imada Mio) gives her some encouragement with their father's old hat. The scene between Meiko and Nobu makes this episode worth watching imo, but it's still half useless.

Episode three is easily the worst as it's just full of characters I don't remember that well or didn't care for much to begin with. Set in 1974, Takuya (Ohmori Motoki) is having a hard time with his new song. Takashi (Kitamura Takumi) stops by and helps him. They sing the song at the end. I admit that I fell asleep and I had to go back and skim it for this review lol. Extremely skippable.

The fourth episode is the second best. Set in 1989, Nobu asks Seiko (Furukawa Kotone) to look after Takashi after she has passed on. There's not much plot to speak of if we're being honest. Instead the episode serves as a sentimental goodbye to "Anpan" with several callbacks to Anpanman and earlier moments and characters. I cried watching Nobu reminiscing about her memories with Takashi.

In conclusion, the "Anpan" spin-off is four (mostly) cute side stories but it is not required viewing. Anyway, I'd still recommend it if you're a big fan of "Anpan."

A Drama That Finds Its Heart in the End

Love For You was a really nice watch. I wouldn't say I loved it, but I definitely liked it and enjoyed my time with it. The biggest strength of the drama is the cast—they all fit their roles so well, and the chemistry between the leads made their relationship feel natural and easy to root for. It had a lot of sweet and heartwarming moments that kept me invested.

I also really liked the message at the end. Seeing them finally work through everything and find a home in each other was such a comforting way to wrap up the story. It wasn't an over-the-top ending, just a simple and satisfying one that fit the drama well.

My only real issue was that the story could've been a little stronger. At times it felt like some important conversations were missing, and a few conflicts dragged on longer than they needed to. I wasn't a fan of the male lead hiding things from the female lead because he thought it was the best way to protect her. I know his heart was in the right place, but I would've rather seen him trust her and let them face things together.

Still, those moments didn't ruin the drama for me. It may not be one of my favorites, but it's a warm, feel-good watch with a lovely cast, good chemistry, and an ending that leaves you smiling. Sometimes that's all you really need.

little generic, but good

there are three really great actors in this that i’ve watched thier works and this wouldn’t be in the top of all thier works, but it comes out to be a good movie. there are some points where the generic and plausible things happen and characters make the typical decisions made in these zombie movies and dramas, but it wasn’t too over the top and something that wasn’t able to be moved from.

me divertí

There is definitely a twist coming up, i can feel it!!!

The story starts out slow but the build-up is worth waiting for. From the way the story is panning out, i know there must be a twist in the coming episodes... i can feel it in my bones. All that silent reading of financial times and listening to BLQ's friends talking and sharing of insider info, LXF must be quietly learning and planning something. He really can't be that dense.

Like BLQ, i think LXF knows how to seduce the person he likes. "You did that on purpose" is repeated in the series. It is a hint to the audience. Can't wait for the coming episodes.

It is frustrating how LXF's family treat him but i think that is how many people from rural areas are... the act of selling of own children for a better future isn't a practice confined to China. It happens in every country. It is sad though.

Stay on this road!!! I think the ending will be worth it.

Disappointing to watch FL be a totally mean and selfish

At some point earlier on the FL should showed a more softer side go the ML by the time the writers decided she she would be halfway decent to the ML she already became disliked hard to watch.. maybe the writers are a man hater, but she treated him like crap even when he stood by her after she killed his spirit over and over again… the story line could have been alot better and rhe FL could have been more smart far as brain sense to help him overcome his enemies.. I think them working together as a team in a kind way would have been better.. the FL was wayyyyy to harsh to the ML and I am a female myself.. her rudeness was beyond watchable the more he loved her the more she was mean and very manipulative, treating him like a puppet sad to see and hard to watch

Highly recommended

This series is so, so good—everything about it is just right. Hou Minghao and Aimi are absolutely brilliant in their roles, and the supporting cast is excellent, too. The plot is full of unpredictable twists and turns, keeping you hooked from the very first minute to the last. The action scenes featuring Hou Minghao are breathtaking, and he performed all his own stunts. The romance between the two leads is wonderful as well; there is absolutely no need to worry about the age gap. And then there’s the fantastic soundtrack—Hou Minghao performs both the opening and ending themes. All in all, it’s an incredibly good series that I would highly recommend to everyone.
